Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 964: Chapter 464: When the Moon Is Full, It Wanes; When Water Is Full, It Overflows (First Update)

Having confirmed that the kneeling doll is indeed the ”Nightmare Town” for this occasion, everyone’s confidence soared.

The Peony team of four prepares the items needed for exorcism, while the Magnolia team of four prepares the geomantic formation.

Back in the Magnolia guest room, Full Daoist was worried: ”...Now that it’s confirmed to be Nightmare Town, is our geomantic formation still necessary?”

He felt that the Peony team might have the advantage...

Mr. Zhuge smiled, sitting on the sofa, fiddling with a small Eight Diagrams Ebony Handpiece, confidently said: ”If it really is Nightmare Town, both feng shui and exorcism must proceed simultaneously. Otherwise, Miss Zhu will not wake up.”

Lawrence Winters was also handling a set of Big Five Emperors Coins, correcting Mr. Zhuge’s imprecise statement: ”...With just exorcism, Miss Zhu will wake. But whether she’ll be okay or not isn’t certain.”

Daoist Wang widened his eyes, very surprised: ”...Lawrence, can you clarify? If she wakes up, then isn’t she okay? How could she not necessarily be okay?”

Lawrence Winters slapped the Big Five Emperors Coins, threaded with red tassels, onto the table with a crisp sound, his eyes flashed lightly as he said casually: ”Because that’s only treating the symptoms, not the root cause. The main function of the geomantic formation is to eradicate the root.”

”Lawrence, do you mean that removing the kneeling doll isn’t enough?” Full Daoist pondered, ”But if it’s Nightmare Town, finding the object of curse, removing the evil influence, and then burning it should eradicate it, right...”

Lawrence Winters swept his gaze over the three faces in the room and finally landed it on Mr. Zhuge, who was half-smiling, and said with a smile: ”Mr. Zhuge, what do you think?”

Mr. Zhuge at this point had some admiration for Lawrence Winters.

This young woman looked to be quite young, but her insights in feng shui were astute, on par with those of grand geomancers with decades of experience.

He met Lawrence’s gaze, nodded approvingly, ”Lawrence is correct, the evil influence of Nightmare Town typically appears in conjunction with a geomantic formation.”

Full Daoist suddenly had a realization: ”So you two mean there’s an additional evil-enhancing geomantic formation here!”

Lawrence Winters decided not to hold back, crossed her arms, and decisively said: ”Yes, there must be another geomantic formation here, hidden behind Nightmare Town, which plays a guiding, expanding, and strengthening role on it. If we don’t dismantle the original geomantic formation...we can save Miss Zhu once, but not a second time.”

Full Daoist and Daoist Wang exchanged glances, after a while, said: ”But didn’t you say previously that the feng shui here was good?”

Daoist Wang looked at Mr. Zhuge, stammering, ”...Mr. Zhuge also said the feng shui here was done by your master, could it be that your master...”

”The hidden geomantic formation here was definitely not done by my master. My master was an upright person, how could he create such a disgraceful ’dirty formation’?” Mr. Zhuge was displeased, ”Also, my master passed away before Miss Zhu was born.”

So it certainly wasn’t Mr. Zhuge’s master.

Lawrence Winters didn’t think it was her master either.

Because she could sense that the hidden geomantic formation here, like the kneeling doll, was something very new, having appeared less than a year ago.

”Then how do we find the hidden geomantic formation?” Full Daoist frowned, ”Do we need to dig three meters deep or tear down walls and excavate?”

”Look at the renderings.” Lawrence Winters looked towards Mr. Zhuge, ”Don’t you have the drawings?”

Mr. Zhuge took out his tablet, continuing to showcase the renderings he had obtained.

However, his picture only depicted the exterior appearance, without showing the specific interior structure of the house.

Everyone tried for a long time but still couldn’t see the house’s internal structure.

Finally, Mr. Zhuge couldn’t take it anymore, saying: ”Let’s draw it by hand.”

He took out an Apple-specific stylus, opened the drawing board on the iPad, and began sketching the interior structure.

This Mr. Zhuge was certainly skilled, no doubt he drew well-rendered diagrams.

Despite only graduating high school, he had a particular talent in drawing, self-taught in 3D rendering, although not familiar with computer software operation, his hand drawings were of a master level.

Not long after, a perspective view of the interior appeared on his iPad.

Mr. Zhuge then projected it onto the LCD screen on the wall.

”This way, it’s clearer,” Mr. Zhuge said slowly, ”The kneeling doll was found in the bathroom of the room adjacent to Miss Zhu’s. If there are no unexpected errors, the Array Hub of the hidden geomantic formation should also be nearby.”
