Wizard: I Add Points and Hunt Monsters

Hm?

That Saintess from the Dawn Church who obtained the Heroic Authority?

Wei’en overheard the conversation of a few Extraordinaries nearby and thought to himself, ’Is she really that terrifying? Casually slaughtering Director Level Extraordinaries?’

”Your Excellency Faceless?”

”That’s me.”

Flanta had noticed his arrival long ago, but the glaring number 44 left him so terrified that he didn’t dare to speak rashly.

’With this level of Origin Power, His Excellency Faceless must be close to becoming an Intermediate Mage, right?’

”Apologies, I... I saw your number... and was startled.”

”Just good luck.”

”This is more than just luck. Your knowledge and strength must surely surpass my imagination.”

Wei’en just smiled at the compliment. ”It’s probably like when you Blood Spirit Mages acquire the corpse of a high-level Holy Professional.”

Flanta: ”...”

Although it was true, the Wizards from their Blood Spirit School had already stopped.

However, he knew His Excellency Faceless was just making a remark, so he didn’t dwell on it too much.

”Your Excellency, my two seniors, Lance and Sico Mage, have received the Aberration-Suppressing Potions you sent and asked me to thank you on their behalf.”

”There’s no need for thanks. If they hadn’t provided the formula and ingredients, I wouldn’t have learned how to make the Aberration-Suppressing Potions either.”

”Um...” Flanta hesitated for a moment before saying, ”They would like to order some more Aberration-Suppressing Potions from you, especially the perfect-grade ones.”

’Business is here!’

Wei’en pretended to think for a moment. ”Let’s talk about it later. I have other, more important things to do these next couple of days.”

’As a remarkably talented Alchemist, one has to maintain a certain style.’

”Of course, of course. The two perfect-grade Aberration-Suppressing Potions you provided will be enough for them to absorb for a while.” Flanta breathed a sigh of relief. As long as it wasn’t an outright rejection, he could report back without issue.

Wei’en glanced around. ”From what those people were just saying, that Heroic Saintess is already on the move?”

”That is indeed the case...”

Flanta said with a wry smile, ”To be honest with Your Excellency, during this time, any Wizard from our school in the Eastern Continent has either gone into hiding or is trying to find a way to leave.”

”They don’t dare show their faces in their usual haunts, all of them worried that the Saintess will turn her spear on them.”

”I remember you said last time that after the acquired corpses are used, you give them a proper burial. Even so, the Dawn Church still wants to move against the Wizards of your Blood Spirit School?”

”On the surface, both sides maintain restraint. But when something like a newly appointed Saintess appears, it’s inevitable that they’ll want to show off their personal strength.”

”I see,” Wei’en nodded. ”Then do you know her current location?”

”I heard she’s currently in the central Eastern Continent, near the Willis City State in the Drake Republic.” After speaking, Flanta asked cautiously, ”You’re also in the Eastern Continent. Are you worried she might head your way?”

”I have some concerns, but it doesn’t have much to do with me.” Wei’en didn’t avoid the question.

Ever since he learned that the Black Pearl’s target was Krimms Cathedral, he had been wondering what kind of trump cards the Vasquez People and Black Jack’s group had up their sleeves.

After all, for the Dawn Church to establish a foothold like the Caster City State on the West Coast, where the Storm Church’s power was at its peak, the number of Holy Professionals they stationed at Krimms Cathedral must be beyond imagination.

Wei’en still remembered the people he saw when he went to the Cathedral on a mission. There were several hundred Outer Circle Guardian Knights alone, and the number of Holy Professionals inside the cathedral was even greater.

Coupled with what Clelia had said about the insane combat strength of these Holy Professionals, even a few Director Level Extraordinaries would probably be stopped if they tried to force their way in.

”That’s good,”

Flanta let out a long breath. He had finally managed to latch onto such a powerful backer, and he didn’t want to lose this connection.

”I heard the Saintess is heading straight west. I doubt she’ll run into you.”

’Heading straight west?’

’It couldn’t be such a coincidence, could it?’

Wei’en thought to himself, if the Black Pearl were to run into a Saintess while launching its attack... well, that would be quite a show to watch.

”Mm,”

Wei’en didn’t press further, instead skillfully summoning a Nightmare Worm. ”This time, I’ve brought some Enlightenment Potions and Healing Potions. Let’s trade.”

”No problem,”

The smile on Flanta’s face couldn’t be hidden even by the distorted black shadow. ”The Magic Potions you traded me last time were all bought by a few Wizard acquaintances, and I even made a small profit in gold pounds.”

”Is that so?”

Wei’en didn’t mind Flanta acting as a middleman and making a profit.

As long as he could steadily convert the Magic Potions on hand into cash, he would have the money needed to maintain his normal life and studies.

Before long, Wei’en exited the Nightmare Realm World and completed the transaction with Flanta via the Nightmare Worm.

Looking at the money in his pocket, which was once again back up to three hundred and seventy gold pounds, he felt an indescribable sense of satisfaction. No more going back to the days of gnawing on black bread...

Hm?

’Again?!’

”Good afternoon, Mr. Wizard.”

”...Good evening, Mr. Leonard.” Wei’en’s lips twitched as he looked at Tina, who had suddenly appeared in his bedroom.

’Seriously, my happiness can’t even last for three seconds before something bad happens...’

”Judging by your expression, it seems you’re not very happy to see me?”

Tina’s eyes turned blood-red, a grotesque smile spreading across her face. Her two sharp canine teeth glinted with a cold light.

The clown doll stood beside her, its slightly frayed hand resting on her shoulder as if controlling her body.

”How could that be? I’m thrilled to see you. Absolutely thrilled.” Wei’en chuckled drily. ”I wonder, has Mr. Leonard come over tonight to play some sort of game?”

”No, no, no, not tonight.”
