Warhammer Divine Throne

”Is it really okay?” The young maid was surprised by Mr. Laine’s generosity.

”It really is.” Laine nodded repeatedly, ”As my maid, you should have a few good outfits, right? At least, if I attend a banquet and don’t have anyone available, you could accompany me.”

”By the way, we can take your measurements and tailor a few maid outfits for you. Your current maid outfit doesn’t fit well.” Amelia’s maid outfit was borrowed from Catherine, Veronica’s apprentice, who is about 1.68 meters tall, making her maid outfit not a good fit for Amelia, whose skirt hem frequently touches the ground.

Amelia hesitated for quite a while, unable to refuse. At eighteen, a girl naturally loves beauty and dressing up. She became a mercenary for survival, but she wasn’t like this before she became one.

As they walked out of the tailor shop, Amelia’s appearance was completely transformed. Her white princess long dress with ruffled shoulders paired with creamy-white princess shoes, her pink legs clad in white stockings. Her cute and delicate face was flush with red, and her pretty large eyes occasionally glanced at Laine. Due to the cold weather, the girl tightened the black mink coat around her, exhaling a breath of cold air, feeling joyful. She truly felt that the Winter Festival had arrived, the footsteps of the festival not only approached her side but also reached her heart. The rightful source is novel⚑fire.net

Until Laine’s emotionless words came through.

”Amelia, your taste in fashion, your eye for selecting clothes, and your skills in matching accessories are simply not something an ordinary mercenary could possess.” Laine’s eyes flickered with a strange light as he halted, looking directly at Amelia, ”Without years of courtly education, no girl would have this ability. You can deceive Blood Axe’s mercenaries and can deceive Veronica, but you can’t deceive me.”

Amelia’s previously flushed face instantly turned as white as snow.

He’s testing me! He’s trying to probe me using this method!!! The girl instinctively stepped back two steps, her slightly heeled princess shoes crunching on the snow. She suddenly realized she had become a bit overconfident, relaxing her guard unintentionally in the warm environment Laine had created.

This man is terrifying! Amelia instinctively reached for her waist, only to find her sword was left at home and not brought out.

Laine approached Amelia step by step, causing the girl to retreat continuously, until Laine reached out his hand towards her.

”So let’s head home! My little maid! Alfred is coming soon; we need to prepare a sumptuous turkey feast!” Laine said with a smile, indicating it was time to go home.

”Huh? Mr. Laine, you’re not... you’re not going to drive me away? You’re not going to ask who I really am?” Amelia said, incredulous, feeling both guilty and grateful for Laine’s tolerance.

”Everyone has their own secrets, things they can’t tell others. You have yours, and I have mine.” Laine shook his head self-mockingly and then turned to Amelia, ”You’re my maid, right?”

”Yes! I’m Mr. Laine’s maid!”

”Then that’s enough. Let’s go home, or we won’t have time to make the turkey feast!” Laine deliberately put on a sad expression, ”Or do you not want to be my maid anymore?”

”As long as Mr. Laine doesn’t send me away, I’ll always be your maid! Thank you, Mr. Laine!” The color returned to Amelia’s face as she loudly expressed her gratitude and followed in Laine’s footsteps.

In the heavy snowfall and cold wind, the two set off on their way home, Amelia looking at Laine’s back felt her heart warming.

The Winter Festival has truly arrived!
