Warhammer Divine Throne

PS. This chapter is 4600 words long, pretty impressive, right?

Everything is within Laine’s calculations. The Paladins are being used by Laine; their entrance into the orphanage would highly alarm Agneda. She couldn’t possibly believe that the Paladins truly did nothing and left, so instinctively, she would check if the Chaos Altar and Belte were secure.

So everything fell into place, and the darkness of the orphanage was exposed.

The Duke of Marinburg and the Sea God Archbishop stood outside the orphanage under heavy guard, watching the thick smoke billow from within. Schultz shook his head gently, his tone tinged with some fear: ”If not for Laine, we truly wouldn’t have known such a massive Chaos Sect was operating right under our noses.”

”I felt the anger of my master Manannan. He is also furious about this; he wants me to eliminate the Aesthetic Society as soon as possible.” Odrich’s face was also dark. This incident happened in Marinburg, the stronghold of the Ocean Church, and as the Sea God Archbishop, he couldn’t shirk this responsibility. However, fortunately, Manannan did not intend to make him take the blame, only instructed him to act quickly to erase this Chaos Sect from history.

”We need to find a way to suppress this matter, try to shift all the blame onto Edmond. We are all victims!” Schultz had already made arrangements; this incident needs a scapegoat. Obviously, the chosen one wouldn’t be him, having taken the initiative to eliminate the Aesthetic Society, nor Odrich. Thus, he immediately thought of the Upper Senator Earl Edmond Huron, who had always been closely associated with the Aesthetic Society and Agneda.

”I agree. Such a wastrel, obsessed with wine and women, is useless in the Upper House; this is the perfect chance to expel him from the parliament.” Odrich nodded.

In a few words, the most powerful Duke and Sea God Archbishop in the city easily decided Marinburg’s upcoming shuffle and reckoning.

This world doesn’t need those who only know art and rely solely on their lineage. They’ve been displeased with Edmond for a long time, not acting previously out of respect for his father, Old Earl Huron, and to see if the young man could reform. Since this incident disappointed them, there’s no reason to hold back.

”Here they come,” Schultz suddenly said.

”Boom! Boom! Boom!” Several loud explosions echoed, and through the collapsing dust of the orphanage, Laine and Belte’s figures emerged.

The Griffin Warhammer sparkled with lightning, while the Bloodstained War Axe was filthy and defiled, each clash between them produced earth-shattering sounds.

Several days later, Belte was stronger; the healed Fallen Hunter was even more frenzied: ”Foolish barbarian, do you think you can defeat me? What are you even?”

Laine fiercely swung down the Griffin Warhammer, the lightning spreading over it stinging Belte’s nerves: ”Something that kills you.”

”Kill me, don’t joke! Try this!” Belte drew a Fire Cannon from his waist, firing several consecutive shots at Laine, deadly mercury bullets tearing through the air towards Laine.

Yet, Laine merely extended a hand, from which a pale blue glow emanated. With the integration of the Lake Fairy’s Holy Grail engraving and his Spiritual Energy, Laine had already created a brand new skill.

Spiritual Power Static Field!

The whistling mercury bullets were all stopped by the pale blue field, frozen in mid-air. With a sweep of Laine’s large hand, five mercury bullets fell to the ground.

Belte’s frenzied mind began to calm down, the Fallen Hunter suddenly realized Laine might be even more difficult to deal with than Jacob.

Because he was unfamiliar with Laine.

But Laine gave Belte no chance to think, the White Wolf Knight lifted the warhammer, striding towards Belte, the warhammer swinging from the lower right towards the Fallen Hunter’s ribs fiercely.

”Clang!” The axe and hammer met, the inhuman strength on the warhammer forcing Belte to retreat continuously. The Fallen Hunter gritted his teeth, quickly rolling backward to escape.

Only then did the two combatants clearly see each other’s faces.

Belte was hardly human anymore.

His face was covered with fleshy lumps and nodules, every detail of his body adorned with iron spikes and rings, his head starting to deform, and his once slim silhouette had become increasingly bloated, all from the muscle growth.

In Belte’s eyes, the knight before him had an impressive appearance, standing about 1.85 meters tall, with black hair and blue eyes; he hardly looked like someone from Nord. He wore a chest armor paired with chain armor covering his entire body, and on his shoulder guards, a red and white checkered Kite Shield depicted a sharp sword piercing a book, the book marked with a silver skull emblem.

”Belte, I’ve chased you for thousands of miles, and finally, today, I see your face, but it seems it doesn’t quite match the portrait?” Laine said indifferently, ”If I knew chasing for thousands of miles would lead me to someone like you, maybe I wouldn’t have taken on this task.”

”Hah~ Well, isn’t this Laine, the renowned White Wolf Knight of Nord Kingdom, ’the little bastard’? Your biological father must be a huge bastard; otherwise, why would he abandon you, the little bastard?” Belte retorted sarcastically: ”And I hear you’ve changed your master? How’s it feel serving as a little manservant under the Lake Jade Pool’s skirt, huh?”

”Hahahaha~ Just as you’ve turned from the Master of Plagues to the Blood God, everyone has the right to choose. As for my biological father, you might never get the chance to meet him.” Laine laughed even more happily, but his gaze grew increasingly dangerous.
