Warhammer Divine Throne

The president of the Aesthetic Society was dumbfounded. She truly couldn’t understand why the Truth-telling Technique, which had always been effective, was not working on Laine, and had even turned into this?

Agneda could only arrive at one conclusion, which was that Laine had a deep connection with the Lake Fairy, who also came from another world, and the Lake Fairy was willing to pay a huge price to protect his past.

Finally, looking at the village reduced to ashes, the president of the Aesthetic Society suddenly felt the process to be very pleasant and artistic. She stuck out her tongue and said disdainfully, ”Serves them right.”

After speaking, she gestured to the coachman who was also stupefied: ”Let’s go, we’re heading back.”

Traversing the endless gigantic storm of Eternal Subspace and the infinite void of the universe, the material universe, and humanity’s home planet, Holy Terra.

The supreme great being was originally busy digesting the pure Cosmic Energy left behind by the Ancient Saint, but a fleeting inquiry awoke his consciousness.

”Laine?”

”My beloved son, Laine is in danger! Someone is attempting to explore his past through Evil Magic.”

”... Laine is the most precious and critical component of my plan to reverse corruption, he absolutely must not be harmed.”

”... He needs the help of the Imperial Guard Ten Thousand Man Corps!”

......

Marinburg, Amber Avenue 53, in the reception room on the first floor.

Veronica paced back and forth with a headache, the sound of her high heels constantly echoing: ”Vice-President Jacob died in battle, and yet we’re wandering around aimlessly, wasting so much time, causing such a big mess. How am I going to explain this to Councilor Sofia and Mentor Margarita?”

”At least we didn’t come away empty-handed.” Laine sat upright in a chair.

Their investigation was not without results. From the tailor shop owner and staff, they learned that the Aesthetic Society routinely held art salons, which were closed and internal art salons, accepting only members and great artists to participate.

”Is investigating the Aesthetic Society still useful? Belte’s traces are underground!” Veronica said irritably.

”You’re wrong, Veronica! If I were Belte, I definitely wouldn’t still be hiding underground at this moment,” Laine said softly, deeply pained by the death of the Demon Hunting Master. ”Don’t forget, the three-thousand-strong Underground Expeditionary Army has already set out, and if Belte has any sense, hiding underground would be suicide.”

Veronica nodded; followers of the Blood God have never been adept at concealment and escape.

”And on the surface, in the current city-wide alert situation, only one organization has the capability to provide him shelter, and that’s the Aesthetic Society!” Laine slammed the cup onto the table heavily: ”So everything comes back to the Aesthetic Society.”

”... Mr. Laine, Miss Veronica, I’m ready.” At this moment, Amelia appeared.

The girl had changed into a standard maid outfit—white apron decorated with frills, a plain-colored long dress with a white collar, and black short leather boots.

A normal maid outfit, completely unlike what some might imagine as a scantily-clad temptation. Apart from the bow at the collar, Amelia had no special decorations, with her entire body wrapped up tightly like a nun, wearing a white headscarf with her golden hair tied up.

”Mr. Laine, shall we begin?” With her maid outfit prepared, Amelia also revealed her true appearance.

Amelia’s true appearance was very beautiful; her looks were unlike the witches and sorcerers of Jialan who emphasized a stunning charm. The girl’s temperament was more like a mountain spring, with a pair of clear water-blue large eyes, a pretty oval face, milky-white skin, serene and delicate. Beauty and strength combined perfectly on the girl’s body.

The first glance doesn’t leave an overwhelming impression but instead gives a sense of comfort—sweet and refreshing.

”Let us begin!” Laine nodded.

So Amelia produced a large number of tools and various paints and began to disguise Laine.

”Hmm~ Laine, who is so handsome, actually needs to disguise himself as an artist to attend an art salon? My Great Knight, are you sure you understand art?” Veronica was keenly interested as she watched Amelia apply makeup. Under the girl’s small hands, Laine’s face gradually transformed from the standard handsome appearance of an Aachen man to that of a manly Southern Realm person.

”Yes, I am playing the role of an artist from the Southern Realm, the Liguria Kingdom,” Laine said, only humming through his nose so as not to hinder Amelia’s movements. ”Although I don’t understand art, I am well-versed in the dark♂ arts of the Pleasure Sect. I believe I’ll easily infiltrate that kind of art salon.”

Both Veronica and Amelia heard the underlying implication in the man’s words, the little maid’s cheeks turned red, and her hands didn’t stop moving, while only Veronica said mockingly, ”Oh, this I do believe, after all...”

At this point, the witch’s cheeks turned even redder, she turned away without speaking further, leaving Catherine curiously watching her mentor, somewhat puzzled and unaware.

”Speaking of which, Amelia, did you see my surname on my scabbard?” Laine shifted the topic to Amelia.

”Mm~ Mr. Laine always carries that sword on his back, your full name is written on the scabbard,” Amelia said softly. ”And the story of the special Knight Corps’ founding is inscribed there. Since you did this, Mr. Laine, I figured you had no intention of hiding it, so I secretly read it during the journey. Um... Mr. Laine, you wouldn’t mind, would you?”
