Warhammer Divine Throne

PS. Two updates today! Asking for all kinds of votes!

PS2. Many people say the protagonist is weak, that even a new Space Marine can defeat him, that’s thinking too much. Truly comparing strength, the Middle Ages certainly can’t match 40K, but the Middle Ages aren’t much weaker. In terms of magic and many other aspects, the Middle Ages are not inferior to 40K. Powerful Middle Ages heroes can also resist Chaos Great Demons. How many warlords in 40K can fight Chaos Great Demons, right?

The headquarters of the Aesthetic Society has been shut down.

Countless artists wept for this, wave after wave of people complained and petitioned, but Schultz was unmoved, especially after proving that the Aesthetic Society was a Chaos Sect. This Grand Duke could not relent on this matter.

The Upper House held emergency consultations, and no one was willing to take the blame or stand up for the Aesthetic Society.

This organization, which had prospered in Marinburg for decades, thus became history. Edmond Huron of the Upper House became the only scapegoat. When the Imperial envoys came to demand responsibility, they learned that this Count colluded with the Aesthetic Society, harbored Fallen Hunters, and murdered the vice-president of the Demon Hunter Guild. Many pieces of evidence proved this fact. As a punishment, Earl Huron was stripped of his member of parliament status in the Upper House. Merchants and nobles in the Lower House scrambled for the vacant position, but this matter no longer concerned Laine.

The Sea God Church officially announced the details of eliminating the Aesthetic Society. The story of Laine and Veronica jointly defeating the Champion of Khorne, Life Taker, spread across the Continent, and the name of Laine resounded once again across the Continent.

Then, there was another grand banquet.

The clinking of glasses and a gathering of distinguished guests, the city hall of Marinburg was bustling as ever today.

The focus of the banquet was naturally Laine. Nobles, merchants, and celebrities from all walks of life congratulated Laine, and he responded to each one. He was filled with liquor when the festival ended, and the Duke of Marinburg gently handed a small bag to Laine: ”This is what you deserve.”

”Thank you~” Laine opened the bag and couldn’t help but smile. Inside were entirely Gold Coins of the Deities, at least a hundred.

This money was almost as much as some Little Prince-Electors’ annual income, truly a windfall.

In comparison, the Justice Church’s reward of three hundred gold coins was negligible.

”If you weren’t so determined to get that painting, you could have gotten more.” Schultz joked with Laine, as they stood on a small balcony in a corner of the banquet hall.

”That painting is what the Lady wants, I am supposed to do something for her.” Laine spread his hands, indicating that it was his boss’s request.

”The Lady of the Lake? Hmm, although Your Majesty personally enlightened me, I still don’t agree she’s a so-called god. She might be powerful, but that’s it.” Schultz took a sip of wine. With the privilege of being enlightened by the Emperor, one can imagine his strength.

The arrival of the Duke of Marinburg and Laine was almost simultaneous, indicating he was also part of the Emperor’s plan.

Laine shrugged; he was indifferent to the question. He is now the Divine Chosen of the Lake Fairy, taking the benefits she offered and working for her. It was a transaction; the Lake Fairy’s reward was the highest and best for him. Under these circumstances, he was willing to serve the Lake Fairy.

Laine and other Genetic Primarchs are fundamentally different.

The Emperor, the great Master of Humans, has twenty sons, plus Laine, totaling twenty-one.

But none of the sons was born naturally. How the Genetic Primarchs were made has been lost in history, but they were all created using the Emperor’s genes combined with subspace technology and high-tech, naturally undergoing a dozen genetic modifications and enhancements.

However, Laine wasn’t. In the process of crossing worlds, Laine’s body was shattered, and the Emperor used his Supreme Power to help him rebuild his flesh. In the process, Laine almost reverted to infancy. He never underwent genetic modification surgery, nor was enhanced by subspace power. In this sense, his growth rate was slower, and his brothers had better innate conditions than him.

Yet, the Emperor clearly preferred Laine. He referred to all the other Genetic Primarchs besides Laine with a cold phrase: ”A group of spoiled children.”

Because Laine is the purest; he is human, without any other admixture.

”A father is a father. He’s not some god; he’s just my father.” Laine looked at the cold night sky and said softly.

”Yes, to you, he’s your father, but to us, he’s a god, or even greater than a deity.” Schultz was indifferent to this topic, clearly unaffected by the emperor’s inspiration. He was not conflicted about many questions: ”If you need anything, just come to me. That’s what I’m here for.”

”Okay!”

As usual, when the banquet reached its midway point, Laine left with Veronica.

As soon as the two of them got into the carriage, Veronica cuddled into his arms, holding him tightly.

”What’s wrong?” Laine noticed Veronica’s emotions were somewhat unusual.

”The councilor sent a recall order.” Veronica lay against the man’s chest, her voice both angry and anxious: ”I’m to be recalled immediately! It’s an emergency recall.”
