The Wealthy Tycoon's Game of Life

Chapter 1730: Chapter 706: Farewell Parlor_2

After staring blankly for a moment, Jiang Qingkui, who had a strong sense of career ambition, took a deep breath, returned to her desk, and prepared to start handling the day’s business.

Seeing the ticket wrapped in note paper, Jiang Qingkui was about to put it in the drawer when she suddenly froze.

”The first concert... the first...”

Jiang Qingkui muttered a few words to herself, and her eyes suddenly lit up.

As one of the first women to know Zhou Wang, Jiang Qingkui could naturally sense the special place Jiang Mo held in Zhou Wang’s heart.

She hurriedly picked up the ticket and confirmed the time and place on it.

”December 31st, National Grand Theater.”

Just right, it’s also a New Year’s Eve...

Jiang Qingkui picked up the landline on the desk.

”Yueyue, help me book a ticket to Beidou for December 31st... hmm, cancel all other appointments for that day...”

...

Min Province is named for the Min River within its borders and was historically inhabited by the Min Yue Clan.

There is also a Ming City here, but unlike the Ming City in Yunan Province, it is nationally famous; the well-known Shaxian snacks, comparable to KFC, originated from this Ming City.

On that night when Zhou Wang was in Hang City, he opened a map, his gaze sweeping over the famous cities in this province, and after weighing his options, he chose Qin Island as the starting point for his entrepreneurship.

In fact, as a major coastal economic province, many cities in Min Province have a relatively suitable environment for entrepreneurship. Originally, Zhou Wang intended to choose Rongcheng, the provincial capital of Min Province.

But considering that it was, after all, the provincial capital, some of the procedures and policy restrictions might be relatively stringent, so Zhou Wang ultimately chose Qin Island.

As a renowned ”sea park” and an economic special zone and planned separate municipality, the business environment here is naturally extraordinary.

More importantly, the people here are more forward-thinking and open in some of their mindsets. Zhou Wang was confident that as long as he could establish a reputation in the early stages, relying even on the ”familiarity economy,” his business could rapidly grow.

...A part of his motivation was personal; after all, he was going to stay here for a considerable time. Living in a tourist city with picturesque coastal scenery would always put him in a good mood.

On December 29th, a fairly sunny day, it was the transitional period between autumn and winter for Qin Island, so it didn’t feel cold; instead, it had tones of cool comfort.

Located at the boundary between the modern city area and the old city in Qin Island, a small shop with a white theme quietly opened on this day.

There were no congratulatory flower baskets, and even some weathered traces were deliberately left at the entrance... just to give passersby a certain feeling.

Oh, when did a shop open here? It must have been open for a while; how come I haven’t noticed it before?

The name of this shop is bewildering at first glance, called: ”Wanghai Farewell Society.”

But as soon as one sees the various pet avatars embossed on the shop sign, they immediately realize... oh, this is a shop specializing in ”pet funerals and end-of-life care.”

Yes, pet funerals.

This is the industry Zhou Wang chose after careful consideration.

With only a capital of a hundred thousand, and needing it to grow to at least ten million in just over 100 days, in fact, with Zhou Wang’s current connections and vision, there were no shortages of other options.

For instance, the recently emerging AI industry or some online virtual investments, but the system clearly restricted him to the tangible sector.

This left Zhou Wang with very few choices.

The tangible sector had to be a high-margin industry, and it had to be something Zhou Wang was relatively familiar with and could quickly get up to speed on without wasting time, leaving ”pet funerals” as the most suitable choice.

As a new tangible sector emphasizing emotional value, it’s undoubtedly lucrative. From Zhou Wang’s past experiences, its basic service gross margin is at least 50%, and the gross margin on memorabilia can reach over 70%, with the highest expanding to 300% depending on demand.

What does 300% mean?

In general tangible industries, such as cosmetic surgery and dental services, which primarily rely on service and technical markups, are considered high-margin industries, but they generally don’t exceed 60%.

If it reaches three times, it is not much different from legal robbery.

The location of this store was also carefully chosen by Zhou Wang. It resides at the juncture between the old and new city areas, with several upscale communities within a three-kilometer radius, but it is also a sufficient distance away from residential buildings to avoid potential complaints from people who might shy away from it.

At the same time, it’s a must-pass point for certain Citywalk routes recommended by many bloggers on Qin Island, but not among the official popular tourist spots, which helps Zhou Wang effectively control the cost of rent.

Even so, at this moment, Zhou Wang looked at his phone, noting a balance of less than twenty thousand and still fell into contemplation.

”Fortunately, the rent sister is beautiful and kind, reluctantly agreeing to one-month deposit and monthly payment, but damn, the nearly three thousand in rent is still a bit excessive...”

”The cost of storefront renovation and decoration can’t be skimped on, but fortunately, Young Master Zhang introduced trusted acquaintances. Not only high efficiency and good quality, but they also wouldn’t rush me for payment, and even if I settle it a month or two later, it shouldn’t be a problem...”

”The crematorium is contacted too; thanks to Xiao Qi’s mother, her ex-husband is a local here.”

”Yes, the route for sea burials and ash scatterings is also sorted out, thanks to Young Master Qiu. With just this point, I am far ahead of my competitors; they wouldn’t dare to casually offer the ’sea burial’ option, which at the start would greatly assist me.”

”Additionally, various shop supplies and some prototype memorabilia cost me a few thousand, but this is minor; instead, launching a WhatsApp mini-program cost ten thousand, although helped by family members from the Wangzhou Travel Department, but I couldn’t expect them to work for free, and the deeply discounted pricing is already very good...”

At this moment, Zhou Wang, wearing sunglasses and sitting at the entrance, concluded his silent musings and nodded slightly.

At first glance at the ”fourth operational round” requirements, Zhou Wang instinctively thought it was an impossible task, especially after the system banned the shop and his original personal assets.

But now it seems, he still stands on a high starting ground, and the system’s requirements weren’t that excessive.

The most crucial point is that the connections he accumulated before still exist.

For a regular individual starting a business, how could they possibly complete a series of tasks like site selection, registration, decoration, and procurement in a prominent, unfamiliar second-tier city within a mere five or six days, as well as complete all business registration processes and connect with all service channels?

In a way, this itself is a kind of cheat.

Zhou Wang couldn’t hope for more.

”Brother, do you have any extra flyers?”

At this moment, a silvery voice came from the entrance. Zhou Wang, who was checking the workbench, looked up to see Linlin, her ponytail bouncing as she walked in.

A tiny bit of sweat beaded on her smooth forehead, radiating a kind of energetic, unpretentious beauty, like a fresh mountain breeze, and a gentle scent belonging solely to a young girl wafted in as she ran in.

”Didn’t I give you a big stack? You’ve already handed them all out?”

Zhou Wang asked in surprise.

Originally, Zhou Wang didn’t plan to bring anyone with him to Qin Island aside from Gao Xing and Qu Peining, but when Pinghe School gave a short holiday from Christmas to New Year, Linlin and her mother, Sister Xiao Yu, maybe worried about Zhou Wang, insisted on following him. Zhou Wang thought it through; after all, he needed help with the newly opened store entrance, so he brought them along.

”Yeah, I feel like the people here are quite enthusiastic; some even actively asked for flyers...”

Linlin said with a bit of pride.

Zhou Wang chuckled, thinking they were engaging with her on purpose because she was pretty, trying to strike up a conversation.

But that’s how it is with beautiful people, no matter the industry, they have an advantage, even when distributing flyers...
