The Wealthy Tycoon's Game of Life

Chapter 1728: Chapter 705: No Match for a Night of Drinks (Part 2)

He raised his hand and knocked on the door with a ”thump thump.”

The door opened quickly, revealing a head with slightly messy hair from inside. It was clear that the person either hadn’t slept well or hadn’t slept much at all, with noticeable dark circles under clean, bare skin—

What surprised Zhou Wang slightly was that although this girl had changed her clothes and removed her makeup, she didn’t look much different from her original appearance. Her features still retained a pure and vibrant charm. Zhou Wang could recognize her at a glance, which spoke of her natural beauty.

”Huang Ying?”

”Mr. Zhou, you... you still remember me?”

The girl, who quickly opened the door, was clearly a bit surprised. Upon seeing two other girls scrutinizing her from behind Zhou Wang, she cautiously took a step back.

Zhou Wang gestured for Li Nuoyi and Bai Feifei to wait in the hallway first. He then walked into the room, glancing at the bed to see that the bedding was neatly arranged. He couldn’t help but be surprised and asked, ”You didn’t sleep last night?”

”I was afraid you might need me suddenly, so I didn’t sleep much... But I did doze off on the sofa for a bit.”

Huang Ying quickly explained.

”Why would I need you?”

Zhou Wang asked with a smirk.

Huang Ying’s pretty face flushed immediately, and she stammered, ”When we left the bar, you didn’t let go of me. Young Master Zhang said... said I should follow you so I could take care of you at night...”

Huang Ying explained haltingly, but Zhou Wang instantly understood, feeling a bit awkward too.

Even though he couldn’t remember much, just hearing Huang Ying’s words reminded Zhou Wang that, at the bar, he indeed did hold her while dancing...

Alcohol is the tinder of desire, Zhou Wang wasn’t sure if he had done more, but either way, it sounded like her being here was mostly because of him.

Clack!

Zhou Wang closed the door behind him. Under the slightly nervous gaze of Huang Ying, he walked past her and sat down on the bed, lighting a cigarette for himself.

Then Zhou Wang seriously looked at the girl in front of him.

Even without makeup, her skin was incredibly fair with an ivory glow. Her lips were a natural sakura pink, her nose was high and delicate, and her large amber eyes had a small, light brown tear mole at the outer corner of the right eye.

She was at the age of budding, naturally exuding a sensuality amidst purity and innocence.

Last night, Zhou Wang had personally gauged her astonishingly long legs while she was dressed as a bunny girl. At this moment, she was only wearing slippers, but Zhou Wang estimated her to be at least 176 or even 177 centimeters tall.

”Do you do ballet or modern dance?”

”Ballet...”

Huang Ying softly answered, as Zhou Wang had expected.

With such height advantage, not doing ballet would indeed be a waste.

Several minutes passed in silence from Zhou Wang, increasing Huang Ying’s discomfort. Her cheeks flushed red, and her head gradually lowered, not daring to meet Zhou Wang’s gaze.

”How many boyfriends have you had?”

”Uh, just one after high school graduation, but we broke up in freshman year.”

”How intimate did you get?”

”Hmm?”

Huang Ying lifted her head in confusion.

”As in, how far did you go with him?”

”Um...”

Huang Ying’s face turned red instantly, but she still answered softly, ”We didn’t... Well, there was once, but it was almost...”

”What do you mean?”

This time, Zhou Wang was puzzled.

”He, he, um...”

Huang Ying stammered for a long time without getting to the point, until under Zhou Wang’s persistent questioning she finally pieced together what she wanted to convey.

”He, um, you know, finished before, um, you know?”

”Yeah.”

Huang Ying nodded slightly, her face as red as a burning coal.

Zhou Wang found it amusing and frustrating.

But it made sense; teenage boys get nervous easily. Everyone has their awkward moments, right?

”So, you are still...”

When Huang Ying nodded again, Zhou Wang hesitated a bit.

Young Master Zhang sure had good taste. For such a tall, leggy beauty to still be, well, untouched was rare. But given that she’s only 19, it’s not entirely impossible.

Zhou Wang then fell silent for a moment before asking a question:

”Do you know what could have happened last night if I hadn’t been drunk and you followed me?”

”Yes, I do.”

By this time, Huang Ying’s face wasn’t as red. She bit her lip and answered softly.

”Do you know that even if something had happened, I wouldn’t date you?”

”...I do.”

Huang Ying nodded again, ”Actually, Mr. Zhou, I’m not as naive as you think. Many girls at our school... When Young Master Zhang contacted me yesterday, I was already mentally prepared.”

”Why?”

Zhou Wang was genuinely curious, ”With your looks, it shouldn’t be hard to find a suitable match, right?”

”Because I’m too tired, really too tired. And in our field, the competition is overwhelmingly fierce. I have no confidence in my future at all... And I want money, a lot of money. I want to live the life I desire, without being beholden to anyone.”

Huang Ying spoke the most real and bleak words in the most innocent and dreamy tone.

Zhou Wang looked at her still pure face, momentarily at a loss for words.

He might have wanted to say something encouraging, but recalling he was no saint himself, he decided against it.

”I can only tell you that everything you consider a gift actually has a price secretly set by fate.”

Zhou Wang got up and, before leaving the room, left a business card, ”I suggest you try your best on your own for now. Call me once you’ve truly thought it through someday.”

After saying this, Zhou Wang left. Huang Ying picked up the business card from the bed, her delicate fingers gently traced the rose-gold card surface, recalling the scene last night when Young Master Zhang settled the bill at the bar.

”After a 6.8% discount and rounding off, it’s a total of 1.2 million, here are all the details, Mr. Zhang, would you like to check it...”

Back then, Young Master Zhang waved his hand, not even glancing at the bill, and paid promptly.

Shao Xiaoqi and the others were all laughing and talking around, not thinking much of it. Someone even said, ”Only 1.2 million, cheaper than I expected.”

1.2 million RMB, in her hometown in that Northeast county, would be enough to buy two 100-square-meter school zone apartments in a prime location.

At that time, Huang Ying dug her nails into her palm, recalling how her mentor had once proudly told her:

”If one day you can join a top theater like the Royal Ballet of Britain, your annual income could reach at least one million RMB.”

Top theater, annual salary of one million... Over 10 hours of daily training+rehearsal+performance for over 300 days, for a million yuan of income.

And that’s assuming no injuries, maintaining constant effort and diligence.

”In the end... it doesn’t even match a night out drinking.”

The girl murmured to herself humorously.

...

”Hello, it’s me. I was drunk last night, just saw your message now.”

Buzz buzz!

On the morning street of the Magic City, Zhou Wang, having activated his ”one-handed Ferrari driving skill,” returned Jiang Mubai’s call.

On the other end, Jiang Mubai probed cautiously with a few words, but Zhou Wang roughly understood her meaning.

”It shouldn’t be a big deal. Have Yuyu send her info to my phone, I’ll ask Second Brother Zhang later... Uh-huh, no need to thank me... Haha, really thanking me with just a phone call has no sincerity... Uh, I didn’t mean to ask you to bring Yuyu along, you misunderstood.”

Zhou Wang seriously corrected Jiang Mubai.

Indeed, the two girls last night were quite diligent, making the whole night energetic, so as Jiang Mubai had guessed, Zhou Wang wouldn’t hesitate to offer some sweetness as a reward.

”What, she has a boyfriend? That’s just... ridiculous, what nonsense, do I look like that kind of person?”

Zhou Wang abruptly raised his voice, speaking angrily.
