The Wealthy Tycoon's Game of Life

Chapter 1721: Chapter 702: Lafin

”Whoa, where did you get it from?”

Zhou Wang scrutinized the LaFerrari before him, unable to hide his excitement, and quickly walked up to gently stroke the car’s body.

Its front features the classic prancing horse shield grille, but the design is extremely streamlined. The slender LED headlights look sharp, blending seamlessly with the silver-gray car shell, accentuating its coolness.

The silver-gray paint, at first glance, seems quite ordinary. But under the streetlights nearby, as the light shifts, it transitions from the icy liquid metal silver to a gentle pearl gray, reflecting a slight blue from the sky, making the car body itself appear like a dynamic stage of light and shadow.

This peak creation of Ferrari is a perfect blend of supercar aesthetics and cutting-edge engineering. At close inspection, no flaw can be found; every inch of detail and craftsmanship left Zhou Wang in awe.

In today’s era, the LaFerrari’s several tens of millions of price tag is not at its peak anymore. But when it was first revealed at the Geneva Motor Show in ’13, it astounded countless onlookers. It is precisely due to the existence of LaFerrari that the saying ”The Three Gods of Cars” has been passed down for years.

Though purely from the price point, supercars like Bugatti still surpass it, sometimes reaching into the billions. Yet, LaFerrari represents a peak achieved through technological benchmarks, brand halo, and absolute rarity, making its status something not easily defined by mere price.

”We did search for quite a long time.”

Young Master Zhang and Tang Yiming exchanged glances and smiled as they explained, ”You remember, right? Back when I was in Ming City, I kept wanting to find a LaFerrari or a 918 to up the ante.”

Zhou Wang nodded. Young Master Zhang was speaking of the time he was managing the No. 77 Super Car Club’s Ming City branch. For someone aiming to build a top-tier supercar club, not having one of the Three Gods of Cars is indeed a bit lacking.

”Back then, I couldn’t find one, so I had to rely on your 812C for show. Later on, because I got busy with the Miao Village development, I didn’t really manage the club, and gradually forgot about it. But Guo Bing kept it in mind, and with his wide connections in Magic City, he actually found a seller last month...”

Young Master Zhang shrugged, ”But now I’m all about business and don’t want to spend that much money on cars anymore. However, the brothers felt it would be a shame to miss this opportunity, because you know, this car is truly hard to find.”

Zhou Wang naturally felt the deepest about this, holding the system’s complimentary privilege, occasionally keeping an eye out, but over half a year passed without collecting all Three Gods of Cars.

After all, they are all collectible-grade supercars, and those who buy such cars generally aren’t short of money, only rare leaks depend on the car’s condition—

For supercars, mileage has an essential difference from ordinary cars in terms of value impact; for ordinary cars, low mileage is a plus. For supercars, ultra-low mileage is ”necessary,” while slightly higher mileage is a ”fatal flaw.”

Generally, only the supercar with ”showcase mileage,” i.e., within hundreds to a thousand kilometers, is worth re-purchasing. Once it exceeds five thousand kilometers, the car’s value drops sharply.

”In the end, the brothers agreed it was most fitting for you to buy it.”

Tang Yiming smilingly chimed in.

”Then Xiao Qi suggested, since your birthday is coming up, why don’t we all contribute a bit and directly buy it for you as a birthday gift. Everyone thought it was a great idea, and that’s how you see it now, Uncle.”

Guo Bing chuckled as he opened LaFerrari’s scissor doors, pointing to the driver’s seat, ”We even adjusted the seat according to your height in advance, so you can get in and drive right away.”

”How much did it all cost?”

Zhou Wang wasn’t in a rush to experience the new car, he just asked.

”Gee, Brother Dog, it doesn’t mean much to ask this...”

”Exactly how much?”

Zhou Wang furrowed his brows, ”If you don’t tell me, I won’t take this gift.”

”Due to an introduction by an acquaintance, Guo Bing borrowed some of the elder’s connections, and the final price was 48.88 million.”

Young Master Zhang shrugged and replied, ”The seven of us each contributed some parts, ranging from less to more. Those who paid more like me, Guo Bing, and Xiao Qi, each gave about eight or nine million, but even the least from Yiquan gave around three million...”

”Oh, you guys.”

Zhou Wang raised his eyebrows, showing a somewhat helpless expression.

Being number one among the Three Gods of Cars, LaFerrari’s price is naturally extraordinary.

Back then, its post-tax entry price to the country was at least 22.5 million RMB, while the secondary market transaction price often doubled.

So, as Zhou Wang expected, Young Master Zhang and the others spent roughly 50 million buying it.

In fact, this price is already relatively cheap concerning LaFerrari’s average market price...

But the problem is, nearly fifty million!

This is definitely, without a doubt, the most expensive birthday gift Zhou Wang has ever received in his lifetime.

Even though the seven before him are second-generation rich, there’s still a comparison in their family background. Zhou Yiquan and Old Ruan are relatively less well off, and pulling out millions isn’t a small amount for them, most likely involved talking to their families...

This placed great pressure on Zhou Wang.

”Brother Dog, really, don’t feel any psychological burden.”

Old Ruan might have guessed what Zhou Wang was thinking and took the initiative to say with a smile, ”If it weren’t for your introduction, we wouldn’t have reached a deal with Daxia Film and Television. Just from this, our profits this year increased by at least 30%, not to mention that this allowed us to expand our business to Hengdian... So this money, my elder gladly paid.”
