The Wealthy Tycoon's Game of Life

Chapter 1444: Chapter 566: The Great Wisdom of Little People (Part 2)

Life doesn’t have a result, only a process.

Qu Peining mulled over Zhou Wang’s words carefully, seemingly touched.

However, before she could respond, Zhou Wang already took her delicate and smooth hand and walked forward.

At this moment, Qu Peining’s attention was focused on their intertwined hands. They had done even more intimate actions, but Qu Peining still blushed. Fortunately, the lighting was dim, so it wasn’t too noticeable.

Her first kiss was gone, and now her first time holding hands was gone too.

Qu Peining thought absentmindedly.

She clearly wasn’t like this in terms of personality, but somehow she was having these sentimental thoughts.

Amidst the confusion, the noise around them seemed less important. By the time Qu Peining came back to her senses, they had already walked around the entire bar.

”So, how is it, brother? The atmosphere here isn’t bad, right... and it’s Friday today, so there are extra people.”

Xiao Bo loudly sought Zhou Wang’s opinion, with a hopeful look in his eyes.

”But it seems like there are no seats at the open tables, and the booth seats must be expensive, right?”

Zhou Wang intentionally smiled, wanting to see how this young man would handle it.

”Don’t worry, brother, I’ll try my best to arrange a spot for you. If there’s really none available, there are still two booths open. I’ll negotiate and make sure you can sit down with the minimum spending... Brother, is that okay with you?”

Xiao Bo asked cautiously.

”Since you put it that way, let’s go for the booth seats then.”

Zhou Wang nodded at that moment.

”Okay, brother, this way please!”

Xiao Bo perked up and immediately led the two of them to the back of the DJ booth.

Zhou Wang glanced around. Indeed, two booth seats were still available, but just as he expected, they were the booths with the best view and privacy in the entire bar, colloquially known as the ”King Card.”

Officially, the minimum spending for these booths was the same as others, but there was an implicit threshold. Those who could sit here wouldn’t just spend the bare minimum.

People love to ”save face.” Under the bar’s marketing praise, since they’ve taken the throne, if not a Divine Dragon Set, at least a full bottle of golden Armand de Brignac, right?

Spending tens of thousands in a blink...

”Brother, why don’t you take a look at what you’d like to drink first?”

”What’s the minimum spending for this booth?”

Zhou Wang didn’t look at the menu, just asked casually.

”Usually just over a thousand, but since it’s the weekend, it’s close to five thousand...”

”Five thousand seems a bit pricey, and I just want to drink beer, what should I do?”

”Well...”

Xiao Bo initially appeared troubled, then gritted his teeth, ”Alright, no problem, brother, hold on a moment, I’ll arrange it for you!”

Seeing Xiao Bo get up to negotiate with the marketing manager waiting near them, Zhou Wang was indeed a bit surprised this time.

How long has this guy gone without booking a table?

He was so eager to attract a ”walk-in” customer like him?

Who knows what Xiao Bo discussed with the manager, but after several minutes, Xiao Bo returned and said to Zhou Wang:

”Brother, you just need to order a few beers. A bottle of spirits will also be served later, but that bottle is on me, hoping you’ll have a great time tonight!”

”You bought a bottle of spirits yourself?”

Zhou Wang was even more surprised.

Evidently, the marketing manager might offer Xiao Bo some convenience but would certainly not break the rules for him, meaning any shortfall in the booth’s minimum spending was covered out of Xiao Bo’s pocket.

Zhou Wang began to be a bit puzzled as to why the other party would make such a big sacrifice.

But for whatever reason, Zhou Wang was genuinely a bit touched by this young man with the bleached hair.

”Well brother, I won’t disturb you anymore. Call me if you need anything, the drinks will come soon, and I’ll also give you a fruit platter...”

”Hold on.”

Seeing Xiao Bo about to leave after taking his WeChat, Zhou Wang stopped him.

”Brother, is there anything else?”

Xiao Bo sat back down again.

Zhou Wang first pulled out a special Harbin cigarette, gave one to Xiao Bo, waited for him to light it for him, then asked with a half-smile:

”Tell me honestly, how much did that bottle of spirits you got me cost you?”

”Not much... The manager gave me a discount, just a little over two thousand.”

”And how much is your monthly income?”

”Last month was only seven hundred...”

Xiao Bo opened his mouth, met Zhou Wang’s deep gaze, and eventually chose to tell the truth.

”So you basically used three months’ income to buy me one bottle of liquor?”

Zhou Wang asked incredulously, ”Even if I order one or two thousand’s worth of beer, you’d still be at a huge loss tonight, why do it?”

”Brother, I haven’t booked a table for almost a week, tonight I’m not aiming to earn, just hoping to make a good impression with you, so you’ll find me when you need something next time, not just for BSK but also places like 33 Club or Xiang Live, I can help book a table there as well...”

”Planning for a long-term investment?”

Zhou Wang said, laughing, ”You don’t know me that well, what makes you think I would become a repeat customer of yours?”

”Because...”

Xiao Bo hesitated for a moment, eventually scratched his head and embarrassingly said, ”Because I saw you arriving in a Rolls-Royce...”

”?”

Zhou Wang was momentarily taken aback, ”You saw me getting out of the car?”

”Yes, I was on the street making a phone call and saw you getting out of that Rolls-Royce with a bodyguard following... So I thought, brother, you must be someone important, and maybe I’d land a big client.”

Xiao Bo honestly revealed his thought process.

Zhou Wang found it both funny and exasperating.

Now he finally understood why this young man was so willing to invest heavily, likely paying for the liquor through installment plans...

Nonetheless, Zhou Wang found it hard not to admire the young man a little.

Although it was because of the sight of his vehicle that led to the subsequent gestures, the guy’s efforts were indeed genuine.

And he spent his own money to buy Zhou Wang a bottle of spirits, without any guarantee of receiving greater returns from Zhou Wang.

He did put his heart into it.

Amused yet impressed, Zhou Wang decided it was time to... reciprocate.

”You said that bottle cost you two thousand, right?”

”Yes, brother, if you don’t believe me, I can...”

”No need.”

Zhou Wang waved his hand, thought for a moment, then said, ”This is what we’ll do, make it one hundred. Multiply one thousand by one hundred times, and bring me that amount in drinks.”

”One thousand... multiplied by one hundred times?”

Xiao Bo’s brain briefly froze.

He promptly pulled out his phone, used the calculator, counted the zeros, and then asked with a trembling voice, ”Brother, you mean... you want to spend two hundred thousand on drinks?”

”Yeah, that’s right, two hundred thousand.”

Zhou Wang waved his hand, ”I won’t look at the drinks menu, just arrange it according to this standard.”

”Okay, alright... Brother, please hold on, I’ll arrange it right away!”

Xiao Bo, fumbling over his words, quickly got up and left, almost tripping in his haste.

Zhou Wang could understand his excitement.

While the bar’s marketers might not earn much in base salary, their commission rates are genuinely high.

Generally speaking, the lowest is over ten percent, and the higher the spending, the higher this rate.

For BSK, a bar tab over fifty thousand could mean a 30% commission for the marketer.

With just a few words from Zhou Wang, Xiao Bo could earn over fifty thousand tonight.

That’s tens of times his total income from the past three months.

Who wouldn’t find it hard to stay calm?

At this point, Zhou Wang finally found time to turn his attention to Qu Peining’s situation.

Currently, Qu Peining was curiously turning her head, silently observing the vibrant surroundings.

It was clear after getting over the initial discomfort and now sitting in a spot with the best privacy, she finally relaxed completely.

However, there was one thing that Zhou Wang suddenly noticed.

That was their hands, still tightly held together, hadn’t let go even when they sat down.

Moreover, at some point, they had intertwined their fingers...

Zhou Wang couldn’t help but click his tongue.
