The Wealthy Tycoon's Game of Life

Chapter 1431: Chapter 560: Canary Training Program

Lisa was somewhat at a loss.

Ever since she entered the Heavenly Palace Club, she had attended numerous courses, including law classes taught by professors hired from universities to impart some essential knowledge and techniques.

Including but not limited to ”rape charge identification,” ”property division and child custody issues in cohabitation cases,” ”the distinction between betrothal gifts refund and gifts,” and so on...

The learning was fragmented, but all practical.

However, the current segment was something even the elderly teacher during the legal training hadn’t covered.

Lisa glanced at the draft agreement on the coffee table, its thickness rivaling a small book, which made her somewhat intimidated.

Ultimately, Sun Xining had a bit more courage. After briefly perusing the agreement’s content and finding it more complex than expected, she mustered her courage and said:

”Lawyer Qi, if we have to read the entire agreement content and understand it, it might take up a lot of your time. How about you just explain it to us?”

”I suppose this agreement also leaves us some time to consider, right? So, after you explain, we can review it ourselves, which should be fine.”

Sun Xining added another sentence at the end.

Qi Jiayi lifted her gaze to glance at her, ”You are Sun Xining, right?”

”Yes, she’s Sister Lisa.”

Sun Xining wasn’t surprised that Qi Jiayi already knew their names in advance, so she nodded.

Qi Jiayi gave her a half-smile, half-serious look, gaining further insight into these two girls in front of her.

She suppressed the unusual emotions within her, along with a vague sense of resentment, and quickly returned to work mode, becoming focused again.

”Okay.”

Qi Jiayi nodded lightly.

This was within her expectations.

The draft agreement was so thick that it would not be easy for a legal novice in front of her, much less for herself, to read through it quickly.

Even if the two were willing to read, Qi Jiayi wouldn’t want to waste this time. It’s just that, by procedure, she had to present the agreement first.

”The content of this agreement mainly boils down to two parts.”

Qi Jiayi paused, reminding them, ”Following what I’m about to say, please listen carefully. If you have any doubts in the future, everything will be according to the agreement. If you need further consultation, it will come with a fee.”

”How much?”

Still tense, Lisa instinctively asked.

”100 US dollars.”

Qi Jiayi glanced at her and replied.

”That’s not too bad...”

Lisa was instantly relieved.

Although she temporarily had no savings, she could afford this amount.

”Per minute.”

Who knew that at this moment Qi Jiayi added another sentence.

”Huh?”

Lisa’s mind froze immediately.

dollars...per minute?

That would mean 6000 dollars per hour?

Converted to RMB, that’s tens of thousands...

Oh my god, isn’t this too outrageous?

Lisa instantly thought Qi Jiayi might be bluffing her, but Sun Xining beside her felt Qi Jiayi wasn’t lying.

Because Zhou Wang was very formidable in her mind, and by the same logic, Qi Jiayi, being asked by Zhou Wang to be a private lawyer, should also be very formidable.

She had a relative who worked at a law firm, and she had heard him boasting while dining at home before. In Huaxia, ordinary lawyers’ consultation fees were roughly 300 to 500, but top lawyers could easily go up to several thousand, or even more exaggerated...

But if she remembered correctly, her relative said the unit was ”per hour”...

Yet Qi Jiayi charged according to ”per minute.”

”I’ll begin now.”

At this point, Qi Jiayi reminded them.

Both girls instinctively sat up straight, becoming focused.

Whether or not they could afford Qi Jiayi’s consultation fee wasn’t the point; it was more that, if given a choice, neither would want to face Qi Jiayi alone again.

...The aura this woman emitted was simply too powerful; merely meeting her gaze made both girls feel intense pressure.

”The first part, simply put, is akin to a ’family trust...’”

Qi Jiayi mentioned this, and seeing the two girls full of confusion, she was forced to explain further:

”A ’family trust’ is a kind of wealth management tool. The trustee mentioned here can be directly understood as Mr. Zhou Wang. He will transfer some assets to specific institutions for management and, according to the agreement, distribute the income generated by these assets to your personal accounts at regular intervals...”

Although Qi Jiayi tried to use relatively colloquial language, it still took several repetitions for the two girls to barely comprehend.

”So, if we sign this agreement, we can receive a sum of money every month?”

Lisa blinked and asked.

”Looking at the outcome, yes.”

”Then...then doesn’t that mean it’s a form of financial support?”

Lisa’s cheeks faintly reddened, but she couldn’t help but say softly.

Given her identity, saying the word ”support” wouldn’t be embarrassing; she merely thought this distinguished lawyer was beating around the bush, wasn’t she just describing that?

Could this be the way wealthy people play?

Even the simplest lover relationship could be explained in such complex legal terms...

”Not completely as you interpret it.”

Qi Jiayi was somewhat helpless as well, but she merely explained, ”You must understand, ’trust assets’ are vastly different from ordinary property; first, they fully belong to you personally.”
