The Wealthy Tycoon's Game of Life

Chapter 1433: Chapter 561: What Does He Mean!

Actually, it’s not Qi Jiayi’s first time handling such an agreement.

As a renowned civil law lawyer, she also helped a big client draft a trust agreement when she was in Beidou.

The beneficiary was a girl studying at Beijing Film Academy, pretty and quite young.

Qi Jiayi vaguely remembered the content of the agreement was a fixed eighty thousand every month, and the trustee would also provide a house and a car for the girl to use.

But what really left an impression on Qi Jiayi were those stringent additional terms.

The girl couldn’t smoke, go to nightclubs, had to ”check in” by phone every day, report when going out with classmates, wasn’t allowed to sleep anywhere other than her dorm, was strictly forbidden to open her own social media, and had to maintain her figure by going to a beauty salon weekly...

The girl actually never looked closely at the agreement, she was just immersed in the joy of receiving eighty thousand every month, and signed her name without hesitation.

Eighty thousand...

Actually, Qi Jiayi could understand.

Back in the year 22, the average monthly salary in Beidou was about 9300 for private units and around 16000 for non-private units, and the annual disposable income was only 77000.

And as long as she signed that agreement, she could receive eighty thousand every month, which was a huge temptation for a freshman girl.

Unfortunately, as Qi Jiayi predicted, how could a girl under twenty possibly adhere to so many rules?

After several quarrels, the trustee finally got angry, not only reclaiming the girl’s earnings through legal means but also using some underhanded methods to ruin her reputation at school.

One party was just a naive student, while the other was a successful big figure; this was never an equal match.

Later, the girl dropped out and disappeared from Beidou, and Qi Jiayi never heard from her again.

This incident just remained in her memory, occasionally leading to wistfulness.

Men are indeed unreliable; fortunately, I don’t have such needs...

To be honest, when she received Zhou Wang’s call this morning, Qi Jiayi’s first reaction was resistance.

At Zhou Wang’s request, she took Zhou Wang’s private jet to Peng City early this morning, but the main purpose was to handle the cross-shareholding with Tianque Group and receive assets from the families on Hong Kong Island...

Who knew Zhou Wang would give her another temporary task.

”Mr. Zhou, sorry, please find someone else. I had made up my mind not to handle such matters anymore.”

Without thinking, Qi Jiayi directly refused.

But Zhou Wang’s words threw her off balance.

”Jiayi, come on, only you can help me with this.”

”Mr. Zhou, you... please be mindful of your words.”

”What’s there to be mindful of, what’s our relationship?”

”I don’t understand what you’re saying; we just have a normal working relationship!”

”Well, that’s strange.”

The scoundrel on the other end of the phone said smilingly, ”Since it’s a normal working relationship, isn’t the task I assigned you a normal work task? What right do you have to refuse me?”

”I...”

”You can refuse, but I’ll see it as a work negligence, though I won’t dock your bonus, I can’t guarantee I won’t do other things.”

During Qi Jiayi’s momentary speechlessness, Zhou Wang spoke meaningfully again.

At that time, Qi Jiayi involuntarily tightened her legs, feeling somewhat flustered.

”What... what do you mean?”

”No meaning, just since you want to break the tacit agreement, don’t blame me for coming to collect debts.”

Zhou Wang yawned and laughed.

”Who has a tacit agreement with you?”

Qi Jiayi always felt Zhou Wang’s ”coming” word didn’t sound decent, but she dared not discuss this topic with Zhou Wang, so she angrily hung up the phone.

In the end, after some inner conflict, Qi Jiayi still came.

No matter if that tacit agreement existed, Qi Jiayi truly dared not break that delicate balance; if Zhou Wang truly went mad, she wasn’t confident she could resist...

The agreement seemed complicated, but since she had a sample in hand, she just needed to make some adjustments to the details.

However, what surprised Qi Jiayi again was that Zhou Wang... had almost no requirements for these two girls.

Qi Jiayi was quite incredulous at the time.

You offer them ten thousand a month, and later it could become tens of thousands, and even in the distant future, it might become millions, with no requirements except they can’t cheat?

Even, Zhou Wang said he could support their own careers, meaning aside from personal life, they could do whatever they wanted...

Is this a sponsorship?

No, it’s practically charity, a big fool!

”Why should I give them so many restrictions?”

In response to Qi Jiayi’s questioning, Zhou Wang just smiled lightly, ”They are willing to follow me; it’s already a grievance, since this is destined not to be a fair relationship, what I can do is to give them more compensation materially.”

These words carry an air of arrogance, yet Zhou Wang spoke very sincerely, leaving Qi Jiayi speechless.

In the end, she just agreed, and then, holding the idea of being responsible to Zhou Wang, she added some clauses to the agreement herself.

Indeed, most of the constraining content that Lisa and Sun Xining heard were instead added by Qi Jiayi herself.
