The Wealthy Tycoon's Game of Life

Chapter 1417: Chapter 553: Dragon Head (Part 2)

”This...”

Upon hearing Zhou Wang’s resolute attitude, Mu Li’s face immediately turned pale, caught in a dilemma.

She hadn’t expected Zhou Wang’s appetite to be so large. Cross-shareholding was feasible, but he actually wanted to become the largest shareholder of Tianque Group at once.

Wang Chengyun, seeing Mu Li’s predicament, secretly gloated.

He even hoped Zhou Wang would press Mu Li a little more.

It didn’t matter to him, and letting Zhou Wang become the largest shareholder might actually be a good thing, since he’d always wanted the major families from Hong Kong Island to infiltrate. Zhou Wang’s position in the Hong Kong Island Consortium indirectly fulfilled his goal.

The crucial part was sidelining Mu Li, a woman he never liked, achieving two things at once.

Just as Wang Chengyun was thinking thus, Zhou Wang suddenly looked at him, ”What does Mr. Wang think?”

”Huh, me?”

Wang Chengyun hadn’t expected Zhou Wang to ask for his opinion. Without thinking, he spoke up, ”If Mr. Zhou can truly become the helmsman of our Tianque Group, I would, of course, fully support it...”

”So you have no objections?”

”None, absolutely none...”

”Since Mr. Wang has no objections, what else is there for President Mu to consider?”

Mu Li, who was biting her lip wanting to negotiate a bit more with Zhou Wang, raised her head in confusion upon hearing this, seemingly not understanding Zhou Wang’s words.

”Did I ever say that the 28% of shares had to be provided by President Mu alone?”

Zhou Wang took a sip of the Louis XIII that Wang Chengyun had specially brought out to entertain him and smiled.

”Mr. Zhou, you mean...”

Being an extremely intelligent woman, Mu Li understood Zhou Wang’s meaning in a second, and joy immediately appeared on her face.

Meanwhile, Wang Chengyun’s expression froze.

At this moment, Zhou Wang leisurely said, ”I want a total of 28% of the shares. My personal inclination is for you to provide 12%, with the remaining 16% for Mr. Wang to provide 10%, and the other two shareholders to each contribute 3%... Of course, this is just my suggestion, and the specific proportions for the transaction are your internal matter.”

Internal discussion my ass!

Upon hearing this, Wang Chengyun nearly burst out in anger.

Zhou Wang kept saying it was a ”suggestion,” but after tonight’s episode, neither Mu Li nor Wang Chengyun would dare to think he was merely suggesting.

He intended it, and he planned to do it!

As the second-largest shareholder, Wang Chengyun’s shares were less than Mu Li’s, but he still had as much as 20%. However, if he gave Zhou Wang 10%, he’d be left with just a paltry 10%.

Although the remaining two, after transferring 3%, would still have less shares than him, the difference wouldn’t be much, and he’d have no say.

Only now did Wang Chengyun realize that Zhou Wang never intended to play any game of turning enemies into friends with him. Despite seeming to have a peaceful attitude, he had long been prepared to openly ride on his head...

”Mr. Zhou, this... isn’t appropriate, is it?”

With a grim face, Wang Chengyun reluctantly forced a smile, ”Not all the shares I hold are entirely my own; I’ve signed some proxy agreements, and I can’t decide...”

”Isn’t that simple? Why don’t I talk to the people behind you?”

Zhou Wang smiled, ”If I directly communicate with them, I can’t guarantee how much shares Mr. Wang would have left in the end.”

Threat!

Zhou Wang was outright threatening him!

But Wang Chengyun really didn’t know how to resist...

Given the awe that several major families on Hong Kong Island held for Zhou Wang, clearly, stamping him out would be as easy as squashing an ant.

The funniest thing is, Wang Chengyun wasn’t lying, but the ultimate source of those so-called proxy shares was indeed the Huo Family and Li Family...

If Zhou Wang said the word, he’d truly be kicked out.

”If Mr. Zhou thinks this is most suitable, I... personally have no objections...”

Wang Chengyun said tearfully.

Since Wang Chengyun had surrendered, Mu Li of course had no objections either.

She just couldn’t accept handing over the foundation she and her aunt had built so easily, but if she could maintain Tianque Group’s healthy development, then merely stepping back to become the second-largest shareholder seemed acceptable.

The key was that after being slashed by Zhou Wang, Wang Chengyun’s status in Tianque Group would be greatly reduced, posing no real threat to her anymore.

This was what made Mu Li the most content.

”President Mu, although after the contract signing, I will formally become Tianque Group’s largest shareholder, the future direction of the group will still need you to manage. I will arrange for a supervisor to be stationed but won’t interfere in daily operations...”

Mu Li didn’t completely believe Zhou Wang’s words, but anyway, Zhou Wang showed good grace, and Mu Li quickly expressed her gratitude.

...

Probably fearing delays and changes, Mu Li’s efficiency was terrifyingly high.

During the yacht’s return voyage to Peng City, she already contacted the law firm, so when the yacht docked again at the club’s private pier, Zhou Wang directly signed a letter of intent with the four shareholders of Tianque Group.

The formal procedures would be handled later when Qi Jiayi arrived, as she needed to lead a team to receive Zhou Wang’s newly acquired assets.

After everything was done, it was already late at night, the sky filled with stars, and the time reached eleven o’clock.

As the group disembarked from the yacht, Mu Li turned her gaze toward Zhou Wang.

”Mr. Zhou, according to our agreement, this yacht will henceforth be yours privately. When your lawyer arrives, you can ask her to drop by the club to handle the property transfer.”

”It’s ultimately a group asset, and I will also be part of Tianque Group in the future, so there’s no need to distinguish between yours and mine; it’s better for everyone to share...”

Zhou Wang shook his head, courteously declining.

”If Mr. Zhou doesn’t want to handle the property transfer, at least give this yacht a name...”

Mu Li only considered Zhou Wang’s words as a joke since after Mu Li said such phrases, the other three shareholders wouldn’t dare to use the yacht.

Whether or not the property transfer is processed, this yacht would likely become exclusively Zhou Wang’s.

Wang Chengyun and the other three shareholders briefly greeted Zhou Wang before leaving, presumably trying to find a place to discuss countermeasures and make one last struggle.

As guests began to leave one by one, Ah Gui and Ah Jie, the last to leave, walked down the yacht. Ah Jie took a glance at Sun Xining, who remained beside Zhou Wang, and, without knowing what came over him, bravely asked.

”Ningning, aren’t you coming with us? I can drive you home...”

”Uh... I don’t need it, thank you.”

Sun Xining was briefly stunned before casting a glance at the silent Zhou Wang and then shook her head.

What did she mean by not needing it?

Did Zhou Wang plan to take her, or did they have elsewhere to go...

Ah Jie felt a bit lost but ultimately didn’t dare to probe further, ushering the equally complex Ah Gui to leave, looking back every few steps.

Their limited perceptive layers couldn’t quite grasp the night’s affairs, but they knew at least one thing: Zhou Wang was the father of their cousin, a man not even the all-powerful Mr. Wang dared to provoke. Such a person was beyond their social strata.

Ah Gui had a crush on Sun Xining, but he was self-aware, knowing such a girl wasn’t in his reach, so he wasn’t too despondent. Instead, he felt a bit smug for exchanging contact details with Zhou Wang beforehand.

Now, his contact list held someone to brag about...

Thus, he quickly turned to secretly admire Ah Jie, and the two brothers disappeared into the night.

As the surrounding crowd dispersed, Zhou Wang turned to look with a half-smile at Sun Xining next to him.

”Why didn’t you leave with them? What do you plan to do next?”
