The Wealthy Tycoon's Game of Life

Chapter 1407: Chapter 548: Why Did the Young Master Defect? (Part 3)

When he first heard his own son had been beaten, he actually wasn’t that anxious, but the moment he heard that Mr. Li had also been hit, Wang Chengyun really did panic.

Because of business priorities, most of the industries he’s in charge of are on Hong Kong Island and Ao Island. In name, he’s the second-largest shareholder of Tianque Group, but his mind is never really on the Group’s development. This is also why he’s been pushing so hard to get the big families on Hong Kong Island to buy into Tianque Group.

After he arrived on scene, Wang Chengyun actually didn’t understand what was going on at first glance, but at least he found the other side of the conflict—the young man standing on the deck with a calm expression.

And just in time, he heard Zhou Wang say his name.

”Zhou Wang?”

Wang Chengyun instantly understood. No wonder, he thought this young man looked so unfamiliar, he had absolutely no impression of him—how could he be on this yacht?

If it was that ”Zhou Wang” whom Mu Li valued the most, then everything made sense.

However, even though he understood Zhou Wang’s identity, a cold smirk still appeared at the corner of Wang Chengyun’s mouth.

He knew this Zhou Wang might have some background, otherwise Mu Li wouldn’t value him so much. But look at who’s standing opposite him?

The Li Family’s most pampered youngest son, Li Youjun; the Huang Family’s second young master, Huang Yongkang; and Huo Chengrui... the most hotly tipped successor among the younger generation of the Huo Family!

Wang Chengyun really didn’t believe that no matter how awesome this Zhou Wang was, he could outmatch these three.

So when he happened to see Huang Yongkang being choked speechless by Zhou Wang, Wang Chengyun immediately strode over and loudly cut in:

”Mr. Zhou, I know you’re President Mu’s honored guest, but that doesn’t mean you can just make trouble here as you please!”

”And you are?”

Zhou Wang raised an eyebrow and looked at the suddenly appearing Wang Chengyun, but at that moment he heard Wang Jia shout ”Dad.”

”My name is Wang Chengyun, a member of the board of Tianque Group, executive vice president.”

Zhou Wang instantly understood. He was basically the number two in the Group, and he should also be Wang Jia’s father.

Actually, just that latter identity alone was enough for Zhou Wang to figure out where he stood.

”Where’s President Mu?”

Zhou Wang wasn’t very interested in talking to him.

”No need for President Mu to come out. I can already handle what’s happening here.”

Wang Chengyun spoke with a hint of chill in his voice.

”Oh? And how do you plan to handle it?”

”Mr. Zhou, although you’re an honored guest, Mr. Li’s status isn’t low either. Let him go first, then apologize to him. After that, how to deal with things will be based mainly on Mr. Li’s opinion; everyone can take their time discussing it.”

”So what you mean is, I’m supposed to completely watch Mr. Li’s mood?”

”Not exactly.”

Wang Chengyun first denied it, and just when Zhou Wang thought he was about to say something fair and impartial, Wang Chengyun continued:

”Because the current situation doesn’t just involve Mr. Li; there’s also President Huang and Mr. Huo, so their opinions are equally important... Of course, especially Mr. Huo. If you can’t obtain his forgiveness, then I can only say sorry to you, Mr. Zhou.”

Wang Chengyun was purely trying to curry favor with Mr. Huo, even deliberately casting a fawning glance his way at this moment.

But Huo Chengrui panicked.

What the hell, how did this turn into needing my forgiveness?

Everything happened too fast; Huo Chengrui didn’t have any chance to speak... Of course, he actually wasn’t very keen on speaking either.

After all, he had no idea how to communicate with Zhou Wang—or rather, how to treat Zhou Wang.

But he never expected that at this moment, Wang Chengyun would drag him into it.

That made it look like he was targeting Zhou Wang...

How could that be okay?

So without even thinking, Huo Chengrui hurriedly waved his hands like crazy and rushed to speak before Zhou Wang could respond:

”Ah, this has nothing to do with me... Um, Zhou Wang, I don’t have any issue with you, you don’t need to seek my forgiveness, please don’t misunderstand!”

Everyone: ?

President Huang and Mr. Li both widened their eyes at once, but the most baffled of all was still Wang Chengyun.

What the hell!

No... Mr. Huo, I’m trying to earn you some face here—what’s with you rushing to distance yourself like that?

And he didn’t know if it was his imagination, but Wang Chengyun even felt that Mr. Huo had a trace of panic—what the hell was that about?

Why is the young master defecting to the enemy!
