The Wealthy Tycoon's Game of Life

Chapter 1402: Chapter 546: Green Tea = The Considerate Good Little Sister_2

This was also the reason why, although clearly he was so angry he might explode, he restrained himself from throwing a fit when he saw the two of them glued together.

He simply didn’t look at Zhou Wang, instead turning his gaze to Sun Xining.

”Ningning, you spilled wine on them just now, and these are people I can’t afford to offend. Just walking away like this isn’t very appropriate. Come back with me and apologize?”

Ah Jie tried to persuade her with a gentle tone, but given what he just witnessed, he was still holding onto his temper, making his words sound exceedingly rigid.

Sun Xining felt repulsed, but she didn’t show much on her face. She just replied with a hint of confusion, ”Oh, but I already apologized earlier. Do I have to do it again?”

”I’m not asking you to do it again, but... but we’ve only just met, walking away like this isn’t great either, right?”

Uncertain on how to face his cousin, Ah Jie forced himself to continue persuading.

”It’s precisely because we’ve just met that I think it’s no big deal to walk away just like that.”

Sun Xining spoke with a smile, glanced at Zhou Wang, ”Young Master Jie, I also have to thank you for bringing me here today. I never expected to run into old classmates... really, thank you.”

Faced with the girl’s genuine gratitude, Ah Jie was immediately left speechless.

To keep being forceful would make him appear ungentlemanly, yet to say nothing would make him feel like a sucker...

Eventually, despite his internal struggle, Ah Jie didn’t say anything, waved his hand, and turned with a sour expression. Ah Gui, wanting to say a few more words to Zhou Wang, considered his friend’s feelings and ended up awkwardly smiling at Zhou Wang, agreeing to talk later, before hurriedly chasing after Ah Jie.

”Zhou Wang, do you think it would be better for me to go back?”

Reflective and somewhat uncertain, Sun Xining asked while biting her lip.

”Who are the people at your table?”

Zhou Wang, though unaware of what happened earlier, could gather that Sun had some unpleasantness with them before she left the table, contemplated and asked.

”The people at the table are all Zhang Jie’s cousins’ friends. They seem to be wealthy second-generation heirs from Hong Kong Island. One’s named Huo Chengrui, looks like his family is rich, with two other men, one surnamed Li, one surnamed Huang...”

Sun Xining concisely relayed the information she gathered to Zhou Wang, while also discreetly observing his expression.

She thought, considering Zhou Wang’s status, he must not be unfamiliar with these people, and if Zhou Wang showed any signs of difficulty, she would find a way to fix the issue herself.

This is why guys are fond of ”green teas.”

They may have various flaws, but if they truly care for a guy, they always exhibit utmost consideration, willing to suffer a bit rather than let you face difficulties...

Thus arose the widely spread saying, there’s no such thing as a green tea bitch, she’s just my understanding good sister!

Sun Xining had never disturbed Zhou Wang; their later communication stopped because Zhou Wang didn’t respond much to her, and she ”wisely” vanished by herself.

”Huo Chengrui?”

Suddenly hearing this name, Zhou Wang paused for a moment.

Why does it sound so familiar?

Upon recollection, he remembered, wasn’t he the wealthy heir from Hong Kong Island he interacted with briefly back in the White City?

Back then, both wanted to buy Yang Liping’s Sun Palace and Moon Palace, leading to a brief encounter, which wasn’t pleasant, but since they hadn’t had any dealings again, Zhou Wang gradually forgot about him.

Huo Chengrui might not be noteworthy, but the Huo Family behind him couldn’t be underestimated, being one of the few top families in Hong Kong Island.

Moreover, if it was someone with the surname ”Li” or ”Huang,” and they could associate with Huo Chengrui as equals, likely they were also members of some distinct families.

Considering tonight’s yacht party hosted by Tianque Group, and Heavenly Palace’s business spans Hong Kong and Macau, their presence here made perfect sense.

After a brief contemplation, seeing Sun Xining seemed to be waiting for his reply, Zhou Wang smiled, saying, ”If you find spending time with me more fun, there’s truly no need to go back, I can send you home after this too.”

”Don’t worry, I have the qualification to bring friends onto the yacht too.”

Zhou Wang added.

At this point, Sun Xining inferred from observation that Zhou Wang was aware of Huo Chengrui’s identity, yet he didn’t seem to care much...

She didn’t fully understand Zhou Wang, nor knew where he got his confidence, but since Zhou Wang said so, Sun Xining certainly wouldn’t question it.

Because she just gave a sweet smile, ”Sure, but I need to correct one thing, being with you isn’t just more fun.”

”Oh? Then what is it?”

”It’s incredibly fun... intestine.”

Afraid Zhou Wang wouldn’t understand her meaning, Sun Xining emphasized certain words, casting him a sideways glance like spring water.

Zhou Wang, being such an experienced man, instantly understood. Though it wasn’t a particularly skillful tease, it still stirred his heart lightly.

”Then we shouldn’t stand here, let’s find somewhere to sit.”

Indeed, Zhou Wang didn’t harbor any particular intentions; ”meeting an old acquaintance in a foreign land” is always a pleasant thing, he didn’t mind spending more time with Sun Xining.

But upon reaching the lobby, Sun Xining paused, ”Zhou Wang, shouldn’t we just sit outside? I heard inside seats are pre-assigned, bringing me in might be inconvenient, right?”

Objectively speaking, there wasn’t anything inconvenient. Even if big hall seats were assigned beforehand, given Mu Li’s importance placed on Zhou Wang, how could there not be a seat for him?

But Zhou Wang understood Sun Xining’s true intent, which was because Huo Chengrui and those people were inside, she didn’t want to cause unnecessary conflict by bringing Zhou Wang in.

She was still as considerate.

Although Zhou Wang wasn’t afraid of trouble, he didn’t see the need to invite it, so he nodded.

The two found a spot on the deck, engaging in casual conversations.

It wasn’t clear if Sun Xining guided things intentionally or if Zhou Wang was inadvertently probing, nonetheless, in just a brief exchange, Sun Xining had through various hints and responses made Zhou Wang aware of one fact—

That since their last meeting, Sun Xining had remained in a ”single window period,” not interacting with other men.

While it might be just Sun Xining’s rhetoric, her sincere manner indeed caused Zhou Wang some subtle feelings.

He couldn’t claim to have deep feelings for Sun Xining, but when a woman remains virtuous after you, it inexplicably gives you a strange sense of achievement.

Sun Xining only briefly touched on it, in most instances, she explored Zhou Wang’s life.

Zhou Wang found chatting with Sun Xining genuinely unburdensome, since she was aware he had a girlfriend, plus her boundaries were wide, allowing Zhou Wang to speak freely.

Occasionally sprinkled with high school memories, the conversation was pleasantly reminiscent, a subtlety Zhou Wang favored.

But unsurprisingly, the unexpected came quickly, as a voice sounded, disturbing the atmosphere.

”Miss Ningning, this isn’t suitable, you clearly boarded the yacht with my cousin, yet now you’ve left him hanging, indulging with another man... you seem pretty happy drinking here!”

The sarcastic voice from behind prompted Zhou Wang to turn in surprise, seeing what appeared to be two men and a woman just passing by, frowning at them.

The man’s tone wasn’t kind, his expression wasn’t pleasant either, from his terms he seemed to be the cousin of the one named Zhang Jie.

”One is Ah Jie’s cousin, named Wang Jia, another with a female companion surnamed Li, I don’t know his name, just heard others call him Mr. Li...”

Sun Xining whispered promptly by Zhou Wang’s ear.
