The Wealthy Tycoon's Game of Life

Chapter 288: Chapter 164 This is My Answer (Request for Monthly Votes)_2

At noon, it was Wu Lei who found the place for lunch, a farmhouse restaurant in Li City.

The meal was another local specialty besides cured ribs, Naxi barbecue.

Unlike the mainstream barbecue that is now made with beef as the raw material, the main ingredient of Naxi barbecue was pork, especially the marinated pork belly which was exceptionally delicious.

Combined with special chili powder, along with a bit of fried mint, the mixed aroma exploded in the mouth, extremely delicious.

After lunch, they headed to the second stop of the day, which could also be said to be one of the must-visit attractions in Li City, Lugu Lake.

Because Lugu Lake was relatively far away, everyone had lunch in advance and set off before noon. After a nearly three-hour drive, they arrived at this dreamy body of water.

The last time Zhou Wang came to Li City, he was already amazed, and this time he felt about the same.

Because Lugu Lake was truly beautiful.

Among the two extremely famous attractions in Li City, Yulong Snow Mountain sometimes existed with some controversy, but in the recommendations of most bloggers, Lugu Lake often ranked first.

Zhou Wang was not very cultured and didn’t know how to accurately describe its beauty, that clear blue and green intertwine, the mist reflected with the mountains and water...

If Zhou Wang had to describe it, he would probably say,

”My life should be wasted in a place like this.”

Wu Lei could arrange yachts, but Zhou Wang thought about it and ultimately chose to take the simplest wooden boat, commonly known as the ”pig trough boat.”

Sometimes expensive isn’t necessarily suitable, in a place to appreciate natural scenery, there wasn’t a need for the noise of engines.

The rental fee was eighty bucks, just right for four people to sit in. Wu Lei served as the boatman, silently sitting at the stern, Zhou Wang in the middle, surrounded by three lovely girls, with beautiful views all around, making him want to recite poetry.

However, once again due to a lack of cultural background, he could only smile it off.

When Su Yajing and Shen Yutong excitedly started taking photos again and pulled Miao Ying into it, Zhou Wang also sat at the stern, took the chilled beer handed to him by Wu Lei, and took a hearty sip.

”Brother Wu, living in a place like this every day must be quite peaceful, right?”

As he understood more, Zhou Wang gradually felt that Wu Lei was not just a mere guide, and he had much experience engraved within him, so Zhou Wang treated him with more courtesy.

”That’s different, Mr. Zhou, you all come for a real vacation, but I’m still working. Running around under the sun, I sometimes wish I could sit in an office like the city folks, haha...”

Wu Lei shook his head with a smile, revealing a faint scar on the back of his head when he turned.

After chatting with Wu Lei for a few moments, Zhou Wang felt it was about right, so he hesitantly spoke up, ”Actually, I’d like to ask for your insight about something...”

”Mr. Zhou, feel free to ask. If I can be of help, I certainly won’t decline.”

Wu Lei sensed something, but his smile didn’t change.

”The place where you picked me up last night, the Guan Yue Guesthouse, do you remember it?”

Zhou Wang carefully said, ”I wonder if you have a way to contact the landlord of that guesthouse.”

”There are hundreds of inns and guesthouses of all sizes in the Ancient City District of Li City. I wouldn’t say I know every single one, but I know most, and I have a vague memory of Guan Yue Guesthouse; it should be part of He Lao Qi’s family property, and confirming it is simple by making a call.”

Wu Lei recalled and then asked, ”Mr. Zhou, may I ask, why are you trying to contact the landlord?”

”If possible, I want to buy that guesthouse.”

Zhou Wang candidly revealed his objective.

”Buy?”

Wu Lei was surprised. ”Mr. Zhou, I assume you have a foreign household registration? Are you aware that there are quite a few restrictions on property transactions in Li City...”

”I know, it’s fine, the transaction would be with a local.” Zhou Wang nodded with a smile.

”Oh, then it’s alright.”

Wu Lei comprehended, remembering Ruan Jingwei’s instructions, and nodded readily. ”In that case, I’ll help you inquire about it first, before end of today, I’ll give you an answer.”

”Great, thanks.”

...

They stayed at Lugu Lake for an hour or two, during which Wu Lei made several calls in a local language that Zhou Wang couldn’t understand, but he didn’t hurry to tell Zhou Wang about any progress, probably waiting for some form of communication result.

By the time Zhou Wang and the three girls returned to the Ancient City of Li City, it was already eight in the evening.

Wu Lei left first, and Zhou Wang and the others returned to Guan Yue Guesthouse.

They needed to come back because Su Man had slaughtered a black goat and cooked a big pot of goat soup specially waiting for them, a goodwill gesture not to be wasted.

... Although Zhou Wang personally wasn’t fond of lamb, he always thought it smelled a bit raw.

Fortunately, with the dipping sauce bolstered by double coriander, Zhou Wang found this meal quite satisfactory.

Perhaps this was the meaning of traveling, foods that he wouldn’t try before even tasted quite good.

This was the ”joy of indulgence.”

After dinner, Zhou Wang proactively suggested going out for a stroll. Zhou Wang rarely had such elegance, and Su Yajing naturally raised both hands in agreement.

With Su Yajing’s encouragement, Su Man, who hadn’t been out for several days, ended up changing into a fresh long dress and joined everyone.

Running a guesthouse didn’t theoretically have a holiday, but it was rather more relaxed when fully occupied; with Yajing’s uncle and Xiao Xia on duty, it was more than enough.
