The Wealthy Tycoon's Game of Life

Chapter 257: Chapter 155 Donate Ten Million!

Facing the questioning gaze of Li Xiwen, Qin Li was a bit confused.

He looked at Zhou Wang with a trace of familiarity, but that’s all it was, just a trace.

Students from four or five years ago, and he wasn’t even the homeroom teacher. Plus, Zhou Wang had changed so much. It was already impressive he had any impression at all.

The key point was, Qin Li was very certain there was absolutely no one like Zhou Wang from that age group on his special invitation list.

When the person in question was Li Xiwen, Zhou Wang knew he couldn’t wait for Jiang Qingkui to introduce him. It would be inappropriate.

So he took the initiative, smiling as he shook hands with Li Xiwen, ”Principal, hello, my name is Zhou Wang. I am a student of the class of 2020, 16th class. Guo Weiliang was my homeroom teacher.”

”Oh, so you’re a student of Teacher Guo, nice to meet you, nice to meet you.”

Li Xiwen maintained a gentle smile, but the confusion in her eyes deepened.

So?

”I came with Senior Jiang Qingkui. Currently, we are partners in business... As for me, I have some idle funds on hand now, and I wanted to see if there’s an opportunity to contribute to the development of my alma mater.”

Zhou Wang didn’t leave Li Xiwen guessing any longer and simply stated his objective.

”That’s a good thing, Zhou Wang. Welcome back to school, and thank you for still thinking of your alma mater.”

Li Xiwen smiled, speaking warmly, but it was simply a formality.

Zhou Wang didn’t mind. His age was indeed too misleading and hard to gain attention.

Li Xiwen continued to shake hands and exchange pleasantries with others, but Qin Li, the director, stared at Zhou Wang for a moment and finally had an epiphany.

”Zhou Wang, I remember you. Wasn’t it you who got called into the office once for a relationship, with your parents being called in too?”

”...It wasn’t me, Director, you got the wrong person. That person was Yang Hao.”

”No, it was you. I remember this clearly,”

But Qin Li was very certain, ”A bold young man, daring to kiss on the playground.”

”...”

Meeting Jiang Qingkui’s strange gaze and suppressed laughter, Zhou Wang opened his mouth and then gave up defending himself.

”After graduating, you guys still come back to look around. It’s really thoughtful.”

Qin Li laughed, patting Zhou Wang’s shoulder, ”I just heard you mention you wanted to donate to the school. You’ve come at the right time. This year happens to be the tenth anniversary of our school’s Education Development Foundation, and we need strong support from outstanding alumni like you!”

”Education Development Foundation?” Zhou Wang was slightly taken aback.

”It’s an educational fund managed by the school, funded by the alumni association, divided into three major parts. One is the Scholarship Fund, helping impoverished students complete their studies, another is the Construction Fund, for optimizing the school’s infrastructure, and the last part is the Charity Medical Fund...”

Qin Li briefly explained.

Zhou Wang realized, ”Then this fund is indeed very meaningful. I remember there was a classmate in our grade who had leukemia and seemed to have received help from the school, right?”

”Yes, the girl you mentioned, Gao Ya, received timely treatment back then, so she recovered and after retaking exams, she got into Xiang Province University. She came to see me a few days ago...”

Talking about this, Qin Li couldn’t help but smile.

”That’s great.” Zhou Wang nodded sincerely, ”Director Qin, when does the donation start?”

”No rush, no rush. Principal Li will talk about this later.”

Qin Li laughed heartily, adding, ”It’s great to want to give back to your alma mater, but Zhou Wang, I have to remind you—earlier I heard you’re working with Qingkui. This is really the stage where your career is starting. Donations, well, you should go at your own pace!”

Qin Li had good intentions, perhaps worried that young people care too much about face. In his view, there was no need to act beyond one’s means.

Zhou Wang hadn’t had time to say anything when Lv Bo, who had been listening for a while, finally found his chance to interject, immediately chuckling:

”Director Qin, your worries are completely unnecessary. Our brother Zhou Wang here is quite capable. He does business in the billions. For donations like this, wouldn’t it start in the millions?”

”Oh?”

Qin Li was first surprised, but then caught the playful tone in Lv Bo’s smile.

Though he didn’t know what kind of conflict Lv Bo and Zhou Wang had, Qin Li, who had dealt with countless student disputes, understood instantly.

”Millions would be too exaggerated!” he laughed heartily, ”As long as it’s a sincere donation, we wouldn’t reject even one or two of them!”

After speaking, Qin Li smoothly slipped away, not wanting to be a ”tool” in the conflict between Lv Bo and Zhou Wang.

”The second time now.”

Zhou Wang looked at Lv Bo deeply, raising a finger.

Lv Bo opened his mouth, but for some reason, under Zhou Wang’s gaze, he didn’t say anything in the end.

Meanwhile, Zhou Wang had already pulled Jiang Qingkui inside to greet the two old academicians.

A flash of embarrassment and annoyance crossed Lv Bo’s face, and he let out a sneer: ”This schoolmate is kind of funny, isn’t he? What does he mean by that, is he trying to threaten me?”

Zhong Huilan, who had been silently observing, gave Lv Bo a peculiar look.

She didn’t know if Zhou Wang threatened him, but undoubtedly, Lv Bo backed down just now.

”Let it go, Lv Bo. Junior Zhou Wang will surely join the alumni association, and there’s no avoiding future interaction. No need to make things so tense...”

After considering, Zhong Huilan kindly advised.

”Huilan, I just can’t stand these arrogant and domineering rich second generations... They brag better than anyone, going as far as to say they’ve acquired Jiahui International. If we weren’t industry insiders, we might have actually been fooled by him.”
