My Cards are Infinitely Refreshed

50: Level 3 Exotic”A glorious mission?”

Shi Li felt the title sounded quite grand.

”That’s right, this mission is—to strike at Li Card Hall.”

”Uh.”

Shi Li truly hadn’t expected this mission.

He knew there was competition among the five major Card Halls, but Li Card Hall and Star Card Hall were massive, so how could a small Gold Card Player like himself possibly strike at them?

”Take a look at this first.”

Xiu Qingshan sent a document to Shi Li’s phone.

It contained the stats of many types of Demon, all two-star LV5.

He wondered what the Hall Master meant by sending him this.

”The Training Field hasn’t been open for very long, actually.

Before you, there were others who challenged that Man-Eating Flower.”

Xiu Qingshan suddenly brought this up.

”I’ve heard about it.”

Shi Li had some knowledge of the matter.

If those previous few had succeeded, there wouldn’t have been any need for him.

”But you might not know that one of them was from Star Card Hall.”

This was the first time Shi Li had heard this.

During his time at the Training Field, he had learned quite a bit from chatting with Brother Yan and others that he hadn’t known before.

Only the three major Card Halls were known to have the capability to open Monster Training Grounds in Durian City.

However, Xiu Card Hall’s Monster Training Ground was not as large in scale as the other two.

Although all three Monster Training Grounds were only open to Silver and Gold Card Players, the other two had more Demon.

Especially in terms of two-star LV5 Demon, Xiu Card Hall only had one, while the other two had a whole group.

So, it made sense for the two Card Halls to send people to challenge the Man-Eating Flower.

As long as the Man-Eating Flower was defeated, Xiu Card Hall would lose its two-star LV5 Demon that held the fort, and naturally, its reputation and public opinion would be even less comparable to theirs in the future.

”This information I’m giving you is about all the two-star LV5 Demon in Li Card Hall’s Training Field.”

”But I remember there’s a threshold for the Training Field.”

Shi Li thought of a question.

The highest entry rank for the Training Field was Gold 4; Gold 5 or higher Gold Card Players wishing to enter had to be members of Xiu Card Hall.

The same applied to the other two Training Fields.

”Hmph, those guys from Li Card Hall are very despicable.

The people they sent came in as Gold 4, but then they broke through on the spot right before the Man-Eating Flower, promoting to Gold 5.”

Xiu Qingshan’s face showed disdain.

”They can play it like that.”

Shi Li asked, enlightened, ”Does the Hall Master mean for me to do the same?”

To be honest, this was exactly what he wanted.

He was just worrying about where to do the reinforcement mission for Crimson Blaze.

”With your current deck strength, you can completely handle two-star LV5 Demon, so there’s no need to use their underhanded tricks.”

Xiu Qingshan said, taking out a device from a drawer.

”This is...”

”When you go to their Card Hall, they will definitely be wary of you.

This is an electronic jammer specifically designed to block surveillance footage; as long as you are in a card game, it will blur the surveillance footage, making your cards unclear.”

After handing over the jammer, he took out over a dozen cards.

”Take these too.

If they detect your intentions, they will likely expel you.

So, before you’re discovered, you must act quickly and finish the battle swiftly.”

Most of these cards were of the same type.

Mental Recovery: Use this card to restore mental power for Gold and below-rank Card Players.

With mental power replenished, one could battle at a faster frequency, avoiding unnecessary rest time.

”Thank you, Hall Master.”

Shi Li took the item cards.

These were good items; if there were any left, he could use them to replenish his mental power when refreshing missions later.

After explaining some details, Xiu Qingshan did not let Shi Li depart immediately but instead started chatting casually.

”I heard you guys are having a city-wide unified card tournament recently. How is it? Do you have confidence in winning the championship?”

”It’s very difficult; there’s a Platinum 1 Card Player among the participants.”

Shi Li spoke truthfully.

”Platinum 1, that’s indeed not easy to deal with.”

Xiu Qingshan also understood that a Platinum 1 Card Player was not as easy to deal with as a two-star LV5 Demon.

”Although the unified exam championship sounds impressive, and the rewards are substantial.

But if possible, I hope you don’t advance to the Platinum rank in the short term.”

He, however, made such a request.

”Oh...”

Shi Li’s expression was a little stunned.

It sounded as if he could advance to the Platinum rank whenever he wanted.

”Why?”

But he still expressed his question.

”What I’m about to say, just keep it to yourself.”

Xiu Qingshan’s eyes showed a hint of seriousness.

”According to analyses by relevant departments, an LV3 Otherworld will soon open within Jiangnan Province.”

”!”

Shi Li immediately understood what the other party meant.

An LV3 Otherworld meant that only Gold Card Players were allowed to enter at most.

There was a rule suppression within the Otherworld, and the highest level of Demon inside would only be two-star.

Besides that, there might also be another threat: alien race.

There were also Card Players among the alien race, and their strength was also divided by rank.

If alien race appeared in an LV3 Otherworld, they would also be at most Gold rank.

”When the Otherworld opens, various forces will surely rush to enter.

Our Card Hall will have to rely on you Gold Card Players then.”

Xiu Qingshan did not expect Shi Li to play a significant role in this operation.

After all, the Card Hall had an elite Card Player unit specifically set up to deal with LV3 Otherworld disasters.

Even before today, he hadn’t considered including Shi Li in the list of personnel for this pioneering expedition.

It was because he had seen the card game with the Man-Eating Flower just now and believed that with Shi Li’s current deck strength, self-preservation should not be a problem.

That’s why he changed his mind.

One should know that risk and opportunity coexist in the Otherworld, and the first people to enter and explore often gain the most.

Such an opportunity to be among the first personnel to enter an Otherworld was rare.

Xiu Qingshan’s goal was simple: he hoped Shi Li could use this opportunity to gain some good experience.

A Card Player’s growth was not an overnight matter; it required steady progress.

”Please rest assured, Hall Master, I will definitely work hard then.”

Knowing that he would have the opportunity to enter an Otherworld, Shi Li was naturally quite excited.

After all, as a Card Player, who wouldn’t want to venture into an Otherworld for an adventure?

Moreover, besides adventure, Otherworlds were also treasure troves in the eyes of Card Players.

One of the important sources for pixel material cards, item cards, and even token cards was the Otherworld.

”Alright, it’s estimated to be about a month until the Otherworld opens.

During this time, you should focus on accumulating your strength.”

Seeing that it was getting late, Xiu Qingshan sent Shi Li off.

It was the peak time for people entering and leaving the Training Field, making it less likely to attract attention.

So, an hour and a half later, Shi Li arrived at the Monster Training Ground belonging to Li Card Hall.
