My Cards are Infinitely Refreshed

36: Advance to [Gold 4]Finally, after a series of battles, the BOSS was taken down just before all of our Character Cards were about to be depleted.

“We passed, but the battle damage was too severe; I don’t think the completion rate will be very high.”

Shi Li understood that if it weren’t for the Red Blade Maiden joining, this raid would not have been possible.

Sure enough, the settlement text quickly popped up.

“You have completed this simulation, with a completion rate of 23%.”

“You can obtain Character Card [Crowman Scout (Two-Star)] x1.”

“Do you want to reset this mission for 1500 cubic coins? (Yes/No)”

Indeed, the more cards there were, the higher the cost of refreshing and resetting.

Compared to refreshing for the Red Blade Maiden’s star ascension, it was 300 cubic coins more expensive.

If this trend continued, wouldn’t he potentially have to spend tens of thousands of cubic coins for a single refresh in the future?

However, that was for the future; what Shi Li was more concerned about now was how low this completion rate was.

“23%? That’s way too low.”

He merely glanced at the Character Card and then gave up on it.

The key was that this card was indeed a Two-Star, but it didn’t have a single entry, only two entry slots.

That was almost equivalent to a no-star card.

This was the lowest completion rate he had ever encountered in a simulation mission.

He heard that some simulation missions were easy to pass but difficult to achieve high completion rates, and he guessed that the [Giant Wood Guard Team] was of this type.

If one was lucky enough to achieve a higher completion rate in this type of simulation mission, the quality of the loot would usually be quite good.

So Shi Li knew that this mission still had to be approached carefully, step by step.

The Red Blade Maiden’s addition could greatly reduce the difficulty, but it didn’t mean he could push through mindlessly.

Thus, in the subsequent options, he began to collect some buffs that primarily enhanced survival and sustainability.

There was no need to worry about output; he had plenty.

Compared to missions for Unique Character Cards, these ordinary simulation missions were relatively simpler.

And perhaps it was because this mission wasn’t as high-level as the Crimson Blade, or perhaps he had gained experience after that time, or perhaps his rank was higher now.

As a Two-Star mission, Shi Li refreshed it 5 consecutive times before his mental energy was depleted and he needed rest.

So for the next two days, his routine was to refresh until the system prompted him to rest, then enter the cubic cabin to rest or study.

The cubic cabin could even serve as a refuge when necessary.

If one needed to sleep and rest, it would connect to brain nerves and help one enter the most suitable sleep rhythm.

Eating was even less of a concern; the soaking liquid itself had the function of concentrated nutrition.

Furthermore, Shi Li’s unit was the latest capsule type, possessing powerful self-sufficiency functions in all aspects.

Even if it fell into the deep sea, he could safely survive.

After two days and a total of 12 refreshes, Shi Li finally got a satisfactory answer.

“You have completed this simulation, with a completion rate of 100%.”

“You can obtain Character Card [Crowman Scout (Two-Star)] x1.”

“You can obtain Hand Card [Healing (LV2)] x1 [Charge (LV1)] x1.”

“Do you want to reset this mission for 1500 cubic coins? (Yes/No)”

“Oh, oh, oh!”

Shi Li felt that these 18,000 cubic coins were truly well spent.

He actually got an LV2 Hand Card!

One must know that the main source of LV2 Hand Cards was Three-Star simulation missions, with only a very small number of Two-Star simulation missions yielding them.

As for LV3 Hand Cards, they were even rarer, only appearing in a very small number of Four-Star simulation missions.

Therefore, this LV2 Hand Card was definitely a good thing for Shi Li.

[LV2 Healing]: Restores 40 health to 1 card (T1).

“Compared to LV1, this LV2 has 10 more healing points.

Friends who are often counter-killed know that sometimes these 10 health points are quite precious.”

Shi Li put away the Hand Card.

In his heart, the value of this [LV2 Healing] even surpassed that of Character Cards like the [Crow Scout].

Character Cards could be replaced or even phased out, but Hand Cards were the real permanent fixtures, and also an important means for card players to exert their subjective initiative and influence the direction of the game.

A strong golden light surged out from the crack in the door, illuminating the entire corridor.

“Again… How many times has it been this month?”

Shi Yuan, who was washing dishes in the living room, was already somewhat numb seeing this scene.

Since the beginning of this semester, his brother’s rank had been like a rocket.

He had been stuck at Silver 3 for a long time, but now, if he wasn’t mistaken, he should already be Gold 4.

“It seems I need to work hard too.”

Shi Yuan, who was only Bronze 1, secretly made up his mind: “After I finish my last summer vacation and go to high school, I will definitely study hard.”

Making resolutions is about setting long-term goals, not just focusing on the present.

Because it’s impossible to achieve in the present.

“Gold 4.”

After putting away the [Crow Scout], Shi Li felt a warm current surging through his body.

Good news: he acquired a Level 2 Hand Card.

Bad news: half of his funds were already spent.

“I wonder if the remaining money will be enough.”

Looking at the mere 17,000 cubic coins he had left, Shi Li pulled out his second token card.

After clicking to open it, text quickly appeared line by line.

“The name of this mission is: Dragon Burial Ancient Tomb.”

“In a mysterious place, a dragon is rumored to be buried.”

“Today, a group of tomb raiders broke in.”

“However, one careless fellow accidentally triggered a mechanism.”

“A giant rolling stone sphere slowly approached from behind, and the group of tomb raiders could only choose to flee.”

“Please help them make a choice.”

“A. Crouch in the corner, trying to squeeze through a gap.”

“Gain BUFF [Crushed]: In the next card game, all members’ health is reduced by 95%.”

“B. Left fork in the road.”

“Gain BUFF [Arrow Attack]: In the next card game, all members gain 10 [Bleeding].”

“C. Right fork in the road.”

“Gain BUFF [Discover Treasure]: In this simulation mission, all Character Cards’ attack power +10 points (stackable).”

“Today’s mission is a bit different.”

Shi Li had now completed quite a few simulation missions, so he had some experience.

The first choice he usually encountered in previous simulation missions was the so-called “direction choice,” which meant options that did not carry buffs but only determined the path direction.

And this [Dragon Burial Ancient Tomb] immediately offered a BUFF choice, which was the first time he had encountered it.

The key was that two of them were BUFFs with quite severe negative effects.

Another point was that this simulation mission didn’t seem to require collecting characters.

“Ten tomb raiders, just enough to form a 9+1 deck.

Why does this simulation mission feel so strange?”

He looked at the character panel.

The tomb raiders’ card stats were fine; they were all normal Three-Star Character Cards.

But one must know that in the past, compared to collecting powerful BUFFs, the more difficult part was how to assemble a set of Character Cards during the process.

Now they were given directly; wasn’t that a bit too simple?
