Pillar of Yita

However, in the bumpy environment of the Sky Sea, projectile weapons at a distance of one hundred meters were almost devoid of accuracy; the lead bullets hitting the ship’s side sent splinters flying, but hardly injured anyone behind.

Elisa leaned out to look, her sharp gaze seemingly piercing through the swirling gun smoke.

She observed the shadows moving like thermal images behind and said, ”Sixty-three people, half are native sailors, the real fighters are the remaining ones: Great Sword Warriors, Blood Seekers, Shadow Blades, Nightingales, Gunslingers, and Magic Guided Conductors. Their configuration is clearly attack-focused.”

”There might be more in the lower cabins.” Tang Xin sat behind a mast, holding Milaila’s Healing Wand. Ai Xiaoxiao was beside her, tasked with protecting the group’s sole dedicated Priest.

Elisa nodded in agreement.

But suddenly her expression changed, and she shouted: ”Watch out, they’re coming!”

The sailors led by Elan were quite seasoned; it wasn’t their first time experiencing combat on the Sky Sea. They quickly recovered from the earlier chaos and pulled the ropes to turn the sails of the Oxin Silver Flame across.

The massive three-masted ship leaned towards the Seven Seas Traveler, and the high bulwarks of the large ship showcased their advantage. The combat professionals on the Oxin Silver Flame need only grab the swinging ropes to jump down onto the Seven Seas Traveler.

However, upon jumping, they realized the problem wasn’t so simple.

The first to arrive were naturally the Nightingales and Shadow Blades, the professions with high agility, and as they were still in midair, they spotted Fang Hong below—

Fang Hong was looking up at these people.

He wore an unmarked coat, held no extra weapons in hand, and with the Magic Guided Reactor hidden behind him, the people on the Oxin Silver Flame hadn’t figured out his profession yet. Then they saw his raised left hand, and the glove on it.

The glove, covered with mechanical components, looked somewhat unique—

And in the entire Eteliria, only one kind of profession used them.

Fang Hong turned his head back and spoke to Miss Natural Historian:

”Dispel the illusion.”

His voice was not loud.

Ten black constructs revealed themselves behind him; they had slender figures, and red glimmers shone from beneath pointed hats as they knelt, one knee bent, with mechanical arms cradling long Magic Guided Guns.

The dark muzzles pointed toward the airborne targets.

”What are those...?”

The people were momentarily stunned.

They already knew there was a Combat Artisan on board. But the advantage of a Combat Artisan lay in fighting outnumbered and excellent scouting abilities. Having more numbers was obviously on their side too, and a little over Level 20 Combat Artisan didn’t have any particularly outstanding flexible constructs to show.

In terms of scouting ability, with the Wind Detector on the Sky Sea, the scale of battlefield investigation obviously exceeded the limits of ordinary Combat Artisans; at least a Combat Artisan at a bit over Level 20 had no chance of competing with a large Elemental Detector.

Generally, Combat Artisans were considered strong in Sky Sea battles, but this applied to those with high enough levels who could control Pseudo Dragon Knights, not referring to some guy who’d just graduated from the rookie phase.

But the problem was, what model were the constructs in front of them?

Seeing the Magic Guided Guns in the hands of the Dragon Hunters, the Nightingales in midair already had an ominous feeling. Most of them were veterans and instinctively made evasive maneuvers.

Fang Hong waved his hand: ”Open fire.”

The Dragon Hunters knelt with one knee to the ground, shouldering their guns, and pulled the triggers in unison. Golden flames erupted from the dark muzzles like ten strands of golden thread, interweaving with the Nightingales from the Oxin Silver Flame in midair.

The Nightingales released the ropes simultaneously to dodge this shot, but their Balance Values and Evasion Values had already significantly dropped midair. Then they saw the Dragon Hunters pull the mechanism on the Magic Guided Gun, ejecting the smoking casings that danced to the ground, rotating the gun chamber, and raising the gun again.

”Holy shit!”

This was the unanimous thought shared among the Nightingales—this thing could fire repeatedly!

They could only instinctively raise their dual blades, attempting to block this shot. The Block Value of an Agility System profession wasn’t high, but at a bit over Level 20, being a flexible construct and with repeat shooting, the damage shouldn’t be too high, right?

With this thinking, they saw a golden flame flash through the sky, exploding into a dazzling burst of light. The Nightingales widened their eyes, yet before they could utter a single ”MMP,” they were already shaken by the Dragon Hunters’ terrifying Attack Power.

The Block Value was instantly nullified, flinging their blades from their hands; the lead bullets continued forward, penetrating the trifling Armor Value of the Agility System profession, piercing their bodies, shattering bones, passing through their organs, and sending a blood mist spurting forth.

Only a few managed to narrowly escape this strike, but Fang Hong didn’t give them much opportunity, letting the Dragon Hunters empty the remaining four rounds of ammunition in one breath, turning those mid-air guys into sieves and bringing a round of firepower coverage to the Oxin Silver Flame.

As a giant Magic Guided Gun dedicated to constructs, the Empire’s Type-11 was much more effective than the toothpicks the Gunslingers on the Oxin Silver Flame used; otherwise, it wouldn’t have such outrageously high Attack Power. This round of shooting almost silenced the opposite side, leaving them too stunned to retaliate for quite some time.
