Pillar of Yita

The Half-Person replied matter-of-factly: ”That’s different.”

That indeed is different.

If you can choose to earn from both sides, why take only one?

The people from the Thief Brotherhood are all truly talented.

Yet, despite the relaxed appearance, Alphonse’s earlier words still filled Fang Hong’s heart with deep concern.

He was just looking ahead, and couldn’t see the blazing lights of Quistack yet, thus the worry wasn’t visible on his face.

At this moment, on the other end of the small boat, Luo Hao was walking over—this fat fellow from the army had been pondering something alone since earlier, and only then did he approach Fang Hong, speaking:

”Ade, I suddenly remembered something.”

Fang Hong was looking at him.

And just at that moment, the cabin door creaked open, and Gita appeared with a worried expression, speaking to them: ”Brother Ade, Miss Affia’s condition seems a bit off, Great God Ye Hua asked you to come down and have a look.”

Fang Hong then remembered there was another commission concerning the King of Sand Barbaltan on the ship, yet he couldn’t help but doubt whether, upon reaching Quistack, the condition there really would allow treatment for Miss Arcanist?

With this thought, he still went down to the cabin. The cabin on the small boat was merely a narrow space, previously filled with some supplies, but to reach Quistack faster, it had already been cleared out, leaving only a makeshift bed. Ye Hua and a group of the King of Sand’s royal physicians were stationed there, Miss Affia lay on the bed, and a dim Wind Lantern hung on one side of the cabin wall, in the flickering light, her condition seemed worse than before.

The royal physicians were quietly discussing Affia’s condition, and from their tone, it was clear the situation was far from optimistic. Fang Hong bypassed them, reached Miss Arcanist’s side, and touched her forehead, it was scarily hot.

He raised his head, meeting Ye Hua’s gaze.

This former Chairman of the Southern Alliance was naturally no healer, yet at this moment there was a different gleam in his eyes, he lowered his voice and spoke to Fang Hong: ”This isn’t the effect of any poison, Ade.”

”What?”

”There are Ether fluctuations in her body, very intense, even I felt them just now,” Ye Hua glanced at the nearby physicians, speaking even more softly, ”That aura seems familiar, exactly like it did in the hall before.”

Fang Hong was slightly startled, exactly like it did in the hall before, doesn’t that mean...

Blind God Dika.

He looked at Affia, suddenly realizing, the Blind Followers brought Miss Arcanist along perhaps precisely for this purpose. Or they incited the King of Sand to execute this plan to revive the Queen, simply to create such a vessel.

And the Crystal in the Phantom Sea had already been shattered by him, with at least a third of the power absorbed by Nini, the remaining majority entered Affia’s body? In other words, the Blind Followers’ plan, although seemingly failed, perhaps it was at least half successful?

But what about the remaining half, Affia doesn’t seem to have truly become the vessel for Blind God Dika’s resurrection, rather she is in such a half-dead state.

What should they do now?

Taking Affia to Quistack for treatment seems anything but a viable option now.

He couldn’t help but look at Ye Hua, who had Gita call him down, certainly not just to inform him of this matter. As expected, the Ranger King spoke: ”There are two choices now.”

”She absorbed the power from the Crystal, her condition is unclear, you and I both know, the Blind Followers aim to resurrect Blind God Dika, so the power within her body is very likely related to that. Thus, taking her to Quistack now might be an unstable factor, or perhaps a ticking bomb.”

”A simple way is to give up now, her condition is already very poor, if you abandon treatment, she might not endure to Quistack before she passes. This way, the King of Sand Barbaltan can’t blame it on you, after all, you’ve already tried your best.”

Upon listening, Fang Hong couldn’t help but glance at Affia on the bed. But he remained silent for a moment, instinctively resisting this choice, although it might be safer and more prudent, and as Ye Hua said, the King of Sand Barbaltan would have no complaints, the girl before him helped them so much in Bain, as friends, he was unwilling to make this choice.

Furthermore, she was his first native fan in this world.

”What’s the second?” he asked quietly.

Ye Hua looked at him, smiled: ”I knew you would ask this, but the second way is actually uncertain, you came to the Phantom Sea, I guess you must have met Rand and the Alchemist? They are well aware of the Blind Followers’ tricks, Miss Arcanist’s situation should be consulted, they might have solutions.”

Fang Hong fell silent, this method could be essentially a non-method, after all, Great God Ye Hua’s mention was just a possibility, what if they also don’t know?

However, after pondering for a moment, he still decided to trust this possibility.

”Then we choose the second way.”

Ye Hua smiled slightly: ”Right now you are the Captain, the Captain’s word is law.”
