Pillar of Yita

”And the silver ship will set off from here, connecting to that brand new world. That is her envisioned tomorrow, and the adventure she longs for.”

”I don’t want my sister,” Princess Rupert’s voice dropped: ”Affia, to live in a future filled with shadows.”

Fang Hong quietly listened to these words.

The others also remained silent.

He understood that the Grand Princess was speaking of Affia, but it was also about herself.

For she too was the blood of the King of Sand and the Queen.

But as an elder sister, he saw something called determination in the Grand Princess, just like her mother.

But does the King of Sand truly not love his daughters? If it weren’t so, he perhaps wouldn’t have fallen into this large trap. The king constantly haunted by past nightmares cannot escape the grief for what happened ten years ago, hence cannot judge as correctly as he did in his youth—

Yet he never failed his children.

Fang Hong subconsciously thought of the Star Ceremony celebration.

During the celebration, the words King Barbaltan said to his eldest son.

He may not be a good king anymore, but he certainly is a good father.

But after hearing these words from the Princess, Fang Hong momentarily didn’t know how to speak. Delan entrusted him to rebuild the bridge between the Princess and her father. It might not sound difficult—yet when the time came, he found himself, an outsider, lacking the means to reconstruct the relationship between them.

He thought it was merely a misunderstanding, but it seems far from simple misunderstanding.

The Blind Followers might see more clearly than he does, so they intervened here.

After saying these words, the Princess turned away and slowly picked up the Crystal from the table, then returned it to them.

After a pause, she finally spoke: ”I cannot leave Kashan Palace, because if I do, Achilles and those behind him will become alert. I’m afraid it would end up being counterproductive, leading to the worst scenario unfolding prematurely.”

Princess Rupert gently exhaled: ”But you say I’m the only one who can persuade my father to have a change of heart, which isn’t quite so. There is another person who can do the same... You take Affia, my sister, let her find my father. Perhaps only she can persuade that man and make him reconsider...”

”And that girl, in fact, I’ve already sent someone to investigate, she’s no longer inside Kashan Palace, possibly taken by the Blind Followers, maybe even in my father’s quarters. If you’re looking for someone, you could bring her back as well.”

”By the way,” she suddenly spoke again: ”Apologize to her for me. She knows nothing of this, I shouldn’t have involved her, resulting in such things happening.”

Fang Hong stood dumbfounded holding the Crystal, momentarily stunned.

Regarding Affia’s matter, he was already somewhat prepared; the Blind Followers took Affia, naturally they wouldn’t leave her in Kashan Palace.

With Achilles interfering, to switch her out of the palace unnoticed is not difficult. Realizing this, perhaps the Princess wasn’t too suspicious, believing their words.

But...

”Princess?” He was still somewhat unable to comprehend.

But Princess Rupert quietly said:

”He is my father, Mr. Ade.”

”And I want him to survive.”
