Pillar of Yita

Princess Rupert looked at the latter with a touch of emotion.

But during the conversation, a servant walked in from outside, bowed his head, and said:

”Your Highness, Mr. Achilles has arrived.”

The hall suddenly became quiet.

Saisheer and the people behind, Hilveld and Elisa couldn’t help but exchange glances, but none of them spoke.

Aleph was staring at the pile of intelligence reports on the table, suddenly feeling that his future title as King of Sand seemed somewhat undeserved. Not mentioning the comparison to such a retainer like Saisheer, even compared to his half-sister ’elder sister’, he fell far short.

In fact, in the eyes of the outside world, this Grand Princess was the best candidate to succeed as King of Sand, but his father ultimately chose him—he still didn’t understand why. Could it really be that, as rumors suggested, there was a rift between his father and his ’elder sister’? Yet now it seemed not quite like that.

Feeling the atmosphere around him becoming eerily quiet, Aleph was startled for a moment before lifting his head and realizing something.

He pondered for a moment and suddenly spoke: ”Rupert, how do you plan to deal with ’that person’?”

How to handle ’that person’?

The Grand Princess fell into silence.

For a moment, there was no one speaking around her—neither Aleph nor Saisheer could make a decision for her. And those farther away like Elisa, Hilveld, and others had even less of a say—except Tianlan, whose eyes sparkled with curiosity.

After a long while, the Princess softly answered: ”Let me ask him personally.”

Aleph opened his mouth.

He wanted to say this might not be safe, but after thinking about it, he couldn’t bring himself to say it.

He knew far more than the average person and naturally understood how difficult the choice the other party had to make at this moment was.

...

What slightly surprised Achilles was.

The meeting place was not the agreed-upon main hall.

Because as the servant led the group through the courtyard, he saw the young lady in that sea of pure white flowers.

The person was in full dress, stunningly beautiful, ’Camel Toe’ wasn’t seeing this Princess Ru for the first time, but he was momentarily spellbound. However, he quickly came to his senses, bowed his head, as outside the Forbidden Palace, once in their hands, this Grand Princess might be nothing.

But here, he dared not act recklessly.

Nonetheless, Achilles quickly snapped out of the emotions and scenes before him, feeling a bit of surprise:

”Your Highness, has there been any change to the plan?”

Princess Rupert turned around, looked at him, and gently shook her head.

Achilles breathed a sigh of relief: ”Then please, Your Highness, change into casual clothes quickly, any delay might cost us time.”

But Princess Rupert lowered her long lashes and asked: ”Does Achilles think I don’t look good like this?”

”No,” Achilles hesitated slightly: ”It’s just...”

He vaguely felt that the Grand Princess was slightly different today.

Although she always held him in deep affection, the Princess was someone who distinguished between business and emotions, and would never act like a young girl in such a critical situation.

The Grand Princess raised her eyes and looked at him brightly: ”Achilles, who’s behind you?”

Achilles looked back and said with a bit of surprise: ”It’s ’Camel Toe’ and them, Your Highness, weren’t they summoned by you?”

”I know Mr. ’Camel Toe’, but the people behind you, aren’t they Sand Thieves?”

A slight stir occurred among the crowd.

’Camel Toe’ changed his expression, hurriedly replied: ”Your Highness, they are indeed Sand Thieves. But isn’t Your Highness aware of what kind of men I have under me? They’re just desperados... Naturally, they have the Princess’s assistance, but they need to eat daily nonetheless...”

”Besides these people, where else can I find people? Surely not from Governor Nulman’s knights, does the Princess not know what kind of person the Governor is?”

”Calm down, Mr. ’Camel Toe’,” Princess Rupert soothed: ”Before leaving Kashan Palace, I just wanted to make sure, without any intention of blame.”

Herman finally breathed a sigh of relief, thinking it’s good he didn’t act impulsively.

He reassured: ”Ask whatever you wish, Your Highness.”

But Achilles, on the side, slightly felt something was amiss.

And at that moment, Princess Rupert’s next words landed like a thunderbolt above the two.

”Alright, there was a small incident earlier. Seniman has betrayed us, he informed us, claiming you two were planted by him beside me—”

Achilles jerked, instinctively blurting out: ”That’s impossible!”

But he immediately saw the disappointment in the Princess’s eyes as she looked at him.

He suddenly realized he’d been fooled, wanted to change his words, but it was too late.

The Princess looked at him with a subtle glimmer in her eyes, spoke: ”Achilles, I give you only one chance to return to my side, right now...”

Achilles froze in place.

But a roar had already sounded beside him: ”You Penelope family’s bitch!”

Herman first drew a pistol from his waist, aimed at her, in one hand while shouting to his companions: ”...don’t listen to her nonsense, kill her now, we still have a chance!”
