Pillar of Yita

Wu Di and Liuli Yue, who were better equipped, were at most only slightly behind; the actual outcome between the two would depend on how they performed on the spot.

If he wasn’t mistaken, Red Leaf, Wu Di, and Liuli Yue all had chosen the Immortal Knight School—the most mainstream school among the Invoker’s Combat Artisans at the moment. The skills of the Immortal Knight School mainly enhance a Combat Artisan’s computational power compensation when operating a single Flexible Construct and strengthen their combat capabilities.

This ability allowed Combat Artisans to operate higher-level Flexible Constructs at a lower level; the advantage was obvious, especially at certain key level thresholds, where a Combat Artisan with the abilities of a Construct Lord could operate a Flexible Construct that was even a full rank lower than that of an Immortal Knight’s Flexible Construct.

Take, for example, at the levels nine and ten; an Immortal Knight might start using a Walker III or an Annihilator ahead of time. Those equipped as lavishly as Wu Di and Liuli Yue even skipped levels to use a Shield Bearer or a Fearless One. By contrast, a Construct Lord of about level ten would still be using a Walker II – this advantage was fatal.

Even if a Construct Lord could operate two Walker II units using Mirroring Techniques, they could at best only draw even with an enhanced Walker III or an Annihilator, and even then, it would be hard to gain the upper hand.

Not to mention confronting a Shield Bearer or a Fearless One, even if they weren’t enhanced, they would basically slaughter a Walker II.

Of course, once they crossed the key level thresholds, and there was no rank difference in Flexible Constructs between Construct Lords and Immortal Knights, the advantage would be nonexistent. But how many people would be willing to suffer through these critical points every time?

However, Fang Hong’s situation was somewhat different.

Based on his powerful computational compensation ability, he could barely control a Walker III in combat with Miss Tata’s help at level five, an unimaginable feat for ordinary people.

Now, as the controller’s level has increased and computational power has grown significantly, Fang Hong was actually able to control a Walker III independently. And with the addition of Mirroring Techniques, it was possible for him to dual control Walker III units. In a one vs. two situation, no matter how strengthened the Immortal Knight is, they would only be left out to dry.

Moreover, two Walker IIIs facing a Shield Bearer or a Fearless One are not powerless in battle.

Considering Miss Fairy’s support abilities, the situation became delicate—Fang Hong could barely lower the computational power requirements for a Walker III to sixty percent. With Miss Fairy’s abilities, it could go down to half or even less.

His computational power has now reached 79 points, meaning that after controlling one Walker III, he could still have more than 40 points of computational power remaining.

What does that mean?

It means that with Miss Tata’s help, he could almost precisely meet the control requirements for the third Flexible Construct with Mirroring Techniques.

Of course, Fang Hong had only just managed to create his first Walker III, and he truly didn’t know what it felt like to triple control. However, his conservative estimate was that fighting with all his might, he should have no problem protecting himself against opponents of the strength level of Xiesta and the Lion Paladins.

On the other hand, the Berio has temporarily escaped the storm and Green Dragon Mountain Range seems to be within an arm’s reach.

But in reality, the visible distance above the Cloud Sea is significantly inaccurate, and the Berio does not fly swiftly. According to the old captain, it will take at least one day and one night to reach the shore.

However, since leaving the cloudy and rainy area, the airship’s flight started to stabilize, and the jolting was not as severe. And since it’s drizzly on the deck, everyone lost the interest to go out and enjoy the view, preferring instead to prepare for the upcoming adventure behind closed doors.

The team had already discussed it, and Princess Briana also agreed with their plan to travel by land to Cloud Harbor—the administrative capital of Fenris Isle.

They will wait there for two days for the Berio, and if the Berio doesn’t arrive as scheduled, the team will take another scheduled ship to Golande Harbor.

Although this would not save much time on the journey, it was still more cost-effective than waiting idly for the storm to pass on the Berio, and there would be a wealth of adventurous experiences to be had during the trip.

Fenris Isle is shaped somewhat like a triangle with a missing corner, the missing corner being Fenris Bay, pointing southward, with Cloud Harbor located at its southwestern tip, facing the Northern Continent (Aquen) from afar.

If Green Dragon Mountain Range is considered as the base of this triangle, then the triangle flattens out more to the south, with Golden Bay situated at the tip of the northeastern corner.

The road from Golden Bay to Cloud Harbor is basically the same as crossing Fenris Isle, so necessary preparations are indispensable.

Luo Yu and the other two Trainees have been practicing real combat with Mr. Big Cat over the past two days. Sometimes it’s Luo Yu alone, and sometimes Tianlan and Gita join in.

Tianlan naturally uses the Magic Guided Harp Kane’s Anointment that Fang Hong gave her. After their journey to Dolifen, this little lady has also leveled up. Indeed, all three Trainees have ’maxed out’ after this adventure. Besides her original songs, she has learned one or two more that could support the team in combat.

Gita uses a Non-Attribute Magic Guided Gun for combat. Yes, it’s the ancient model that Fang Hong first used—the production of the Model 7 Magic Guided Gun was not insignificant, but most of them were later discarded and ended up in civilian hands, becoming essential items on merchant and cargo ships. There happened to be some aboard the Berio, which Tianlan purchased at very low prices in bulk.
