Pillar of Yita

The girl was simply watching him quietly, and said, ”The Phantom Realm of Dolifen will eventually dissipate, but you should feel joy instead of dismay; because that day will mark the moment of redemption for everyone in this city, for us.”

”Because we will eventually leave, but do not be sad, memories will forever exist in each person’s heart, turning into the Eternal. When that moment comes, Hudi, I will go to where I should be, but at least, there will be it to take my place and accompany you—”

Hudi was slightly taken aback and looked up, only to see an elegant black cat standing behind the girl, tilting its head and looking at him with bright eyes.

”Miss Spoon!”

His heart shook violently, and he finally remembered what that uncomfortable feeling in his heart was all about.

It was as if an invisible force was lingering in his thoughts, making him forget many things, even the sole witness of his and the girl’s encounter— and it was only now that he fully awakened.

Seeing his expression, the girl smiled faintly, reaching out her hand as if wanting to grasp his, but like a mirage, the shadow inevitably passed through his hand. She could only sigh slightly as she watched this scene.

”This was our covenant. Hudi, learn to be brave. Eteliria is vast, while Dolifen is small; your journey has just begun. We have promised to see this world together, so wherever you go in the future, always remember that I will be somewhere silently praying for you—”

Hudi turned his head sharply.

And behind him, ’Hes’ at this moment had her face change color and screamed, ”When did you sneak around and do these things, this cat— this is that damn woman’s thing!”

She looked at the girl in shock: ”You actually conspired with her in secret, don’t forget we are one!”

But the girl gently shook her head: ”I have never been one with you, the power of Dragon’s Golden Eyes is the essence of evil from the Dark Giant Dragon. From the moment I passed the Covenant Ring to Miss Misu, I had already come to the realization— you have destroyed Dolifen, destroyed everything here.”

She lifted her head and said softly, ”Would I still want to sink into depravity with you?”

”You—” ’Hes’ looked at Hudi, then back at the girl, as if realizing that her exposure was inevitable, she finally roared deeply, ”It shouldn’t be like this, I clearly had control of the Phantom Realm of Dolifen, I controlled this chess game, you are merely pawns within this game—”

”Indeed, that was the case,” the girl responded, ”but you made one mistake.”

She looked at Hudi.

”Someone gave me courage, made me determined to put an end to all of this.”

”End,” ’Hes’ scoffed, ”Do you and that woman still not understand the situation, who holds the advantage in this Phantom Realm now? Look at you, what can you do other than influence that weak and incompetent young man?”

”But here, you also cannot use your full power, Dragon’s Golden Eyes,” the girl replied.

”True,” Hes shook her head, ”but do you think I would put all my hope in one person?”

No sooner had she spoken,

the Papalarians couldn’t help but scream, ”Be careful!”

Diket turned around and saw that a Dragon Worshipper had leaped past him and lunged at Hudi. Without thinking, he raised his longsword to block.
