Pillar of Yita

”Thanks to Ade’s help,” Luo Yu replied modestly, turning to nod in Fang Hong’s direction.

Fang Hong wrung out the water from his clothes, wiped his face and hair with a towel, and nodded back at the two as a gesture.

His preconceived plan was for Luo Yu to temporarily become the team’s Defender, yet being able to block an attack from a Level 10 character didn’t mean he’d reached the strength of a Level 10 Invoker.

It just meant he had reached a defensive capability comparable to that of a Level 10 Invoker, but his offensive power was almost non-existent, which roughly equated to half a Level 10 Invoker.

That was essentially the limit of what he could help Luo Yu and the other Trainees achieve; their levels and skills didn’t permit any further progress.

For the time being, however, it was enough.

As for himself, he was only nearing Level 10.

His experiences from his last several adventures had been quite astonishing, leveling up from Level 3 to 8 in just a month, which to outsiders seemed almost like a tall tale.

Even for those geniuses new to the top Guilds, achieving this within six months was an arduous task.

Yet Fang Hong lacked such self-awareness.

Although he knew his experiences were outrageous, he still felt his strength was increasing too slowly.

Whether it was the matters concerning the Jiefu Squr EliteScrIte Red Cloak Team, the Silver Forest Spear, the Dragonfire Guild, or the truth behind the death of Miss Atira’s brother and the Dark Giant Dragon; all gave him a subtle sense of urgency.

Not to mention the huge entity behind him— the military, which was currently pursuing him.

Fang Hong had this thought in secret— if he demonstrated enough strength, would the military consider collaborating with him instead of forcibly stripping his identity?

There was historical precedence for such a thing, though it was from a distant past, Fang Hong remembered it well.

He just wasn’t sure how strong was strong enough.

Anyway, he thought a mere Level 8 newcomer would definitely not suffice, so he relentlessly strove to advance further, and even his limited experiences needed to be honed on the edge of a blade.

In Fang Hong’s view, Combat Artisans had many schools, but a flexible combat style was the essence.

Yet this powerful profession had one fatal flaw— the inability to become Dragon Knights.

Indeed, as the first Combat Artisan among the Chosen, the aging Executioner Loofah, who ranked first among Combat Artisans, had personally admitted to being relatively powerless in high-end combat.

For this reason, the opponent had been unable to top the ranks of the Chosen or even make it into the top five.

But Fang Hong was different—

What was the insurmountable obstacle for other Combat Artisans stood as a clear path before him from the very start.

As perhaps the only craftsman-type Dragon Knight in this world, this was the source of all Fang Hong’s confidence; with the Fairy System, he could walk this path to its limit.

Thus, he had charted his course from the beginning.

With the aid of the Fairy System, he would take the style of outnumbering his enemies to the extreme.

Fang Hong looked at his hand as if through the reflection of the Control Gauntlets’ bronze shell, he could already see a future filled with countless Flexible Constructs dancing through the air.

He gently squeezed his right hand, murmuring to himself:

”Just give me a little more time...”
