Pillar of Yita

The others were still immersed in the conversation between the two, but at this time, it was only Luo Yu who spoke up, ”Haven’t we gone off-topic? Miss Atira is still here, didn’t we come because of the Dragon Worshippers? What do all these things you’re talking about have to do with the Dragon Worshippers?”

But before Gita could answer, Fang Hong spoke up for her.

”Perhaps there really is a connection—”

Fang Hong remembered what Chris had told him earlier. He turned to look at the latter, who was also looking at him, and Fang Hong nodded at him: ”You tell them, Chris.”

Chris immediately replied, ”Certainly, m’lord.” He then looked at the others. ”Ladies and gentlemen, what Miss Gita mentioned was indeed the previous situation in Dolifen, but actually, the place might be quite different from what you imagine now.”

”For example?”

”In the past, Phantom occurrences in Dolifen City did indeed happen roughly once every three months, but now it’s far from that. I remember that was about two months ago, not long after the midsummer festival, a group of Adventurers came to my father’s lumberyard, and from them, I heard about an affair, where a squad took away three items from Dolifen. Of course, there was nothing strange about that, because such incidents happen three or four times a year here, and with each reenactment of the three items, there would be some lucky ones born. But strangely, not long after that, rumors came again, and Adventurers had taken new three items from Dolifen.”

”How long after that?” Luo Yu furrowed his brows, unable to refrain from asking.

”If I remember correctly, it was after half a month,” Chris answered. ”But considering the delay in news, I personally estimate it was just over a week. In fact, since then, the frequency of Phantoms occurrences in Dolifen has been basically once a week, later even every two to three days. Adventurers came from all over upon hearing the news, just to grab a share of this bonanza.”

”How come I’ve never heard of this?” Parker couldn’t help but ask, ”We were also in Elpaxin at the time, how did we miss such a good thing?”

”Shut up, Parker,” Tianlan replied irritably, and simultaneously looked at Atira carefully: ”At that time... at that time, Sister Atira... no, we were busy with something else, who had the mood to care about other things?”

She carefully avoided mentioning those key words, for fear of evoking sad memories in Atira.

But the Elf Girl, with her keenness, had already understood the young girl’s thoughts and just looked at her tenderly.

”Could you not interrupt,” Luo Yu rarely took the initiative to say something and then continued to inquire, ”And after that?”

”After that, a group of mysterious men arrived, they sealed the main passages to Dolifen, and drove all Adventurers out. There were also a few large-scale conflicts afterward, I’m not too clear on the final outcome, but after that, indeed, not many Adventurers have been seen in this region—”

”A group of mysterious men?”

”What kind of people?” Atira suddenly shifted her gaze to the young man.

”I’m not too sure, but it seems they’re not your people...” Chris hesitated before he replied.

”Not our people?” Tianlan was momentarily stunned before she realized, if they were not their people, it meant— they were not Chosen.

That was interesting—

Everyone’s gaze turned toward Atira and Fang Hong.

”Are they still in Dolifen, those people?”

Atira spoke up.
