Pillar of Yita

Indeed, Combat Artisans might learn some combat skills, but putting it simply, they could entirely forego ”skills” and focus solely on ”ordinary attacks.”

What skills could a Level 5 character possibly possess? Nothing beyond ”strength enhancement” and ”agility burst,” which are only effective on constructs like Walkers and the Fearless One in close combat.

However, the combat strategy Fang Hong had designed for Luo Yu involved transforming a Clockwork Fairy into something akin to the Annihilator’s Shining Field, turning it into a Floating Shield. This shield didn’t require any skills—only Ether Knowledge and Magic Guided Knowledge were needed for control. If Luo Yu could proficiently manage one, he could effectively protect those behind him like Tianlan, Gita, and even archers like Parker.

If he could control more than two, then before the crystal overheated or the magic power was depleted, he would be considered an excellent protector in the team at levels below 5. And it wasn’t an impossible task— handling multiple controls by himself could be tricky, but one mustn’t forget that there was a capable ”Fairy Master” present.

But this might not necessarily be a good thing for Luo Yu.

”Fairy abilities don’t really benefit a Combat Artisan’s control over Flexible Constructs, they might even be harmful,” thus Fang Hong warned him. ”That’s why I insisted that you use the old-fashioned Control Gloves to manipulate the Clockwork Fairy. This technique was also taught to me by the artisans during my time at Kapuka, indeed, load-bearing training is crucial for controlling Flexible Constructs—”

”But you shouldn’t worry too much; after all, fairy abilities are only utilized during combat. Normally, some coordination training suffices, and the majority of the time, it’s essential to practice on your own, so the impact isn’t too severe.”

Luo Yu nodded after listening, ”I understand.”

Fang Hong also nodded. One of his plans was to use the special abilities of Alpha Crystal to grant Tianlan, Luo Yu, and Gita powers close to those of an Invoker. It was a shortcut with immediate effects, but it was just a temporary solution; in the long run, it was impossible for the three to continue on this path.

Not to mention, the limitation of levels in the Trainee system was an insurmountable barrier.

Therefore, he still needed to remind them, lest they rely too much on this system. Their real future direction should ultimately be the Trainee assessment, aiming to become true Invokers.

The two were silent for a moment.

Suddenly, Luo Yu asked, ”Mr. Ade, I heard that when a Fairy Master controls a Fairy Construct, they can’t divert their attention to control Flexible Constructs. Isn’t using fairies to assist us less efficient than fighting on your own?”

”Normally that’s true, but I might be somewhat special, so you don’t need to worry about that,” he said, unable to resist glancing down at the doll girl in his hands.

Just at that moment, Miss Fairy also looked up, her emerald eyes, framed by Mithril Thread-woven hair, gazing steadily at him. Fang Hong raised his hand to tidy her hair at her forehead.

”Thank you, Mr. Knight.”

Miss Tata reached out her small hand to grasp his finger, speaking inwardly.

Fang Hong felt a certain emotion in his heart, realizing he was not just a bit special, in fact, he might be the only Fairy Dragon Knight in Eteliria.

But some things didn’t need to be stated so clearly.

He still remembered, at the inn that day, after everyone had left, he asked Hilveld why she took the initiative to help him conceal the matter of the Dragon Soul. He had not intended to hide it from Miss Atira and others; in his view, Tianlan, Luo Yu, and Reed were perfectly capable of keeping secrets, and a team should fully trust each other.

”What about Mr. Parker?” Hilveld blinked her beautiful eyes and asked with a pleasant voice.

”Parker... he’s not bad by nature,”

”This has nothing to do with being inherently bad or not, you should understand this, Mr. Ade. A secret is often called a secret because sometimes it involves complicated interests, a slip of the tongue can sometimes cause trouble, but if you haven’t told Mr. Parker, then he is unaware of such risks.”

”When sharing a secret, one is also sharing the risk. For someone in a leadership position, sometimes keeping a secret in your heart is also a responsibility, and when you think you can disclose it, you must be fully aware that you have sufficient capacity.”

She looked at him, and slight smile said, ”As for when the right time comes, I believe Mr. Ade, being such an outstanding person, should know it better than Hilveld and does not need her to speak up.”

Her words changed his perspective.

The secrets within Elf Ruins, even letting the Rainbow Alliance and Descendants of Flor ignite a sprawling war lasting through the entire stretch of long summer. In this war, entities like Silver Shadow, Jiefulite Red Cloak Team, Miya, and he, or Morning Dawn Star, were merely pieces caught in the play.

To this day, he still couldn’t be sure if the Hailin Crown was indeed the key to this puzzle, and according to what he learned in the community, Jiefulite Red Cloak Team might still be looking for him and Miya, along with the other survivors of Morning Dawn Star.

Such a secret, indeed carrying massive implications, he felt somewhat irresponsible for mentioning it rashly.
