Pillar of Yita

”Who dares to take away the person you were looking for before you could, quite an air about you, human boy,” Rosetta said nonchalantly, expertly imitating his tone. ”Guess who, Briana Karanshir Miaoxing, how about it, want to go trouble this lady?”

”Princess Miaoxing?” Sir Agar’s expression changed, and he suddenly looked rather unpleasant.

In this city, his family was considered respectable.

But in front of the daughter of the Avenquin Elf King, one of the seven heroes of the Battle of Bain, the legendary ranger Princess Briana, that really didn’t count for much.

Not to mention him, even the current King of Colin, faced with Her Highness the Princess, could hardly maintain the stature of The Supreme.

...

Fang Hong walked among the Elf Guards, while Reed and the Papalarians had already excused themselves and left early, since Princess Miaoxing only named Fang Hong. The two of them—or rather, a lion and a man—didn’t worry that the legendary hero of Colin Ishurian, an Elf Princess, would bring any harm to Fang Hong.

Fang Hong looked around somewhat awkwardly, surrounded by Avenquin Elves in their splendid Elf Silver Chainmail, nearly uniform in height, with their invariably pointy ears, all exceptionally handsome.

This race was like the descendants of deities from legends, flawless, long-lived, albeit a bit aloof and prone to keeping a stern countenance.

In this respect, the Forest Elves were entirely different; at least Miss Atira seemed more like a real, living person—gentle, generous, strong, and compassionate.

Compared to the legendary princess’s aloofness and grace, he still preferred Miss Elf, who seemed closer to real life.

Just as Fang Hong was involuntarily comparing Briana with Atira in his mind, the Elf Princess suddenly turned back, looking at him a bit amused: ”What is Mr. Ade looking at, do you think we’re really as cold and detached as the rumors say?”

”Ah?” Fang Hong was startled, feeling guilty as if his thoughts were caught red-handed, almost thinking the legendary Elf Princess could read minds, shaking his head repeatedly: ”Not at all!”

Briana simply smiled unconcernedly and said nothing else.

Fang Hong sighed in relief, yet curiosity overwhelmed him, spurred by her initiative, he finally voiced the question that had long puzzled him: ”Princess Miaoxing, how did you come to know me?”

Briana looked at him very surprised, as if remembering something, her aloof demeanor melting away to reveal a barely suppressed amused smile: ”Does Mr. Ade not know?”

How would I know? Fang Hong thought to himself, baffled, shaking his head.

”Then it’s better to let that person tell you the answer himself.” She replied.

”That person?” Fang Hong was stunned. ”Is it Mr. Kurufen? But I didn’t know Mr. Kurufen before this either?”

”Kurufen?” Briana feigned surprise as she looked at him: ”Of course not, what made you think of him?”

”Ah?” Fang Hong was taken aback: ”Not Mr. Kurufen, but Chairman Rosetta just—”

”What about Chairman Rosetta? He said nothing, did he?” The Elf Princess slowly blinked her eyes, a hint of mischief lurking within: ”If you really want to meet Kurufen, I’ll take you to him when the opportunity arises, but not now. The person you need to meet now is someone else.”

Fang Hong’s mouth hung open, unable to close for a long time. He then understood—apparently the daughter of the Elf King, the legendary hero of the Battle of Bain, the Ranger Princess, was also very adept at deceiving people.

No, in fact, it was all him and the Dwarf Chairman talking amongst themselves while she had never admitted to it from the start.

He looked at Her Highness the Princess, momentarily at a loss for words.

Briana, however, was unconcerned and even seemed a bit pleased: ”Well, do you feel a bit disillusioned? It’s all just Colin Royal Household propaganda, and Roban that silly boy who also keeps up my reputation—who I’ve always been like this. Initially, I tricked him into falling back and he nearly lost his life.”

As she spoke, she couldn’t help but purse her lips in a smile, but her bright eyes were full of affection.

Fang Hong blinked, finally realizing something—the rumors on the forum were true, Princess Miaoxing really did have a fondness for that human boy Roban.

The protagonist’s halo is indeed deeply rooted in people’s hearts.

He couldn’t help but wonder.

However, after a while, Fang Hong regained his senses and couldn’t help but ask again, ”Who exactly wants to meet me, Princess Miaoxing?”

”Why not guess?”

As Briana spoke, she stopped and looked toward the distance.

Fang Hong instinctively followed the gaze of the Elf Princess and saw a master and servant quietly waiting at a Magic Guided Rail Car station by the street.

The gentle afternoon sunlight just managed to surpass the huge shadow of the Artisan Association.

It made the young girl’s white dress and golden braids shimmer as she looked at Fang Hong, tilted her head slightly, and greeted him with a subtle smile while holding a huge leather suitcase:

”Good afternoon, Mr. Ade.”

”We meet again.”

”Mi, Miss Hilveld?”

Fang Hong involuntarily turned his head back to look at Princess Briana.

But the Elf Princess was looking at Hilveld, smiling at her, ”I did bring your little lover out as promised, don’t forget what you agreed to.”

The young girl, after hearing this nickname, did not object but instead chuckled and nodded her head, ”Of course, leave it to me, Your Highness.”

”Wait, what are you guys...?”

Briana then turned back, winked at him, ”You still don’t get it? It’s simple, you’ve just been sold for a good price, kiddo.”

Fang Hong stared blankly at both of them.

The Elf Princess couldn’t help but chuckle, ”But you’re not at a loss, after all, someone as beautiful as Hilveld is rare even among my people.”

”Alright,” she waved her hand. ”Se’randu—Aduri, have fun.”

Fang Hong was about to say something.

But at that moment, a series of tinkling bells rang in the distance, a railcar in the sky glided along the silver tracks, slowed down, and stopped within the station, then the bell turned into a long steam whistle—

At that time, Hilveld stepped forward, grabbed his hand—a gentle touch—and said to him, ”Mr. Ade, remember what you said—I’ll take you to a place.”

”Wait, but?”

”There’s no time.”

At the other end of the street, a group of silver knights had already appeared.

Hilveld had already grabbed his hand and pulled him along, rushing onto the nearby Magic Guided Rail Car. Xiesta was already waiting in the car, dashed into the control room, and pressed down on a lever.

The train immediately let out another long steam whistle, then paused slightly and slowly started moving forward.

Fang Hong finally recognized the identities of those knights in the distance: ”The Silverwind Knights, why have they come?” He still recognized this renowned organization from Elpaxin.
