Pillar of Yita

Lady Aisha at his side clenched her fists as well, her eyes reddening, almost on the verge of tears.

The roaming photographer couldn’t help but feel slightly uneasy as he glanced around, adjusting the angle of his filming system. He saw that the number of people in his livestream had multiplied several times over the usual count, thanks to the official channeling.

However, most of the audience was asking what had happened—although not many were familiar with the Continental League, they at least knew that the Colin Ishurian team represented the China Competition Region, but the current situation seemed a bit off.

The audience from Elpaxin was gloomy, while the representatives from the Ancient Tower Knight Nation nearby had smug smiles on their faces. As for the stands below, the leaders of the Elpaxin Artisan Association were once again having a dispute with the organizers from the Ancient Tower Knight Nation.

The sound of fierce arguments even reached the stands above.

”What’s going on?” asked the roaming photographer, unable to help himself.

The elderly Dwarf lady rubbed her reddened eyes and said angrily, ”The team from the Kapuka Artisan Association encountered a storm while on their airship. By the rules, we should be able to adjust the timing of the match, but the people from the Ancient Tower are not agreeing. They only allow us to move the Kapuka Artisan Association’s match to the last slot.”

The roaming photographer knew that encountering sudden storms over the Sky Sea was completely unpredictable. No one dared to traverse the turbulent cloud layers lightly, not to mention the potential lightning and thunderstorms. It was quite normal for ships to stop and wait for the storms to pass.

”If it’s a rule, why ask for their opinion?” he asked, not quite understanding.

”Because it’s just a customary rule,” Lady Aisha replied somewhat sheepishly, but her voice grew angry again: ”It’s a tacit agreement within the Alchemy Realm. At least, people do not wish to see the competition influenced by factors beyond the player’s own performance. These things happen often. Just in the last round, we accommodated the team ranked third from the Ancient Tower People, and to think they could be so despicable to quibble like this.”

She was so angry that she gritted her teeth.

The roaming photographer also frowned: ”What happens if they are overdue?”

”If they are overdue, it’s considered a forfeiture. If the Ancient Tower People don’t press the issue, they can still participate in the next round. If they do press it, they can’t participate in any later matches. Even if it’s not pressed, missing one round of points virtually means saying goodbye to the top five,” she said.

Only then did the roaming photographer realize the seriousness of the situation. He had done his homework before; the three strongest teams from the Colin Ishurian competition regions were indeed the Colin Ishurian Artisan Association, Elpaxin Artisan Association, and Kapuka Artisan Association.

In past years, these three teams had also consistently represented Colin Ishurian in the battles against the Osh Empire, and each team had won the championship of the Continental League at different times.

Now the Elpaxin Artisan Association was virtually out of hope for advancing, and if the team from the Kapuka Artisan Association also forfeit, then this year the Colin Kingdom might only have two teams appearing in the finals in the Osh Empire.

The words of the Dwarf lady also caused an uproar in the livestream, and it must be said that the domestic viewers still held some sense of justice and hated betrayal the most. Since the people of Colin Ishurian had accommodated the team ranked third from the Ancient Tower People in the last round, the audience naturally expected that it should be reciprocated in this round’s match. However, the sudden betrayal by the opposition incensed the viewers.

The viewers in the livestream cursed and berated fiercely, and the roaming photographer watched, only managing a bitter smile, not daring to comment. The Ancient Tower Knight Nation also had Invoker forces, apart from the Descendants of Flor, the largest Invoker force was actually the South Koreans.

And the performance of South Koreans in international competitions was something the roaming photographer, although just a scenery livestreamer, was well aware of.

However, there were things that the viewers could say that he could not easily voice, especially since some statements could be politically incorrect if he made them.

So the roaming photographer could only pretend he hadn’t seen anything.
