Pillar of Yita

It was for this reason that the community had come to refer to Explosive Shooting as the basic skill of an Archer—

Once mastered, one was at the threshold of archery.

Fang Hong often saw Miss Capes use Explosive Shooting, but the skill had no flair in her hands; it looked no different from normal shooting. Therefore, he never thought the skill was particularly difficult.

But today, this round of shooting had really opened his eyes.

The first round of Explosive Crossbow Bolts was quickly launched—

A dazzling array of fireworks exploded on either side of the Rock Shark, which hadn’t anticipated the attack and was merely moving forward at a steady pace, making the target almost stationary for professional archers.

Yet, the accuracy of hitting such a stationary target was utterly atrocious.

Firstly, the detonation rate was less than three tiers, and of these, almost all were near misses. Though near misses still caused damage, the damage was calculated based on distance, and when Fang Hong saw the damage figures barely reaching triple digits, he was momentarily speechless.

After all, a direct hit from Explosive Shooting at this level should cause at least five to six hundred armor value damage.

Among everyone, only Parker managed to inflict 127 points of damage. He even danced around proudly, boasting, ”Did you see that, did you see that! My damage is the highest—Papalarians’ Crossbowman Master, Sanxiak’s King of Nightingales!”

Tianlan even praised him, but her compliment did not please Mr. Papalarians because she said, ”Wow, that was lucky!”

”What do you mean, lucky,” Parker hopped angrily, waving his short arms, ”It’s skill, skill, do you understand?”

”Hurry up, hurry up,” Tianlan interrupted him, ”Look over there, that big guy is turning, don’t let it come this way! Quick, quick, shoot it again!”

Parker was speechless and could only fidget with his chubby hands on the Magic Guided Reactor. After the delay device faintly lit up, he finally raised his heavy crossbow and aimed at the Rock Shark in mid-air.

By then, the others were almost ready for the second round of shooting.

But at that moment, Fang Hong walked over and pushed down his heavy crossbow—after all, the Unstable Crystal bolts were quite expensive. He was rather fed up and simply blurted out, ”Three-point-three.”

Everyone was taken aback, and the Papalarians stared with eyes as big as black beans.

”Brother Ade, what did you say?” Tianlan asked.

”Three-point-three settings, that will guarantee a hit!” Parker exclaimed loudly, gesturing with his fingers calculatingly, ”No, no, the Papalarians’ crossbow bolts are all saved up frugally, costing at least one, two, three—three meals’ worth of money for one Explosive Crossbow Bolt!”

And as a professional Papalarians Crossbowman Master, how could he listen to an Alchemist directing him? If word of this got out, it could ruin his reputation in Sanxiak—if he had one.

At that moment, Atira had just leapt down from the top of the beast, looking towards the distance where others had already launched the second round of Explosive Arrows.

But this time, it was even worse.

The Rock Shark had already anticipated the danger and shifted slightly to the side, instantly making all the archers’ attacks miss. The costly Explosive Crossbow Bolts were like fireworks shot into the sky, stunningly beautiful but utterly useless.

Seeing this, Parker’s mouth fell open.

”Shall we, shall we try what Brother Ade suggested?” Tianlan also hesitated: ”What if Brother Ade is luckier?”

This made Fang Hong break out in a cold sweat—what did she mean by ’luckier’?

The Papalarians thought hard and then nobly replied, ”Alright, but if it misses, it’s not the fault of the Papalarians Crossbowman Master. Remember, it has absolutely nothing to do with the Papalarians!”

Only after making this solemn declaration did he raise his heavy crossbow and then awkwardly adjusted the Plugin on the Magic Guided Conductor. But before he could stop, Fang Hong reached out and moved it half a notch.

What was once three-point-three was now uncertain.

”Quick,” Fang Hong pulled back his hand and said to him, ”Now is the time.”

Parker, still skeptical, aimed at the Rock Shark and then pulled the trigger—
