Pillar of Yita

He dragged the Starlight closer with a venting motion, intending to erase it, but as the moment arrived, he hesitated. Deleting it was a simple matter, but it did not mean the problem was truly solved.

”Forget it,” he thought, ”Let’s try it first.”

Fang Hong sighed, no longer in the mood to browse any more forums, and turned off his communication device before rolling out of bed. Miss Fairy was bathing in the silvery moonlight by the window, quietly watching him, and said, ”Have you encountered some trouble, Mr. Knight?”

Fang Hong shook his head.

Telling Miss Fairy about this nonsensical trouble would only invite more annoyance. She might understand Eteliria very well, but Earth was another place altogether, with even more complexity. The relations between Invokers were complicated, not to mention his status as a stowaway.

Seeing that he did not wish to elaborate, Miss Fairy did not pry further. She was in tune with Fang Hong and could completely see those chaotic thoughts in his mind.

She also understood that she could not be of much help—

She simply reminded him quietly, ”When you encounter insoluble troubles, it’s most important to maintain peace of mind, Mr. Knight.”

Fang Hong was startled, then nodded seriously as he came back to his senses, realizing he was getting a bit too agitated. He took a deep breath, lowered his head, and rummaged through the drawer beside his bed for a while, finding a creamy white Crystal. This was an α Crystal he had modified earlier. Apart from those used by Walkers and the Clockwork Fairy, there were three left.

Fang Hong picked up the smallest crystal and checked the impurities inside it in the moonlight. His understanding of Hain-Farm’s design philosophy was continuously deepening, hence the Quality of these crystals was improving. Their appearance and color had changed from wax-like to more crystalline, with the crystal’s performance coming infinitely close to the limit of an F-grade Attribute Crystal.

Of course, that was as far as it went; this was probably the limit for α crystals. As for the next step, he would have to wait until the eyes from the Silver Blaze Forest were cultivated to see if it could be realized.

The Summoners System itself was also a type of Starlight program, much more complex and huge. Even during the Stargate Era, it was a system project driven by many disciplines—without governmental organization and push from behind, replicating the miracles of the past was nearly an impossibility.

However, various small-scale Starlight programs did not require such stringent conditions. Since they often mimicked only one aspect of the Summoners System’s ability, they did not even need the rare Glow Material as a medium and could be loaded with Core Crystals commonly found in Eteliria.

Thus, these small programs were not uncommon among Invokers. For example, the flexible projection system of the Combat Artisan was such a small-scale Starlight program.

The Training System was another type, often used by Grand Guilds to train their Trainees and reserves. These systems ranged from simple to complex, widely circulated to high-end systems kept as commercial secrets.

Without practical use beforehand, Fang Hong could not say which category this small program fell under.

He picked up the crystal and inserted it into the Magic Guided Reactor, then started loading the Starlight program. The crystal ignited instantly, radiating a fluorescing blue glow before emitting a stream of changing rays of light, casting several floating Light Pages in his vision, each page displaying a job classification.

Eteliria had several hundred job domains continually increasing, and naturally, this modest virtual system could not simulate that many features. It had job classifications divided into several major categories according to the habits of Invokers.

Such as melee and ranged, Magic and physical, combat and lifestyle, even faith-based professions.

Among these, only Combat Artisan was categorized separately—a clear indication of the special status of this occupation among Invokers.

Fang Hong opened the test items for Combat Artisan, and a touch of brightness swept before his eyes, as if the universe and the stars were born at that moment. The myriad virtual stars blossomed in his field of Vision, the stars clustering into a misty nebula in front of him. Seeing this familiar object, he was momentarily stunned. Wasn’t this the Artisan System of the Alchemist?

He almost thought he had made a wrong selection, but after testing back and forth several times, he realized that the test system for Combat Artisan indeed was the same.

Fang Hong paused, wondering what was so difficult about it. In his view, although there were a bit more Structural Points within this nebula, only a few hundred at best. Even if they all had to be connected for it to be considered a pass, it was just a matter of time.

He scratched his head, still puzzled about where the other side had found this antiquated and common training system. Nowadays, even the poorest Guild wouldn’t use such an outdated system to cultivate craftsmen, would they?

As Fang Hong thought this, he found the starting point with some doubt, infused his intent into it, and then started guiding the connecting lines. To his surprise, no sooner had the connecting line appeared than a red warning Light Page popped up before him.
