Pillar of Yita

Anesthetic Crystal—

When this crystal is shattered, it releases a paralyzing mist that targets the mind, but the mist is heavy and only effective at low altitudes, so it’s generally used in the final stages.

A plume of purple fog spread near the Rock Shark, but just when everyone thought the battle was all but won, the Rock Shark suddenly emitted a panicked resonance, shaking the entire Forest.

At that moment, Lion Paladin Reed’s sword struck its dorsal fin, nearly cleaving half of it with his nearly level 20 attack power, causing bright red blood to spurt out like a fountain.

In agony, the Rock Shark flipped over violently and rushed forward, escaping the range of the purple mist.

Everyone was stunned by this sudden turn of events, as the Rock Shark’s sudden flip had thrown nearly all the adventurers off its back. At the same time, it finally broke free from the Turbulent Zone, abruptly soaring higher, heading for the skies.

”Don’t let it get high, or we’re all done for!” someone cried out in terror.

What it feels like to have a bomber overhead was something everyone understood all too clearly.

Reed and Atira, who had transformed back into a Paradise Bird, wanted to pursue, but it was already too late. Once the Rock Shark had left the Turbulent Zone, it sped up and soon flew out of the canopy layer, like a giant whale leaping out of a green sea—it was a creature of the sky by nature, not something that Flyer Druids or Lion Paladins, who were mere amateurs, could compare with.

Everyone was helpless, forced to watch as it ascended into the sky.

And when the colossal creature regained its senses, that would spell disaster for them. Humans often hunted Rock Sharks, but the Rock Sharks were top predators of the Sky Sea themselves.

In fact, some had already begun to beat the retreat—

It was then that Fang Hong on the Burden Beast platform came to his senses, he saw the dumbfounded Papalarian Crossbowman beside him, and an idea suddenly flashed in his mind, ”Parker, give me your explosive crossbow bolts.”

”What?”

”Quick, the explosive crossbow bolts.”

”Wait, but even your Walker can’t shoot that far, and that Three-Eyed Gun on it is an old model I have used before, modified from a Colin Ishurian Mark XIII rifle.”

”No matter,” Fang Hong shook his head, took out a small object, and threw it over, saying, ”Stuff this thing full, as many as you can fit. And set the delay fuse to the last notch.”

Parker looked closely and realized it was a copper sphere with a yellowish gleam—an Clockwork Fairy. His mouth agape, he suddenly understood Fang Hong’s mad scheme: ”You’re insane, Clockwork Fairies are expensive!”

”We can’t worry about that now,” Fang Hong replied, ”You don’t want to die, do you?”

After pondering the question, Parker nodded.

”Then hurry, I can’t catch up if it gets any farther—”

The Papalarian stood there, dumbfounded, as he took the Clockwork Fairy and carefully began to fill it with Unstable Crystals, muttering to himself, ”An explosive self-destructing Clockwork Fairy, my god, I’ve never heard of such a thing.”

”No,” Fang Hong shook his head, his eyes firmly on the Rock Shark in mid-air, confidently responding, ”There are records of such tactics, just very few. The Ancient Tower People have attacked the Osh Empire’s fleets this way before—what did they call that kind of Clockwork Fairy again?”

”Right.”

”It’s Fire Giant.”
