Pillar of Yita

The digits on the electronic clock on the glass curtain wall kept passing by.

The military reception area was somewhat different from what Luo Hao had imagined. He had thought it would be dull and extremely lacking in personality and freedom, as if it were in the outdated style of the last century, and the people working here would be a group of discipline-focused ’replicants,’ completely disconnected from society — at least that’s what he thought.

But to his surprise, the decor of the office area was quite bright, with vibrant color blocks in a minimalist modern style, decorated with potted lilies and a poster covering an entire glass curtain wall, featuring Eteliria and various Grand Guilds, along with promotional paintings of star players.

Below, the platforms were laid with secondary merchandise and life-sized cardboard cutouts of star players, much like the offline fan meetings Luo Hao attended with the BBE Guild, only more so.

The person who started escorting him over was not the stern, inflexible staff member he had imagined, but an incredibly affable young lady — and for the first time, Luo Hao thought military uniforms could look so good, shamelessly betraying his original class aesthetic.

These little details subtly made him less nervous, and he couldn’t help but think to himself that in this matter, the military’s work didn’t seem so inefficient.

The military’s Invoker recruitment season had long passed, and he was what people call a ’mid-term entry’ — generally a channel exclusive to talents, though often misused for networking. During the recruitment season, this hall must have been crowded, but now it was utterly deserted except for him.

After looking around curiously, Luo Hao started to feel a bit bored.

Directly in front was a giant projection screen, continuously playing some video information about Eteliria, but the content was quite outdated, all classical battles and scenery, which Luo Hao had seen countless times elsewhere.

He stood there with his suitcase, idly thinking that today there seemed to be a match for the Silver Forest Crown. Although the Silver Forest Crown and BBE were old rivals, he still faithfully supported the China team in international events.

It was said that the All-Seer KUN of the Silver Forest Crown was preparing for retirement, having been spotted in the First World. Top-tier Invokers usually headed to the First World to train new recruits only before their retirement, after which they would gradually withdraw from the public eye and shift to administrative work in their clubs.

This wasn’t good news for the Silver Forest Crown.

As a die-hard fan of BBE, Luo Hao didn’t have much fondness for KUN, but as he watched the star players who once made the China Competition Region shine gradually leave the field and saw no new players capable of carrying the mantle, his heart felt somewhat desolate.

Time waits for no one.

Suddenly, Luo Hao felt an inexplicable sense of mission.

As he was lost in his reflections, the scene on the big screen suddenly changed, showing a somewhat tall and thin man. Luo Hao looked and realized it was an acquaintance — a landscape livestreamer he knew, whose ID was Roaming Horse.

This person traveled around Eteliria as a Tourist, experiencing local cultures, introducing historical stories, and occasionally joining the Adventure Group for a thrilling exploration in the forests. Because of his unique perspective, he had attracted many fans, making him a leading figure among such livestreamers.

Roaming Horse seemed to be adjusting the camera, his characteristic gentle face equipped with round-rimmed glasses, emitting a scholarly aura. It was said that before becoming a livestreamer, he was a professional journalist who, due to his integrity and disagreements with the chief editor on certain issues, resigned in anger and took up the promising career of freelance livestreaming.

Unexpectedly, this led to a flourishing career and today’s achievements.

”Hello, everyone,” Roaming Horse greeted everyone first. ”First, I would like to thank the Super Competitive League and the Elpaxin Artisan Association for giving me this opportunity to conduct this livestreaming mission. Those familiar with my livestreams might have noticed where I am,”

As he spoke, he turned the trailing camera behind him. The view showed a bustling street with a row of shops not far behind — the classical architectural style revealed the place, and Luo Hao even further recognized it as the residential architectural style of Colin Ishurian.

Not to mention the elves looking out of the shops, near a fruit shop filled with rows of Aquen’s specialty Dragon Blood Fruits, red and gold interspersed, and beneath in the boxes were Magic Grapes from Istania.

The discounts of the day were chalked onto a blackboard on the ground nearby, but in Ishurian, not synced with Starlight so, of course, Luo Hao couldn’t understand a word.

The street was paved with distinctive white stone slates, pedestrians bustling in the distance, and the shadow of a Magic Guided Train occasionally swept overhead. Further down the road, classical buildings on both sides draped with colorful festoons created a festive atmosphere.

In the distant view, the sky blended into a Cloud Sea, a floating High Tower.

Luo Hao recognized it immediately; this was Elpaxin. Although Eteliria had hundreds of towns big and small, Elpaxin, as the crowning city of the Northern Territory, Aquen’s largest port city, and the capital of shipbuilding, was very distinctive—
