Rebirth in Another World as the Undead Queen

Naga

Several miners who climbed onto the station received commands in their minds, and then the Skeletons actually walked to the tool cart, took down tool after tool, and prepared to stand by.

”This... This is actually happening!”

Hoda, the lead miner, found it hard to believe. The current situation felt as if his own commands could bypass any interference and go directly into those Skeletons’ consciousness, and the Skeletons seemed to possess his knowledge as well, able to accomplish all kinds of complicated cave operations.

”Are you adapting to it?”

”It’s truly amazing. I can completely control their actions!”

”Although the skills they can master are limited, mining is certainly not a problem.”

”Can I give it a try?”

”Of course.”

With Serea’s permission, hoda controlled a dozen Skeletons to enter the cave. Although he couldn’t see exactly what was happening inside, the sound of ’ding ding dang dang’ soon rang out.

”Quick, go have a look!”

”Alright.”

A dwarf miner entered the cave, and a few seconds later, he rushed out again.

”It’s real! Those Skeletons really are mining!”

”Incredible technique!”

Hoda exclaimed in admiration. At present, over seventy Skeletons were providing labor. Their individual efficiency was similar to the dwarves, but as Undead, they never tired. Calculating it out, the labor force of a single Skeleton was at least equal to three or four dwarves.

It was truly terrifying!

”Afterwards, we’ll trouble you all to use this station to help us mine. Of course, I will pay you.”

”Serea, queen, how could you say that? You recommended our clan’s armorsmith to a master. We should be thanking you, how could we possibly take your money?”

As Hoda finished, Serea smiled in response and handed over a blueprint.

”This is the blueprint I want for the cave.”

Taking the blueprint Serea handed over, hoda showed a puzzled expression after looking at it.

”Forgive me for speaking candidly, but Queen Serea, this blueprint doesn’t maximize the resource extraction in the cave.”

”This way of digging is enough—even if you don’t find more ore, it’s not important.”

”This... Fine, as you wish.”

Since Serea asked, hoda didn’t refuse. He pinned the blueprint to the station and then asked:

”Shall we begin now?”

”Whenever you’re ready.”

Hearing this, hoda rolled up his sleeves.

”Bros, get to work!”

”Alright!”

They unloaded the cave support beams from the cart, then the Skeletons carried the supports into the cave. Under the guidance of the dwarf miners, the Skeletons began to reinforce the cave. But that was just a small part—more of the Skeletons had already started mining.

For a time, the cave turned into a ’Night Ashina Castle,’ and the hammering sounds rang endlessly. Seeing the ’Dragonbone Catacomb’ entering construction, Serea felt a bit relieved in her heart.

Next, she still had to stockpile 1,000 ’Death Crystals,’ which would take some time, but Serea could wait.

”Flosa, you and Eighty stay here, plus I’ll give you 12 Skeleton Warriors. Set up an outpost by the cave as soon as possible.”

”Understood. Leave it to me.”

Flosa accepted the order. Having just finished constructing the Darkmoon clan camp, he was already quite experienced with building, so setting up a simple outpost would be no problem.

After unlocking the ’Skeleton Soldier Station’ for defense, Serea gestured grandly.

”Let’s go, we’re heading back.”

With that, Serea rode Chips and led the way. There were still plenty of things in camp that needed handling.

At this moment, Lola came over.

”Report, My Queen, both Blood Pools at the camp have been completed. Conservative estimates say they can produce Blood Springs equivalent to a ’Blood Well’.”

”That little, huh...”

Serea muttered, but it was still better than nothing. At least with two Blood Pools, manshir and the other Holy Knights could be turned into blood slaves.

So let’s unlock it as soon as possible—let’s go now!

...

Serea’s busy day ended there. Meanwhile, at the bottom of Lake Nos, in a cave, a young girl was laying on her bed.

She activated an image-recording crystal, causing a projected recording to appear. It showed a shy-faced black mermaid girl, dressed differently in various clips, and the more Tethys watched, the more twisted her grin became.

”Eh hehe, hehehe...”

The girl giggled foolishly. When Nora and Little Mo poked their heads out of the water and saw Tethys smirking at the image, nora got chills down her spine.

Could it be... the images of me trying on clothes too...

”Nora, you’re back.”

”Mm, miss, I’ve brought back all the black pearls and shells you asked for.”

”Excellent, then let’s sew a mermaid swimsuit. Serea-chan will look so enticing in it.”

Tethys spoke as if she already considered Serea her exclusive model.

She took out magic thread and various materials, ready to get to work, but suddenly Little Mo stiffened.

”Oooh!”

It was a voice full of hostility. As a Deep Sea monster, little Mo could sense nearby threats through water currents, and just now, he’d spotted several powerful beings entering Lake Nos along the river.

”Little Mo, what’s wrong?”

Little Mo screamed and swam down to the bottom of the lake. Seeing this, tethys and Nora also realized something was wrong.

”Let’s go check it out.”

”Okay.”

With those words, tethys leapt into the water, transforming into a blue mermaid. The two swiftly followed behind Little Mo. After leaving the cave, little Mo’s body rapidly swelled as he transformed into a level 29 Deep Sea Octopus.

He could further improve his level by expanding his size, but that would require Tethys’s help.

Exploding from the lakebed cave, they hovered in the water and looked toward the river mouth—the direction Little Mo was warning about.

”Is someone coming?”

Just as she finished speaking, several dark shadows at the river mouth rushed toward them with great speed. It was dark by now, and beneath the water it was even harder to see the shapes clearly.

But it was clear the enemies were coming for them, so...

”Little Mo, get ready!”

”Oooh!”

Little Mo moved to the front. Tethys was about to use her song to awaken the Abyssal Octabrute to scare off the enemies, but as she opened her mouth, her eyes widened. It was a terror as if seeing a natural enemy.

”Sha!”

Splash, splash, splash!

The black shadows burst out of the lake and then dove back toward the bottom. They were...

Level 20, bronze elite, mutant naga!

”Sea... Sea witches!”

Seeing the naga and recalling something, tethys began to tremble in fear—so much so that she couldn’t finish awakening the Abyssal Octabrute.

”Miss!”

Nora called out worriedly when she saw Tethys’s terrified expression. In just a few seconds, more than ten mutant naga were upon them. The leader was especially robust, with six arms wielding a cold iron trident. The tentacles trailing from its back were poised to attack.

Level 29, silver elite, Sea Palace Guard!
