From BOSS to Canon Fodder: She is Currently Out of Service!

Liang Xiaonuo and a few others have been dealing with the Insect Race for over five years now, and the number of insects buried at their hands is countless.

The few of them have developed an instinct about these creatures that is almost terrifying. Seeing the rather petite insect cocoon before them, they instantly thought of the missing Insect Imperial. However, this size... seems unworthy of its title.

The Insect Race rarely comes in small sizes. The stronger the power and the higher the level, the larger the size, like the Insect General Mother Tree that Su Jiameng once eliminated—that was quite a gigantic creature. Liang Xiaonuo and his team had seen quite a few high-level Insect Race specimens, and this size wasn’t considered large among the ferocious Insect Race. They had expected to encounter an Insect Imperial that was thousands of meters in size.

Su Jiameng knew exactly why this was. Indeed, the Insect Imperial was a creature surpassing thousands, even thousands of meters. Yet, once it evolves to an even higher existence, its size would actually shrink. The higher the shrinkage ratio, the higher the potential of this Insect Race.

She looked up at the still liquid-dripping cocoon, with cold and suppressed emotions pressing in her chest, as if something wanted to burst out and roar in release. Su Jiameng took a deep breath, making an effort to calm herself down.

Such blatant anger only happened a handful of times in her life: once seeing a comrade she believed dead betray them, aligning with the opposing faction; another when the Alliance’s high-ups framed and hunted her down, half-pushed into becoming a Star Thief undercover; a third time upon discovering the so-called divine’s chosen—players who treated everything she cherished with a gaming mindset; and this time, an outburst of utter rage!

Her reason told her to remain calm, observe carefully, and discover that perhaps the truth wasn’t as she imagined it.

But on the other hand, she was extremely out of control, emotions surged, wishing to destroy everything around her, burying the secret forever thousands of meters underground! Why... why is the truth so ironic!

Inside the cocoon, yellow-brown liquid slowly seeped out, nourishing those beautiful plants. If one looked closely, they could see the closest plant—most drenched by the liquid—move its little finger, with delicate eyelashes fluttering slightly.

”Jiameng, what truth are you talking about?” Liang Xiaonuo scrutinized the little finger-sized people, finding that, in terms of appearance alone, they were truly flawless—to perfect to critique. If they weren’t plants but living beings, how gorgeous could they be?

Any one of them could easily outshine those so-called perfect beauties outside, attracting countless greedy eyes and covetousness, right?

Su Jiameng didn’t answer but instead collected a cup of yellow-brown liquid with a special container, throwing it into the Plane Store for price evaluation, which turned out to be exactly as she imagined—the price the store offered was astoundingly high! Of course, this stuff is the essence compressed and refined after that Insect Imperial absorbed unknown amounts of energy—if it weren’t precious, wouldn’t it be a waste?

Her expression grew colder, lips pressed into a line, eyes gleaming with chilliness, ”The truth I speak of relates to a very ancient race. You might not know of their existence, but they can be found on this Plane.”

”Huh?” The few were surprised as Su Jiameng’s topic shifted at a terrifying speed, completely disconnected.

”In the entire cosmic species, any creature with life, whether animals, plants, or those neither animal nor plant, each has spiritual power. However, Telekinesis, is both rare and elusive. Even if possessed, it may not always be used smoothly.”

Su Jiameng began to explain, yet her revealed expression carried inexplicable irony and fatigue.

”Telekinesis originally belonged to a powerful Cosmic Species as a unique ability, elevating them above other species through its presence. They had a complete system of using and awakening Telekinesis. Within this race, finding someone without Telekinesis was tough. This race was so strong, it instilled fear.”

”Among countless cosmic species, only one might dare claim supremacy over the skies. As absolute masters of space domains, no one would deny or question this. Yet, as time moved forward, this race gradually vanished from the universal stage due to exceedingly poor reproductive ability, such that all their members combined would find a single planet spacious.”
