From BOSS to Canon Fodder: She is Currently Out of Service!

Ancient Earth is the birthplace of the Human Alliance’s civilization, but due to the reckless destruction of the biological environment by ancient Earthlings, it led to various natural disasters, energy depletion, and a miserable life. The ancestors of the Alliance were left with no choice but to flee into the stars, wandering for an unknown number of years before they finally took root on a completely unfamiliar planet, striving to proliferate, which eventually led to the Human Alliance.

For this reason, the Human Alliance is not fond of mentioning past events, even harboring some resistance.

Su Jiameng fully understood the complexities and didn’t argue further. How advanced was the culinary industry on Ancient Earth? Just look at how her delivery chain stores became wildly popular across several planets... Especially Ancient Huaxia, which was a haven for foodies.

Before long, Lu Anchen and the others were drawn by the aroma, their mouths watering. Satisfied, they patted their slightly bulging stomachs—it’s been a long time since they enjoyed such a feast since arriving at this damn plane.

”Take a moment to digest, everyone, and we’ll get to work shortly!” Su Jiameng spiritedly pointed in a certain direction, ”I have a hunch that there’s something we want in that direction! We’ll set off in half an hour!”

Liang Xiaonuo feigned a wail, ”Really? So it’s a sweet treat followed by a beating. I was wondering why Jiameng was so nice this morning, turns out it was all for this. But, did Jiameng discover something? How can you be so sure there are results in that direction?”

Su Jiameng pressed her lips together, revealing a serious expression, ”There’s a long story to this. I had a very strange dream yesterday. But after thinking it over, it probably wasn’t a dream. It was a tangle of telekinesis between me and the Insect Imperial’s mind.”

The Insect Imperial? Everyone perked up upon hearing the term, abandoning any frivolous thoughts. Cui Hu hurriedly asked, ”Jiameng, your telekinesis crossed with that Insect Imperial’s? How are you now? Last night you...”

Last night, Su Jiameng had indeed coughed up a mouthful of blood, and that pale face was still vivid in his memory.

”It’s fine, this all started with Xihe.” Su Jiameng’s face showed a hint of gratitude, ”Because the materials used to forge Xihe are special, the knife can absorb the remnants of the Insect Race’s spiritual power, then integrate and condense into its unique spiritual power, and this spiritual force field is now infinitely close to the Insect Imperial! Last night, Xihe was summoned by an unfamiliar spiritual force...”

Su Jiameng had pondered over this many times and finally pieced together the key events. Xihe’s unique spiritual power was discovered by the hidden Insect Imperial, and the Insect Imperial mistakenly thought Xihe was of the same tier as the Insect Race, thus extending an invitation.

Later, Su Jiameng leaned against Xihe for a nap, her spiritual power in a relaxed state. Xihe, as her trusted blade, had fought alongside her tirelessly, naturally achieving a [heart-to-heart connection], with a harmonious spiritual force field.

Because she was close to Xihe and their spiritual fields were harmonious, the Insect Imperial couldn’t distinguish them and mistook Su Jiameng for Xihe, sending unilateral contact. However, Su Jiameng was inherently indifferent to the Insect Race; even in deep sleep, she disliked it.

After the initial spiritual contact, Su Jiameng’s telekinesis coincidentally entered the Insect Imperial’s spiritual depths, and she glimpsed its memories! Initially, the other side didn’t notice, but when Su Jiameng attempted to discover the secrets it tried to obscure, the Insect Imperial became enraged and launched an attack on what it viewed as a despicable intruder! It never doubted Su Jiameng could be an Insect herself...

Su Jiameng suddenly coughing up blood was due to this. Unfortunately, she didn’t see the most crucial content. Yet, despite this, she learned of the other party’s current state and location... Ha, it was truly a case of searching high and low only to find it effortlessly!

”...In summary, before us lies both an opportunity and a disaster.” Su Jiameng took a sip of water, moistening her dry lips, ”That Insect Imperial is more cunning than any Insect in terms of intelligence! It is currently attempting to break past the Imperial threshold to ascend to a higher level!”

”Hiss—the Insect Imperial can further evolve?” Everyone drew in a breath of cold air.

An Insect Imperial could easily lead the Insect Race to ravage the Alliance’s star systems; from this point, one could tell how terrifying and troublesome this behemoth was. But to think... it could further evolve even higher! What horror would that be upon success?

”Naturally, the Insect Race is universally acknowledged as having no evolutionary limits, as long as they have energy, they can evolve without cessation.” Compared to the others’ worries, Su Jiameng appeared relatively calm, ”This Thousand Illusion Beast Insect Imperial began pupating and accumulating energy ten years ago. The scarcity of high-ranking Insects on this planet is due to its absorption and plundering.”

”Ten years ago?” Everyone spoke in unison, ”So now it’s already succeeded in evolving?”

”Naturally not yet, though it’s close...” Su Jiameng’s eyes darkened, ”No matter what... whether for our mission or to prevent it from successfully evolving and regrouping the Insect Race to assault the Alliance once more, we can’t let it succeed!”

”Phew—good that it hasn’t succeeded yet, otherwise what’s the use of fighting...” Liang Xiaonuo breathed a sigh of relief, letting out a rare expletive.

”The next seven days are crucial for its evolution. If we succeed in stopping it, we can also complete our mission.” Su Jiameng scanned the group, a determined smile forming on her face.

However, behind her smile, a vague and ominous premonition lingered like a shadow around her heart. (To be continued.
