They had long anticipated that their great-grandfather would be angry, and it was understandable. The two of them indeed acted improperly back then; after so many years, they still sneaked around to find him. Anyone would wear a stern face and scold them a bit, but they all agreed it wasn’t a big deal.

In fact, Gu Molin was indeed a bit upset, but not about anything else. He was mad that the two rarely came home yet didn’t have the guts to return to the Gu Family openly, opting instead to sneak to him... When did the men of the Gu Family become so timid?

Facing Gu Ningyi and Gu Huaixi brothers, Gu Molin’s expression was always flawlessly shifting between being fierce and benevolent, ”Xiao Feng, you two really should pay some attention; after training, take a bath before coming back. Look at all the sweat, what if you catch a cold by accident? Come, come, have some hot water first, and then take a bath...”

Gu Ningyi and his brother exchanged glances, with only one thought in their eyes—this is favoritism! Were they adopted?

”Great-grandfather, it’s not necessary, brother said he has something to say to you...” Huaifeng’s eyes were bright and black, always wearing a bright smile. He was a real contrast to his brother; one developed a face paralysis from training, while the other smiled until his face went numb.

”Oh? What does Xiao Xi have to say to great-grandfather?” Gu Molin valued education for the children highly, and his method aligned with Changxi, being more adept at gently guiding the children to think and grow for themselves, ”Did you encounter difficulties in training?”

Huaixi shook his head, and stole a small glance at Gu Ningyi and Gu Ningzhi, his eyes evidently guarded and resistant. Even though they were blood relatives, Huaixi didn’t consider the two to be absolutely trustworthy, as blood ties don’t guarantee unconditional trust.

Gu Molin didn’t correct the child’s instinctive guard and cautious behavior. To him, having a sense of caution wasn’t bad; being easily fooled and counting money for the ones who tricked them would be truly terrible!

”No worries, your two uncles are very tight-lipped, hardly gossipers. If Xiao Xi finds the matter significant and inconvenient to say outright, whisper it to great-grandfather first; if great-grandfather thinks they can hear it, you tell them. If not, we will go elsewhere to discuss it,” Gu Molin said with a jovial smile, giving Gu Ningyi and his brother a playful look.

Huaixi pondered it for a moment, then stepped forward and whispered something in his ear. The smile on Gu Molin’s face froze instantly; his eyes glistened with delight, and his voice was uncontrollably joyous, ”Child... are you sure about what you said?”

Huaixi answered solemnly, ”Yes, great-grandson dares not hide anything. This is something left by father; although it should have belonged to me and my brother, the matter involves the Alliance and can’t be settled as just an inheritance.”

Gu Molin, being a man accustomed to upheaval, quickly suppressed his happiness and approached it with calm composure. He glanced at Gu Ningyi and his brother and said, ”There’s no harm in telling this to your two uncles. They both have had certain ties with your mother and are trustworthy.”

Huaixi then took out the contract, along with a screenshot of a certain section from a letter, ”This is the planet father bought...”

At this statement, Gu Ningyi immediately understood what [the bought planet] was. He had always wondered why Gu Ningxuan would spend a hefty amount to purchase a planet with no energy or profit and could only imagine it was to impress Su Jiameng with a proposal gift... Giving a planet does sound quite spectacular.

However, hearing this now, it seems the matter isn’t that simple? Clearly, his younger brother’s planet purchase isn’t merely for vanity, but for more substantial reasons... He patiently awaited Huaixi’s next words.

”...According to the contract and the contents of the letters father wrote to mother, they mention something profoundly significant... The planet is rich in natural Clay Ore!” Had the mineral reserves been average, Huaixi wouldn’t have lost his composure, neglecting even to shower after training while dragging his brother back home. Both he and Huaifeng already have an abundance of Clay Ore, comparable to some standard mining veins.

However, based on the information disclosed in the contract and letters, these Clay Ores cover one-tenth of the planet’s land! The planet is somewhat special, with land covering seventy percent of the total planetary surface, having no extensive oceans—only crisscrossing rivers.

The planet’s volume is dozens of times that of Ancient Earth! Considering this, how much Clay Ore could there be? He dared not delve deeply into that thought...

”Natural... Clay Ore...” Except for Gu Ningzhi who was slightly puzzled, both Gu Ningyi and Gu Molin understood the rarity of such a thing. Gu Ningyi knew because Su Jiameng had personally revealed it, and it was mentioned as a precious resource in her novels. Gu Molin knew because he was already in touch with Qiu Yexuan and others and was aware of even more intricate details...

”Yes... maybe it isn’t essential now, but as the Insect Race spreads wildly, it becomes crucial,” said Huaixi calmly, ”Hasn’t great-grandfather been preparing for Mind Awakening recently? Clay Ore is indispensable for that.”

Gu Ningyi and Gu Ningzhi glanced surprise at Huaixi and Gu Molin, shocked that the old man dared to let the kids know these confidential matters?

What they don’t realize is, currently, the only individuals capable of guiding telekinesis are, apart from those re-enlisting and striving like Zhu Mengtong, just these two children. Naturally, they have the right to know these details.

”I understand; I’ll assign more personnel to take over there... but...” Gu Molin tilted his head and poked Huaixi’s cheek, ”As for who will be sent, you and Xiao Feng will decide, and in the future, those people will be yours...”

Huaixi looked at him in shock, vaguely grasping his intention.

”Xi and Feng are among the most renowned warriors in the Gu Family’s ancestry. Great-grandfather hopes you two can do even better, not letting down these two names! Understand? Haha... There’s no need for too much pressure; great-grandfather will always be here...” (To be continued.
