From BOSS to Canon Fodder: She is Currently Out of Service!

Thus, Gu Molin’s understanding was forcefully refreshed again, and the two little boys were astonished to hear how unexpectedly their mother was such a story-worthy person! Although she only held the rank of Lieutenant General, she was definitely outstanding!

Thinking about their mother’s glorious past, the two boys instantly felt that Grandpa’s demands weren’t that excessive. With such an impressive mother and genetic inheritance, if they didn’t manage to secure one-fifth of the quota, it would truly be undeserving of their mother’s aura.

”I didn’t expect... you found out so much earlier than I anticipated...” Gu Ningyi sneered twice; Gu Ningzhi was immediately intimidated. ”You know even more than I expected. I kept pressing you at that time, wondering why your lips were sealed like a clam, avoiding my questions over and over — turns out there was a reason for it... Just this once, don’t repeat it!”

Gu Ningzhi timidly stretched out his hand and said, ”Actually, what I want to express isn’t just this, but another matter... Do you remember a very peculiar character named Wu Su in that novel? She’s also in this plane now...”

Wu Su, a character who appeared in the early stages of the novel with almost no presence, despite having a significant part early on, was shockingly overlooked. Then, in the later stages, she made a comeback, overshadowing the female protagonist with a surge of popularity.

What’s more important is, she’s a technological talent — damn! Gu Ningzhi mentioned that she’s currently in this plane...

”Where is she now?” Gu Molin barely managed to stay composed; at this moment, lacking excellent combat talents, wise leadership talents, even more so technological talents, was dire. No matter where she is, they must dig her out!

”She came with me to Ancient Star, has always been concerned about Xiao Xi and Xiao Feng, claiming she’d come to see the children in a few days,” Gu Ningzhi declared, thinking he was quite clever in recognizing Gong Yulu’s potential early and persuading her to come.

Of course, the primary reason Gong Yulu came here was because the Huaixi Brothers were here; his persuasion indeed wasn’t a direct factor.

Anyone who has read the novel knows that Wu Su is quite assertive and difficult to approach. Honestly, if it weren’t for the connection with Su Jiameng and the two children, Gu Molin and the others wouldn’t be sure they could convince her to assist them. Compared to Su Jiameng’s dedication to the [Guardian] concept, Wu Su seemed too smooth and tough, someone who wouldn’t yield to pressure.

”Remember to keep her steady, leave the matter of asking her for help to me.” Gu Molin contemplated for a moment and made the decision. Although he’s uncertain about Wu Su’s exact talents and abilities, given the current lack of anything in the Alliance, she is indeed indispensable.

If they could invite her to assist, it would undoubtably be an excellent thing. The current Alliance is in a troubled time; two fallen planets are completely doomed, and although there’s no news of a third planet falling yet, nobody believes they could escape this easily.

No third Human Alliance planet has fallen, but reports of Insect Race appearances in other interstellar alliances keep coming.

Without exception, wherever the Insect Race appears, the planet inevitably falls in the shortest amount of time.

Quickly within two or three days, slowly within half a month, and the rescue troops usually don’t return. No one doubts that the Insect Race would eventually rampage over the Human Alliance.

The Insect Race is mysterious and powerful, greedy and savage; its existence can trigger the deepest fears within people. When it displays its straightforward ferocity, no one will fail to shudder. Therefore, early preparation can lessen sacrifices.

Gu Molin is the epitome of an old fox, making him the best person to invite Gong Yulu, significantly increasing the chances of success.

Having said this, naturally, the conversation turned to the matter of that planet, unanticipated amounts of natural Clay Ore, even the laymen’s hearts would skip upon hearing it.

However, everyone understood that these belonged to the two children; how to use them, they have the most say. Even though they are the elders, they don’t have the right to decide for them.

Otherwise, it would be stealing from the two children, and they wouldn’t be able to face anyone even in death.

Yet, they indeed need Clay Ore now, especially natural Clay Ore, which significantly increases the success rate of stimulating telekinesis!

”You two children should also stay vigilant; every blade of grass and tree on that planet is yours. No matter who it is, even if it’s Grandpa or Great-grandpa asking you for it without justification, it’s wrong.

You may be young, but you must remember this: you can eat anything but never swallow unfairness!” Gu Molin seriously instructed.

As elders, how could they possibly seize the belongings of the two children who have lost their parents?

Even if there’s a need, it’s supposed to be exchanged for something of equal value... Of course, when Gu Molin saw the high value of Clay Ore, he was utterly speechless and doubled down on teaching the two boys not to suffer losses.

Anyway, as the children are part of the Gu Family, giving a slight discount is no problem, but outsiders trying to take advantage, that’s impossible!

”Xiao Xi, do you have specific plans in mind?” Gu Molin asked.

”First, dispatch people to mine, then hide them well... Mom used to say, having a treasure is no sin, but having it too openly attracts peril when your benefits are large enough to challenge authority, that’s when danger comes.” Huaixi seriously stated, ”The news must remain sealed!”

Gu Molin nodded; although the Gu Family was wholeheartedly for the Alliance, they wouldn’t foolishly lay all their cards on the table.

Moreover, they are protecting the Alliance’s citizens, not those who manipulate interests and play power games. Warriors are a sword, but it’s a sword for the entire Alliance, not a tool for a minority to profit from. (To be continued.
