From BOSS to Canon Fodder: She is Currently Out of Service!

However, the female soldier suddenly remembered an important detail, and hurriedly said, ”Apart from these, there’s one more important thing to note. The Clay Ore you obtain on this trip will be settled in a unified manner, and the Alliance will deduct a certain percentage of the ore.”

”Hmm, we got it.” Su Jiameng didn’t take these words to heart. Clay Ore might be precious to others, but for her, not necessarily. She still had some unprocessed Clay Ore in her inventory, which she had exchanged with Yu Feng before, and hasn’t finished refining yet. However, if there’s more ore, it’s an extra gain.

The five left the underground registry to return to the bar surface, finding the air much fresher. Looking around, the Qi Alaruo indeed had left. Su Jiameng called over to Liang Xiaonuo and the others, ”We’re leaving soon, want to have a drink here?”

They didn’t have any experience fighting the Insect Race, and the next six months would be a formal adaptation period. Facing a group of ugly things all day long brought considerable psychological pressure, so they decided to have a couple of drinks before leaving!

Su Jiameng knew her own alcohol tolerance, and with a tough battle ahead, she didn’t want to drink. However, she found it hard to refuse their toasts, so she just took a small sip with a smile and put it down. Compared to Su Jiameng’s ”restraint”, Liang Xiaonuo and the others were much more relaxed, even the smallest drinker, Theo Mosley, boldly drank two huge glasses of beer.

This orangish-yellow drink wasn’t an ordinary beer, but a brew made from various modified and replaced materials. Its flavor was rich, with medium alcohol content, but not easily intoxicating, even children could have a small cup.

Su Jiameng naively thought she’d be fine, but just after leaving the town, her body felt hot, as if a flame was burning inside her, and she felt dizzy. Fortunately, her rationality remained, and her movements were not hindered. Her blushing face hidden under the hood, no one but herself noticed her anomaly.

With passage permits, they encountered no obstacles upon reaching the Life and Death Line defense area. After a series of checks, they were finally allowed in, stepping for the first time into this entirely Insect Race-composed dark world, fully experiencing why it’s called the ”Dark West Corner Star Domain”! Here, besides slaughtering the Insect Race, there’s no other purpose.

The air here wasn’t very suitable, so to avoid affecting actions, everyone wore a purifying filter mask. As the mask started working, Su Jiameng took a breath of clean, fresh air, and her already burning brain felt even more aflame, like adding fuel to fire.

Upon setting foot on this land, she felt her chest pounding violently, as if something was struggling to break free and burst out from this place. As someone whose past life was constantly entwined with combat, she naturally understood what it meant.

She was a peace-loving person, but at her core, she was a bloodthirsty, battle-hungry fighter. She yearned to tear apart the Insect Race’s bodies and craved the life-and-death combat rhythm! Liang Xiaonuo noticed keenly that Su Jiameng’s hand holding the Xihe Blade sheath was trembling slightly. It wasn’t fear, but a strong battle intent! How surprising!

”Where should we start looking next?” The Dark West Corner Star Domain was vast, with countless planets, but not every planet needed searching. After long analysis and information from Life and Death Line patrol soldiers, they roughly locked onto a dozen planets where the Insect Imperial might appear, ”Maybe we can try our luck...”

”No... Searching for the Insect Imperial is important, but it’s not what we should be doing right now.” Su Jiameng suppressed the impulse to draw her blade and fight the Insect Race, speaking with barely maintained calmness, ”You haven’t seen what the Insect Race is like. If we stumbled upon the Insect Imperial all of a sudden, annihilation would be putting it mildly; I fear one encounter and we might be wiped out...”

Meaning, in the upcoming time, she would take the four of them to solo those bizarre Insect Races, teaching them in real combat, helping them accumulate battle experience, get familiar with the rhythm, and improve their strength! At least ensuring no member is lost!

”Isn’t this wasting time... Aren’t you eager to head back?” Theo Mosley rarely spoke up.

”Sharpening the axe does not delay the chopping of firewood; this might not be time wasted... I have always been confident in my judgments.” Su Jiameng said simply, ”This is where the Insect Race’s density is the lowest, perfect for you to practice.”

Most of the low-end Insect Races around the defense line had been cleared, but Su Jiameng, who maxed out her hate-pulling skill, still attracted hate, not just from humans but from the Insect Race too, still as fierce as ever!

However... when several types of low-end Insect Races began gathering in large numbers, Liang Xiaonuo speechlessly nudged Cui Hu with his elbow, ”So much for the practice; she rushed in alone, sweeping the field majestically, leaving nothing for us to do?”

Indeed, as the Insect Race began surrounding them from all sides, Su Jiameng couldn’t hold back and drew the Xihe. Forget about practice, she charged straight in! Without a word, slicing through effortlessly, her toes using the Insect Race’s bodies as pivots, swiftly moving or dodging, swinging the Xihe. A flash of white light, and an Insect Race would be chopped evenly in two.

Not only that, but her striking speed was terrifyingly fast, within seconds, dozens of sounds of blade slashing into flesh resonated. Her agile figure only left a blur, and the blood and mucus of various races along her path proved she had been there...

Lu Anchen asked, ”What should we do?”

Cui Hu observed Su Jiameng’s advancing path and quickly issued orders, ”Pair up in twos, watch each other’s backs, and cooperate in combat. Once successful, retreat immediately, regardless of whether the target is dead. Don’t get entangled in battle! If in trouble, seek help immediately, life comes first!”

Though not understanding why Su Jiameng suddenly burned with such passion, watching her for a while roused his own battle spirits too. (To be continued.
