From BOSS to Canon Fodder: She is Currently Out of Service!

This planet is located at the very edge of the Dark West Corner Star Domain, which is also the furthest place from the Insect Race remnants. Moving slightly forward would lead to the Alliance Military’s warline, and once crossed, the crisis would increase ten thousand times instantly!

Su Jiameng and her group of five swiftly approached the town that was growing larger before their eyes, like five phantom shadows, leaving only faint traces before quickly disappearing. The cold, fierce wind blew relentlessly, hitting their faces with a sharp sting. However, for Su Jiameng and her group, this posed no real harm, just a minor inconvenience...

Liang Xiaonuo hurried forward, while lifting her hand to tuck the hair obstructing her vision behind her ear, her voice calm and steady, ”Jiameng, according to our previous investigation, this Dark West Corner Star Domain is also known as the Life Forbidden Zone. No life can survive here. Yet, from what I observed from above, that town seems quite bustling, and... it’s not just humans, but other races as well.”

”Because of the benefits, Clay Ore...” As Su Jiameng sped on, a giant stone obstructed her path. She nimbly and swiftly stepped onto the rock wall of the boulder, changing her direction while leaping without any hint of slowing down, ”As I’ve mentioned before, the stimulation and growth of telekinesis require a precious resource known as Clay Ore, and naturally occurring Clay Ore is extremely rare.”

Cui Hu followed Su Jiameng’s movements closely, stepping on the points she had used for leverage. Although his speed didn’t match that of his companions, he knew how to achieve his goals with the most efficient and least strenuous method, being a brainy type skilled at calculations. In terms of strength, as a Commander, he couldn’t really compare to his teammates, but when it came to intellect, there weren’t many who surpassed him.

”Clay Ore? Is this resource here, which is why they’re pursuing such a precious mineral?” Cui Hu keenly noticed the contradiction and asked, ”But you also mentioned that the Insect Race is a species extremely greedy for energy, leaving nothing growing in their wake, and depleting energy resources. This is where their remnants are gathered; how could there be such a thing?”

Cui Hu cast his gaze toward the increasingly close gigantic town while pondering deeply. Suddenly, a flash of insight struck his mind, as he entertained an extraordinarily bold possibility! Could it be... that the Clay Ore is actually... produced by the Insect Race?

Su Jiameng had previously mentioned a detail, which was [naturally occurring Clay Ore is extremely rare]! So, could he boldly speculate that, besides being naturally formed in the universe, Clay Ore could also form afterwards? And the Insect Race could be playing an extremely crucial intermediary role? Or perhaps as creators? Incubators? This idea took firm root in Cui Hu’s mind.

What followed was Su Jiameng’s response, which confirmed his speculation and resolved everyone’s doubts, ”Don’t underestimate these eternally unsatisfied despicable creatures of the Insect Race, for it is this despised species that possesses a very unique ability. You know, among Mind Power Users, the Insect Race has another name, which is—Mother of Clay!”

”Mother of Clay, literally the ’Mother of Clay Ore’ abbreviation, and the Clay Ore currently circulating in the market, besides a very small part of extremely pure natural ore, the vast majority comes from the Insect Race.”

”From what you’ve said, the Insect Race loves energy, and Clay Ore is a kind of energy, so why would they leave such things behind?” Cui Hu imagined the scene of killing Insect Race members to explode Clay Ore, and for a moment awkwardly realized this isn’t like defeating monsters at all.

”In the course of evolution and growth, lower-level Insect Race members have surplus and unused spiritual power undergoing a series of secretions, depositing within their bodies to form something akin to an energy cluster. Depending on the Insect Race’s strength, the duration the energy cluster remains in their body varies.”

”The longer it stays, the naturally larger and denser the spiritual energy cluster becomes. Ironically, although the Insect Race crazily plunders energy, they can’t actually use the Clay Ore that forms, whereas it can be absorbed by Mind Power Users of other races, enhancing their ability. The Galactic Alliance’s ability to hold onto every inch of land, and even counterstrike to severely damage the Insect Race, is partly related to the increase in Clay Ore.” Su Jiameng wore a calm expression, ”Though I still despise them!”

It is said that the existence of the Insect Race has significantly reduced the cost of cultivating Mind Power Users. The Insect Race brought disaster, but in the eyes of many opportunists and those involved in dark trades, the opportunity outweighs the danger. Given the Insect Race’s formidable combat prowess, although there is synthetically produced Clay Ore, its yield remains low, and each piece of Clay Ore is extremely precious, worth an opportunist wagering their life.
