Chapter 84: Chapter 6: [Case Reversal Arc] Legendary NPCs (Part 3)

As a result, the entire tavern’s players were horrified to discover that the entire tavern had become a special map, and none of the teleportation items could be used. Alliance Vice Admiral Han Yeming had already opened kill mode, and his opponents were those four NPCs...

The forum players watching the live stream were speechless, ”WTF, what kind of twist is this? We thought Han Yeming would see his ex-girlfriend’s son, apologize deeply, everyone’s hands would join for a handshake and reconciliation, working together to clear the name!”

Now what? No wonder he’s ranked as the top scumbag in ”Star War,” his scummy and heartless nature has reached its peak!

They also wondered why this Vice Admiral didn’t let the NPCs go to the military department for a chat, instead of lowering himself to come to the bar...

Damn, afraid they wouldn’t bite, so he used himself as bait? Too scummy! Quite a few fanfic writers got creative, preparing another wave of scumbag abuse ideas! Scumbags don’t die, the holy war doesn’t cease!

The Huaixi group wasn’t made of pushovers, noticing something was off around the tavern early on. The four immediately went into combat mode, and the whole tavern was wrecked in an instant. Innocent tavern players got wiped out, dropping five levels as punishment... How tragic.

When NPCs fight, it’s the unfortunate players who suffer... Of course, not counting the forum group watching the live video.

It’s rare to see a battle between NPCs, especially one with such high-quality standards. Han Yeming personally led the team and ambushed, yet in the end, the four NPCs managed to break out smoothly and swaggered away...

”Truly the mad Lieutenant General’s son, taking after his mother!” This was the players’ unanimous thought.

Then, very quickly, they thought of a deadly issue! Damn, with NPCs fighting this fiercely, what about the pre-expansion tasks?

Facts proved that players were still too naive, thinking if ”Star War” kept having these epic twists, would the game still be playable? The mission to clear the name would naturally continue, and the subsequent developments left people stunned.

After the battle, players who took the mission contacted Gu Huaixi brothers, hoping to find clues for the next tasks. What did Gu Huaixi know? However, it didn’t stop him from using this group of players’ imaginations... Everything went smoothly.

Su Jiameng’s family background was briefly mentioned officially, but actually, the Su Family’s ancestors were incredibly powerful.

The people may be gone, but the connections remain, not to mention Su Jiameng’s grandparents were known for their benevolence, people with a reputation for kindness. When their descendants were wronged, those who benefited from them and were at odds with another military faction were happy to help.

Moreover, there were some die-hard Su Family supporters, just the right people to string the tasks together.

Many players began to hustle, with all sorts of tasks scattered everywhere. Investigating the truth from back then, probing the bad deeds done by the opposing faction over the years, digging up unspeakable incidents from the past... the situation began to get complicated.

The early tasks were basically about investigating and gathering evidence, exploring the enemy faction and the truth behind Su Jiameng’s betrayal. The mid-phase involved finding witnesses and testimonies from back then, contacting those who knew Su Jiameng and could speak for her to clear her name. The final phase was rallying all forces to clear her name, presenting all evidence to the Alliance military tribunal...

During this, there were also various secret battleground tasks, search missions, reputation grinding tasks, item collection tasks... Of course, the most critical and challenging step was getting the accuser back then, Han Yeming, to change his story!

When this task detail came out, many players said it was impossible!

If Han Yeming could change his story, WTF, would he have led a group to trap the little tavern, intending to eliminate Su Jiameng’s son left on earth? Even if players maxed out Han Yeming’s reputation and favorability, he still wouldn’t change his story...

At one point, players were stumped until finally, a cheeky player suggested...

”Since he accused for the sake of his child and future back then, now... shouldn’t he be able to change his story for the same reasons?”

Faced with the bizarre looks from many players, that classmate felt immense pressure.

Facts prove, this group of shameless players indeed had a peculiar way of thinking, finding an alternative path that worked!

The mission continued to progress, and the developments from all sides made the players exclaim in excitement!

Players had more freedom than NPCs, if one method didn’t work, they could think of another, without worrying about anything else, just focused on completing tasks... It is precisely because of this, they had the possibility of completing this almost impossible task chain!

Two months later, a curious player counted the number of tasks in the mission chain, both big and small, and found it added up to over two thousand... This is the result of many players united together, giving their best effort... After all, everyone was tired of the old expansion and the content richness of the new expansion... Ahem, just researching the content in the task chain made people eager to try...

After the military tribunal overturns the case, there’s another enormous upheaval. The Alliance Military Department is in chaos, and various tasks are handed to players for free... By the time they’re exhausted, it’s already been half a year.

”This world... hehe, it’s really interesting. It seems like the players are playing the game, but from an outsider’s perspective, it’s more like these NPCs are playing those players...” The Huaixi group watched the months of upheaval, secretly pushing players to achieve the goal of overturning the verdict.

Huaifeng listened to his brother’s words, stretching lazily, ”Doesn’t matter who’s playing who, it has nothing much to do with us.”

Saying it’s completely unrelated isn’t true, the only connection is probably the military statement of apology...

”If mom knew she finally cleared her name, she’d probably be really happy?” Huaifeng directed the players to retrieve the original of this official statement, suddenly finding that being an NPC is pretty nice...

”Probably... she wouldn’t care, right? After all, this world doesn’t concern her anymore, and she wouldn’t be bothered by what those people say.” Huaixi seemed very open about it, ”She’s just our mother, not Major General Su of this world.”

The entire ”Star War” was ablaze with excitement due to the new expansion, and no one noticed that the four NPCs’ IDs quietly vanished.

Before they left, a player happened to pass by, overhearing a snippet of conversation.

”Little bro, are you sure you want to bring these things back to dad?”

”Why? Big bro, don’t you think this gift is unique?”

”Unique? Haha, tens of thousands of fanfics about mom, if he reads them, his balls will hurt...”

”Ah, don’t act like you don’t want to do it, too? Don’t you want him to see how popular his wife is? Nowadays, tragic bosses always have high popularity... As long as it’s not kidney wear-out, it’s fine...”

In the distance, there seemed to be two gentle female voices persuading beside them...

Finally, that player shook his head, and a thought popped into his mind.

”Such troublesome little bears, where do they come from?”

Where’s the best place for raising Little Bears? Xilena’s Gu Family lend you a hand (*^__^*)

PS: The final extra Chapter, it’s over... feeling a bit indescribably melancholic, and also a big thanks to Mu Xining, a complete surprise... Lastly, the new book ”Future Military Lady,” let’s meet again...
