Chapter 67: Chapter 40: The Informant (Part 1)

Even if you have the ability to start a mech, you don’t have the money to buy one. Being a Mecha Master is a profession with strict requirements, where credit points are spent like they’re not even money. Five million is nothing to a true Mecha Master and can be squandered in moments.

Back in the day, she was one of those rich people who burned money! If it weren’t for that, she wouldn’t have the capital to go head-to-head with players in the final battle, scrapping fourteen absolutely high-end mechas in fifteen days! So, in this interstellar era, don’t mess with someone who has the ability to own their own mech. They’re either incredibly wealthy or have significant connections, definitely not someone an ordinary person can provoke.

Maybe it was because they’re a bit shell-shocked by Su Jiameng’s violent side, but the guys on the Qiming forum are all eagerly awaiting tomorrow! They’re looking forward to Zhang Yiqi finally taking her down after she’s been arrogant for so long!

Even if Su Jiameng shamelessly raised the ticket price to 200 credit points each, the sales were still incredibly fast! Watching the ticket count soar, she laughed so much she could barely see her eyes...

”Today is Old Lady Mo’s class, you aren’t planning to skip, are you?” Qin Chou sat in the last row of the lecture hall, lowering his head and intentionally speaking in a hushed voice, ”If you get caught, you’ll be deducted credits till you die!”

Zhang Yiqi tilted his head and looked at him silently, chuckling as he asked, ”If I don’t skip, and I can’t attend that challenge match, does that mean the other side would win without a fight, and your little treasure chest wouldn’t go down the drain?”

Qin Chou’s face froze for a moment, cursing internally how this bastard knew about his betting. However, to maintain his image, he coughed twice, hoping to make amends, ”Don’t put it that way, we are battle comrades after all, why would I do something that harms our own? Rest assured, I’ve bet everything on you!”

”Tsk tsk tsk, and you say there’s no sneaky business going on? How ambiguous is this?” As the two were secretly competing, a person sat down next to them. Turning his head, Qin Chou almost wanted to cry. Damn, why did this little ancestor come here?

”Yanyan, don’t speak nonsense, there’s nothing between him and me, trust me, he’s the one clinging on.” Zhang Yiqi helpfully took the stack of precious paper books from her and placed them properly, ”Doesn’t your class have any lessons? What brings you here?”

Liang Yan secretly stuffed an energy replenishment candy into her mouth, mumbling, ”Didn’t I take Professor Mo’s elective previously? I was absent before, and if I keep skipping today, I’ll probably have no credits left. Of course, I have to come to get through this elective course...”

Zhang Yiqi watched her popping the physical ability candy into her mouth, frowned disapprovingly, ”Did you stay up all night again yesterday? You didn’t even eat breakfast on time this morning, and if you end up with a stomachache, don’t blame me for it later. Let this beast accompany you after class...”

Qin Chou nearly exploded upon hearing that, why should he accompany this mentally twisted woman to make up for a meal! Whether she gets a stomachache has nothing to do with him! It’s not like he put a knife to her neck and forced her to skip breakfast!

”We are brothers, if you can bet your treasure chest on me, why not just accompany Yanyan for a meal?” Zhang Yiqi shot him a threatening look, mouthed some words, making Qin Chou shut up directly, while internally screaming in tears.

Damn, if we are brothers, how can you use such underhanded ’threats’ to force me to do something I don’t want to do?

What Zhang Yiqi meant was clear, if you don’t want to end up having no homework to copy in the future, obediently accompany Liang Yan for the meal.

”Of course, no problem at all...” Qin Chou patted his chest as he agreed, wearing a face that claimed he was the most loyal person in the world.

”Yanyan, remember not to be picky, just follow this beast and you won’t get lost.” He reached out to ruffle Liang Yan’s hair, which she disapprovingly swatted away.

”Don’t touch, it feels like you’re patting a pet, I might not grow taller.” Liang Yan opened her book gently, knowing that in the interstellar era, paper books are extremely precious, even as carefree as she is, she dared not mess around casually, ”You have something to do today, skipping class?”

Zhang Yiqi, a genius student at Xilena Military Academy. Even though he was young and had already received an honor medal from the Expedition Army, and the Expedition Army even extended an olive branch to him, who hadn’t graduated yet, he wasn’t arrogant or complacent, treating all his studies very seriously.

This guy is the type that even when severely ill, he insists on attending school like a true academic overachiever, skipping class and whatnot really doesn’t match his character.
