Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 685: Chapter 484 Agleya and Terry’s First Meeting

Hill’s mansion this time was the ordinary type that could last for seven days, and he believed that he would have a satisfactory residence by then.

Most deities could not match Hill’s speed and quality of construction.

Considering Terry, Hill specifically used spellcasting materials that easily expanded space, and sure enough, a large stone villa appeared in the grasslands, where Terry’s dragon form could easily enter through the front door.

The moment the golden dragon entered, it happily resumed its original form and soared in the sky for a long time.

When he had his fill of flying and landed, Hill asked him, ”How did you know it wasn’t Mystrian’s ring? Hasn’t he fallen long ago?”

Terry followed Hill into the house, ”Mystrian’s avatar is still around! My mom specifically made me smell his scent, telling me to flee as soon as I caught it.

Although that avatar is now in the Sharp Tooth Forest, who knows whether some reckless adventurer will bring him out.

Mystrian might have been a good person in the past, but having been tricked to death for so long, his mindset must have changed a lot.

What if he tricked us into vowing to help him find the real Mystery Rein Ring? That’s the crystallization of his Divine Power, enabling him to restore to a Lower Rank Divine Power immediately!

Who knows how many treasures Mystrian’s hand controls, giant dragons find such temptation hard to resist, it’s best not to meet him.

Fortunately, the one in your hand is not real, otherwise, dragons would certainly come to steal it, but elves probably also know of his whereabouts.

Humans, however, are few who know this, my mom said sooner or later a so-called human brave will enter Sharp Tooth Forest and embark on a valiant and fearless quest for the ring.

In the end, they’ll find that broken ring in some obscure corner and maybe even fight with Marla, leaving me to watch the commotion.

By the way, was this ring replicated by Coron? Is he that strong?”

Hill shook his head, ”It’s not the Father of Elves. But indeed, it was found in the elves’ treasure trove.”

Terry ’tsk tsk’ marveled a few times, ”No wonder the Chromatic Dragon Queen has always been so eager to plunder Coron’s treasure vault, there really are many good things!”

Hill glanced at him, despite loathing the Chromatic Dragon Queen and her minions, these metal dragons didn’t seem to view all chromatic dragons as enemies.

At the very least, some of the news about the Chromatic Dragon Queen must have been told to these metal dragons by the Neutral, Chaotic Faction chromatic dragons.

Such as the news that the Dragon Queen coveted Coron’s treasure vault, no such legends exist among humans and elves.

That is mighty Divine Power! The Dragon Queen didn’t want to put her head out and create trouble, suddenly a sharp arrow flew out of nowhere.

And the metal dragons, who disliked the Dragon Queen so much, never shared these matters with humans or elves, only Terry, who heard them as bedtime stories, would casually mention them.

Hill had a feeling that the reason why Puzzle Locks could no longer appear in Toril was that Mystrian had sealed all laws related to it inside that ring. That was the Mystery Lock Ring, and without understanding the principles of Puzzle Locks, no one could neutralize the ring’s defenses and absorb the Divine Power within.

Thus, Mystrian was not in a hurry to leave Sharp Tooth Forest; he had plenty of time to wait for a perfect start.

The ring Hill had, however, was replicated by the Star Spirit using laws commonly accepted in the Multi-Element Universe, and Hill was not from the Toril World, so he could bypass Mystrian’s various setups and successfully comprehend some principles of Puzzle Locks.

Since that’s the case, Hill didn’t need to pay attention to this matter anymore and just wait for the day when a subplot to save the God of Mysterious Lock would appear.

He had more important things to do now.

Hill stood upright, smiling, ”Terry, permit me to introduce a new friend to you.”

Dressed in an ocean-gradient colored long dress, Agleya appeared in the hall, holding her weapon, curiously watching the golden giant dragon.

Although she could see the giant dragon from outside her pendant, facing it head-on still made her unable to suppress her curiosity.

”My daughter, the Sea God Agleya,” Hill said with great pride.

Terry looked at Agleya in surprise, then gave Hill a sidelong glance, suddenly sniffing Agleya closely with a wrinkled nose.

Just as Agleya’s trident was about to thrust towards Terry’s large nostril, the golden dragon roared in a sudden realization, ”A Kind Alignment Sea God? By Bahamut above, am I still dreaming?”

Agleya hesitantly watched Terry, who was howling and stamping her feet, a bit at a loss, but she understood that Terry’s rude behavior resulted from his sheer astonishment, not intentional offense, so she could only turn her head and look at Hill, waiting for him to handle it.

”Terry!” Hill floated up, grabbing his dragon horn, ”Have you calmed down? Not every world’s Sea God is like Anbor, alright?”

The Otherworld aura on Agleya was too obvious, Terry would have noticed it had he been calm enough.

After taking in Hill’s words, Terry, after a struggle in his thoughts, finally grasped Hill’s meaning.

He heaved a heavy sigh, ”Other worlds’ huh! That’s no problem then. Any deity who can compete with Anbor for the dominion of the seas will have the coastal areas of the whole world offering their faith to you!”

”Although my dad showed me some books about Ambori, I still can’t believe it. How can a deity who even curses her own followers still exist?” Agleya asked Terry curiously.

”Robbery and violence, there will always be those who worship her out of fear.

In order to demonstrate her majesty, Anbor would even directly harm her own followers. If they don’t offer her enough gifts, she will overturn both the ship and the people on it.”

After pondering, Terry pulled from his bag a huge book almost as tall as Hill’s entire body: ”My mom made this book of deities for me to learn about the many and chaotic gods of Toril.

You can only take a close look at Ambori, as she’s weaker, and nothing happens even if you curse her by the seaside.

Other stronger deities, if you look too much, they will sense it.

I myself don’t mind, but your observation as a deity from the Otherworld could offend some.”

Agleya nodded firmly, disregarding Hill who was about to speak, and blurted out confidently, ”Just looking at the Goddess of the Sea who shares my divinity is enough!”

Agleya soon regretted it.

She stared at the lifelike portrait, her facial expression almost crumbling: ”This crazy hag is Ambori? Why doesn’t she have a lower body? At the very least, there should be a fishtail, right?

Why is she without clothes? How can she wear a cape made out of seaweed outside?

Hill’s Dad!”

Agleya looked at Hill with eyes close to tears, struggling to accept that her own kind could behave in such a manner.

”This is the poison of faith, Agleya.” Hill seized the moment to caution, ”And she is of the Chaotic Evil! That makes it even easier for her to turn ugly. Those who know her wouldn’t think of such a terrifying goddess as a beautiful girl!”

Looking at the worried Agleya, Hill said soothingly, ”Actually, Agleya doesn’t have to worry too much, she is just the Goddess of the Near Seas, her power is too weak to correct people’s impression of her, instead she has become what people imagine in their minds.

When she incarnates, she does have a lower body, which shows she also knows what looks good.”

Agleya said with determination, ”Hill’s Dad! I will never turn to evil! Nor will I absorb faith, even if my strength grows slower, as long as the seas acknowledge me, that’s enough!”

Hill nodded with satisfaction.

Terry watched from the side and suddenly spoke up, ”Hill, you really are a good dad! Way better than mine. He just threatens me with violence.”

Hill was taken aback, then affirmed in a matter-of-fact tone, ”But you are a boy! Daughters are certainly different.”

Terry hummed coldly and slumped to the ground, ”If I had a sister, her fate wouldn’t be much better.”

Hill suddenly thought of his own Oriana and could only force a smile, ”Even the naughtiest kids are their own, they are still loved, and they can’t avoid being disciplined.

Agleya is well-behaved, so I never need to be so strict.

You, who dares to run away from home, of course can’t get the same treatment as my obedient daughter, wouldn’t that be too unfair?”

Agleya, who had been dejected at the side, immediately cheered up, ”Of course! I am the most well-behaved child!”

The Golden Dragon revealed a smile with an ambiguous meaning, ”Ah! Chaos! No one knows whether surprises or whims will come first!”

Agleya quickly looked up, her trident tightly in hand, ”This is the seaside! Do you want to experience a flood that reaches the mountain top?”

Terry quickly adjusted his attitude, ”Nice to meet you, Agleya. I hope we can be friendly neighbors. For Hill’s sake!”

His continuously shifting golden eyes hinted at his inner unease.

Hill understood a bit of what Terry was thinking.

The nearby Sword Mountain Range would give Anbor a hundred opportunities and she still wouldn’t be able to flood it, yet Agleya’s tone suggested she could do it if she wanted.

Toril had gotten used to that worthless Goddess of the Near Seas, and not many would take her seriously before seeing Agleya’s power.

Though a bit embarrassing, this period of being underestimated was actually very important for Hill and Agleya.

Once Agleya had purified a portion of the Undead Swamp, no one could expel her using the method of banishing creatures from another world.

The biggest problem with her Water Elemental incarnation now is just that.

There’s nothing to fear in a fight, but being expelled in such a manner would be a huge loss of face for Agleya.

After some thought, Hill decided to go to his study to deal with his Magic Book, leaving space for the two actually very headstrong big kids to communicate.
