My Youth Began With Him

When Su Yu and Huo Mian looked into each other’s eyes, their gazes seemed frozen.

He had a million things to say, but he couldn’t seem to say them.

In the end, Su Yu smiled. “Is that how it feels? Meeting you for the first time is like meeting an old friend.”

Huo Mian nodded slightly.

“I think… it’s probably because… the two of us were fated in our previous life… I feel that you owed me a lot in your previous life… so you have to make it up to me in this life.”

“What do I owe you?” Huo Mian asked seriously.

“You owe me money, I guess… I wouldn’t mind if you are going to pay me back now.”

Huo Mian was speechless.. “Su Yu, you’re so shameless… You’re a super-rich man, how could you squeeze money out of a nurse with a monthly salary of 4,000 yuan? Do you have any morals?”

“But you have to pay what you owe me…” Su Yu continued to tease her.

“Then can I pay you back by burning gold ingots…?” Huo Mian said with a sharp tongue.

“F*ck…” Su Yu didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. This girl’s personality hadn’t changed at all.

Just then, Huo Mian thought of something and took out the thermometer from Su Yu’s mouth.

Then, she smiled and said, “Your body temperature is normal. Your fever has gone down…”

“Excellent.”

“Mhm, after I leave, if you still feel pain in your head, put the thermometer in your mouth and continue to take your temperature. If you have a high fever, you need to take this medicine… because if it’s viral influenza, you might have a recurring fever… You have to be careful.”

“Yeah.”

“I’ve got to go.”

“Don’t go… you’ve been so busy all night that you haven’t eaten yet…”

“I’m not eating. I’m on a diet.”

“What’s there to lose? You’re already like pork ribs… No, you have to eat something with me before you leave.”

“Do you have anything to eat here? It’s already so late. If we order takeout, it’ll be late. I shall not wait anymore.”

Huo Mian got up, put on her jacket, and was about to leave.

It was already 9:30 pm, and it was indeed quite late. Most of the patients were already resting.

“It’s fine. Isn’t there a kitchen in this VIP ward?”

“Don’t tell me you want me to make food for you. I’m so tired, I’d rather not eat and go home to sleep,” Huo Mian said nervously as she looked at Su Yu.

“I’ll make it for you. Give me some time.”

After speaking, Su Yu got off the bed and went straight to the kitchen.

Huo Mian was shocked as she watched Su Yu run away. “This guy’s body is really strong… He’s still alive and kicking even though his fever just subsided.”

Seeing that Su Yu was being nice, Huo Mian didn’t leave.

She sat down and continued watching her TV series.

About 30 minutes later, Su Yu served the dishes one by one.

There was actually cooked rice, and the rice was placed on an exquisite plate.

Beside it was broccoli and a piece of abalone.

“This… this… this is abalone rice…”

“Mhm, don’t worry. The abalone is fresh. My mom sent it over this morning. It has always been in the fridge…”

Before Huo Mian could respond, Su Yu rushed into the kitchen.

He served spicy codfish and a plate of steamed crabs.

Then there were mustard fungus and stir-fried ham with cucumber slices.

There were four dishes and two servings of abalone rice.

How was this a casual meal? The cost of this meal was too high…

The food prepared for Su Yu had to be fresh every day, so the Su Family would send people over every morning to deliver fresh ingredients.

The hairy crabs were huge. Huo Mian once saw them on an online shopping site. They cost 3000 yuan each.

Su Yu steamed four at once, which cost a total amount of 12,000 yuan.

Each dish cost more than 10,000 yuan. She was practically not eating a dish but money…

“It’s too grand,” Huo Mian said.

“Let’s eat… I’m starving.” After speaking, Su Yu immediately placed a hairy crab in front of Huo Mian.

“How do you know I like crabs?”

“You like all seafood, right?” Su Yu asked with a smile.

“How did you know?” Huo Mian looked at him warily.
