My Youth Began With Him

“Yaoyao, how come you’re here?”

“I didn’t have practice today, so I decided to visit you.”

Han Yueyao was very well mannered and valued practicality.

When she came, she didn’t come empty handed although she knew that the Su Family didn’t need anything.

She bought some fresh fruits and a box of supplements for Madam Su out of politeness.

“Take a seat, I’ll clean up a bit.”

Madam Su was also well-mannered. Seeing that there was a guest made her go change and get ready.

This wasn’t the first time Han Yueyao visited the Su Family’s residence.

However, it was the first time she visited alone. To be truthful, she struggled with the idea for a while.

She was afraid that she wouldn’t be wanted there. Maybe Madam Su would be in a bad mood and wouldn’t want to talk to her.

Her visit might not make Madam Su feel better, so she thought about it for a long time.

Finally, she decided to visit Madam Su. The Su Family must be devastated that Su Yu was missing.

His mother must be the most devastated; after all, a mother is connected to her child.

Madam Su got ready very quickly; she even changed into a dark green silk Qipao.

She smiled elegantly and brought Han Yueyao to the living room downstairs.

The maids prepared some tea, fruits, and desserts.

“Auntie, where are the others?”

“They returned to the capital.”

“About President Su…”

“You know about it?” Madam Su looked at Han Yueyao and could guess the answer.

“Mhm, I forced An to tell me,” Han Yueyao lowered her head in guilt.

“Our Yu… He’s an unlucky one, always surrounded by tragedy…” Madam Su got emotional as her eyes reddened.

Han Yueyao extended her hand and placed it on Madam Su’s.

“Auntie, President Su will return safely. Mian and President Qin went to rescue him.”

“Yeah, having Mian and Chu there for him makes me feel a little more assured… I really hope he is fine.”

A mother’s heart was linked to her son. Whenever something happens to Su Yu, Madam Su was the one who got hurt the most.

“Auntie, take care of yourself. Don’t let President Su worry.”

“I will, I can manage… As for his father and grandfather, they must keep working, so they must suppress their grief.”

“It must be a really tough time for you.”

“Yaoyao, how have you been? I’ve been keeping up with Dance of the Century… It’s almost the finale, right?”

“Yep, it’s this weekend.”

“Are you confident that you can take the crown?” Madam Su gently smiled and asked.

“No.”

“Kiddo… Why aren’t you confident in yourself?” Madam Su broke out in a smile despite the tears.

“Auntie, I’m not lacking in self-confidence. My opponents are too talented, their dances are amazing. I feel like I got to where I am because of luck. Yuan Bo really helped too, his fans have been voting for us… Otherwise, I would’ve been eliminated already. I don’t even dare to dream about winning.”

“Who said that? I think your dancing is good. You work hard; last time you got injured, you still persisted… It’s scary what you can do when you’re stubborn.”

“Mhm, I’m like President Su in that way. We’re both stubborn donkeys.”

After speaking, Han Yueyao thought that what she said was inappropriate and attempted to correct it.

“No, wait, I meant, I am a stubborn donkey… President Su isn’t one.”

Seeing Han Yueyao’s adorable side made Madam Su feel much better.

“Yaoyao, if Yu comes home safely, are you still willing to be my daughter in law?” Madam Su suddenly changed the topic, making Han Yueyao flush all red.
