My Youth Began With Him

Seeing Zhao Qingya had lost her senses and was acting like a mad dog, Huo Mian knew she and Su Yu would die if the whipping continued.

As Su Yu was distracted, Huo Mian lunged over and caught Zhao Qingya’s whip. Zhao Qingya then felt numbness in her wrist and dropped the whip.

“What… did you do it to me?”

Zhao Qingya lifted her wrist and saw a hair-like silver needle piercing into the skin of her right wrist.

The skin around the needle began to turn purple.

“I poisoned you…”

“You poisoned me?” Zhao Qingya paled in fear.

“Don’t you know that other than being a doctor, I’m also a master of poison? Zhao Qingya, enough is enough. Do you think you can kill me and Su Yu? I tell you, you’ll die before you can kill us and the poison will erode your body little by little until you look worse than a ghost and die in suffering.”

Hearing Huo Mian’s harsh words, Zhao Qingya’s heart sank.

“Huo Mian, you’re very good. Then I’ll set you on fire and kill you first.”

Zhao Qingya went mad due to her fear.

“Zhao Qingya, I don’t want to kill you. You can still choose to help us… I have an antidote.”

“How can I believe you, bitch?” Zhao Qingya’s face was white in fury.

“You have no choice… I’m afraid if Mr. Y knows you’re poisoned, he’d order people to dump you in the depths of the jungle and let wild beasts eat you… So, you have to help yourself. As I said, so long as you help us get out of here, Su Yu and I will forgive you.”

This time, Zhao Qingya was swayed by her words.

Everyone was afraid of death and Zhao Qingya was no exception.

Watching the skin on her wrist change colors and feeling the itchiness and pain from the wound, she knew Huo Mian wasn’t lying to her.

After all, Huo Mian must have been prepared when she came to rescue Su Yu all by herself.

“I can help you, but Y won’t agree. My words are worthless…” After some hesitation, Zhao Qingya spoke of her concern.

“Don’t be afraid. Put some of the contents in this bag into his tea and he’ll fall asleep and know nothing. Of course, you can put more in it to get him out of the picture. You know, a little of the powder can make one fall asleep for 24 hours and with more, he will never wake up again. It’s your own choice.”

Huo Mian tossed a bag of white powder at her feet.

“You don’t have much time now. I want you to get us out of this jungle and to the nearest town. When we’re in a safe place, I’ll give you the antidote immediately. Otherwise, the poison will enter your heart in seven hours, and I can’t help you after that even if you beg me. So, Zhao Qingya, make your choice.”

Huo Mian was now at Zhao Qingya’s mercy, but her tone was so confident and overbearing that Zhao Qingya cowered before her.

Zhao Qingya licked her lips and bent down on her shaky legs to pick up the bag that Huo Mian tossed at her; she seemed to have made a decision.

“Even if I can handle Y, what about Huo Siqian? He’s the young madam’s minion…”

Zhao Qingya didn’t know about Huo Siqian’s alternate personality Jack and thought the man she saw was Huo Siqian.

“He went with that woman but might come back in a while. So, now is the best opportunity we have… Zhao Qingya, I give you only ten minutes. You must make your choice now, or we’ll die here together…”

Afraid Zhao Qingya would change her mind, Huo Mian struck more fear into her heart.
