I Am Diagnosed as a Medical Titan

Chapter 211: Chapter 149: Goodbye

Now, he would have to rely on himself to calm down.

But after about five minutes of trying, Jiang He found that it was impossible to calm down.

Holding a soft, fragrant woman in his arms, at the peak of his virility, trying to suppress it all with sheer willpower was pure torture.

He lowered his head and said softly, ”Teacher Shen, I have a little, half-baked idea. Would you like to hear it?”

...

「Four hours until the flight’s departure.」

In the hotel room, the two were still holding each other tightly.

The air conditioner was blowing, but it couldn’t dispel the heat on the bed.

At some point, one of Shen Yu’s legs had found its way over Jiang He’s waist.

And Jiang He’s hand rested naturally on her leg.

He had been caressing it back and forth for two hours through the ultra-sheer 5D black nylons.

The temperature under the small covers was alarmingly high.

Neither of them spoke, but both were burning with an unbearable heat.

Even their breaths were heavy with audible panting.

Jiang He’s arms around her tightened, and the hand on her leg pressed down with increasing force.

The smooth nylons were on the verge of snagging from his constant touch.

And the pale skin beneath the black nylons was nearly rubbed red.

Finally, Shen Yu couldn’t take it anymore.

She bit her lower lip, her voice trembling as she said, ”Jiang He... I need to take a shower... We... we have to go.”

Hearing this, Jiang He turned his head to glance at the clock on the wall.

’I don’t want this to end.’

’How did two hours go by so fast? It feels like we’ve only been holding each other for a moment.’

But seeing Shen Yu’s face flushed red, her gaze hazy, he knew they couldn’t continue.

’If this goes on any longer, something’s really going to happen.’

”Okay.” Jiang He loosened his arms. ”Go on.”

Shen Yu felt a wave of relief.

She threw back the covers, and when her feet touched the carpet, her legs trembled uncontrollably, almost causing her to lose her balance.

She steadied herself against the edge of the bed, then, without looking back, quickly fled into the bathroom, slamming the door shut with a BANG.

Listening to the sound of rushing water from the bathroom, Jiang He let out a long, heavy breath.

He threw off the covers and sat up. Looking down, he shook his head with a helpless sigh.

While Shen Yu was showering, he quickly found a clean pair of pants and changed into them.

Although they had both toed the line for the past two hours and nothing had crossed the boundary, with them pressed so tightly together, some friction was inevitable...

After changing, Jiang He waited for Shen Yu to come out, then went to the bathroom himself to wash his face, splashing cold water on it to quell the lingering heat in his body.

...

They checked out and got in the car.

In the taxi to the airport, both of them fell silent by unspoken agreement.

Soothing music played from the radio, and the streetscape flew past the window.

Shen Yu leaned against the back of her seat, her cheeks still tinged with a faint blush from their entanglement in the hotel.

She turned her head to look out the window, but one of her hands was held tightly in Jiang He’s, their fingers intertwined.

Jiang He’s thumb gently caressed the back of her hand from time to time.

From the heat and turmoil in the hotel room to the quiet of the taxi now... time really seemed to fly.

On the overhead signs, the words ”International Airport” grew closer and closer.

The sorrow of their impending separation slowly began to settle in their hearts.

...

「Two and a half hours until the flight’s departure.」

The airport terminal was flooded with people. Flight information crackled continuously over the PA system, and travelers with luggage carts hurried past.

Jiang He pushed Shen Yu’s suitcase with one hand and led her by the other toward the check-in counters.

”Give me your ID. We’ll get your boarding pass first, then check your luggage.”

Jiang He led her to a self-service check-in kiosk.

In this day and age, these machines were still something of a novelty, and many people didn’t know how to use them.

Of course, Jiang He was an expert.

He printed out the boarding pass, then took her to the counter to check her bag.

It wasn’t until her suitcase was tagged and slowly carried away on the conveyor belt that Shen Yu truly felt it: she was really leaving.

With all the formalities completed, the two of them arrived outside the security checkpoint.

Jiang He hadn’t let go of her hand since they got out of the taxi. Now, facing the gateway of their separation, his grip only tightened.

Shen Yu glanced at the crowd queueing for security ahead and tried to pull her hand back.

She tugged once, but it didn’t budge.

”Dr. Jiang,” Shen Yu said softly, ”I have to go.”

Jiang He said, ”Just a little longer.”

Seeing his red-rimmed eyes, Shen Yu’s heart ached inexplicably. ”Oh.”

She stopped moving and let him hold her hand.

The two of them just stood there quietly.

All around them was the roar of the crowd and the constant shuffle of feet.

But in their small corner, the clamor of the world seemed to be shut out.

About two minutes passed.

Shen Yu’s eyes suddenly reddened, and a tear plopped down.

At first, the tears fell silently. Then her shoulders began to tremble, and soon she was sobbing uncontrollably.

She cried inelegantly, sobbing with a heart-wrenching sense of grievance.

The sight of her tears was almost too much for Jiang He to bear.

He quickly pulled Shen Yu into his arms, holding her tight.

”It’s okay, it’s okay.” Jiang He patted her back, comforting her in a low voice. ”Once we’re apart, we can start counting down the days until we see each other again. It’s okay. We’ll see each other again soon.”

Shen Yu buried her face in his chest, her hands clutching his clothes tightly. Between sobs, she scolded him, ”That’s not why... I’m worried about you. Once I’m gone, you’ll definitely go back to your reckless ways. I’m worried you won’t take care of yourself... You’re an idiot. You’re so stupid. Idiot.”

With his own eyes red, Jiang He went along with her, ”It’s okay, it’s okay. I’ll take good care of myself. When I get back, I’ll have Chen Hao keep an eye on me. I’ll have him take a picture of me every day and send it to Juanzi, and she can forward it to you for inspection, how about that?”
