Endless Winter: My Camp Upgrades Infinitely

Chapter 1640: Chapter 517: Breaching the City, First Over the Wall and Despair (Part 2)

“Liu Yuan, the two of us will handle him. You hold the edge of the wall and let our brothers below rush up first. The gate definitely won’t break open for a while…”

Yue Feng’s long saber drew a fierce cold edge and clashed forcefully with Mo Haiwen’s longsword. He was slightly weaker in strength, causing him to retreat three or four steps.

“Dare to be so arrogant, brothers, slaughter him!”

Mo Haiwen forced Yue Feng back with a single blow. Seeing that he did not escape into the sky but continued to stand on the city wall, blocking in front of Liu Yuan together with Xiao Kangcheng, he realized that the three intended to clear the path for the Xia Army behind them by force. He immediately shouted violently and led countless soldiers to surround the three.

His strength was 8 jun, Yu Dongxin was slightly weaker with more than 6 jun. If it were a one-on-one fight, neither Liu Yuan, Yue Feng, nor Xiao Kangcheng could match them; not to mention, at this moment, the two were accompanied by so many Cold Resistance Level soldiers.

The siege on the city wall by Mo Haiwen and Yu Dongxin quickly bore results. Within just over ten breaths, Liu Yuan and the others were forced to the edge of the wall.

No, using “edge” was no longer appropriate, because the three had already been completely surrounded by hundreds of Beisuo Garrison, and that so-called edge area was already filled by the Beisuo Garrison.

Mo Yu did not stand at the forefront of the soldiers; instead, they hovered slightly above the ground, about five or six meters up, standing over Liu Yuan and the others, continuously attacking the three.

Clearly, the two intentionally aimed to block Liu Yuan and the others from taking to the air, wanting to kill them before the Xia Army soldiers arrived.

Clang… Clang…

Yue Feng and Xiao Kangcheng were under the greatest pressure. They had to guard against Mo Yu above while watching the Beisuo Garrison continually closing in from all directions. Under the dual threats, although they managed to make dozens of kills, their space to move became increasingly limited, and big sabers even began occasionally striking them.

However, the Beisuo Soldiers who struck them displayed not a trace of happiness on their faces, only deep despair.

It was just because their saber edges couldn’t penetrate the war armor of the two. In mere dozens of breaths, at least a hundred blows landed on their armor, but aside from leaving some white marks, they had no effect whatsoever.

Moreover, because their war armor was silver to begin with and the forging pattern was so dense, even those white marks weren’t very clear. The sense of powerlessness from blades striking pointlessly only deepened their despair.

“Ten Thousand Forging Level Silver Armor, Great Xia can even produce this!”

Mo Haiwen’s longsword had also struck several times. His eyesight was much keener than that of ordinary soldiers. He had long noticed that all three, Liu Yuan included, wore Ten Thousand Forging Level Silver Armor, and his pupils were filled only with envy.

Casting is not like weapon manufacturing; it isn’t something that can be done with just the right materials.

War armor has many components and styles, with the purpose that it must be made to fit comfortably in battle, not hindering movement. This demands astonishing precision in components, making casting methods highly secretive in all camps, never shared outside.

Up till now, Beishuo Town can only cast Hundred Forged Level Silver Armor, while higher-level armor must be bought from the Feudal Town side.

Great Xia has only expanded east for a few years?

Even able to produce Ten Thousand Forging Level Silver Armor now!

Crack…

“Without preparation, would I risk boldly stepping onto the city gate like this, Mo Haiwen? Just the two of you would block our path?”

Liu Yuan cleaved two soldiers in half in the rear. Seeing a gap at the edge of the wall with a cloud ladder already set up, he looked up and fiercely questioned Mo Haiwen above, then shouted loudly word by word, “Today, the East gate will surely fall…”

Splutter…

As if to affirm his words, an incredibly clear sound suddenly came from behind, and everyone present heard it; it was the sound of sharp blades piercing flesh.

“Commander, I’m here to assist you!”

Besides the three, the first one to climb the wall was none other than the Vice Commander of the Cloud Dragon Army, Wang Yuan.

Wang Yuan was wearing just Thousand Forged Level Silver Armor, but it was enough to resist the first wave of attack from the Beisuo Garrison on the city wall.

“Zhu Xing, lend me a hand!”

Being naturally burly and enhanced by the Thousand Forged Level Silver Armor, he stood like a demon god, clamping the cloud ladder with his legs to block the first wave of attack. Shouting angrily to the rear, he suddenly leaped up from the ladder, jumping over three meters high to the city wall.

Splutter…

Leaping onto the city wall, Wang Yuan resembled a ravenous wolf among sheep. Wielding a giant Mo Blade, he cleaved horizontally and vertically, forcefully pushing back the garrison at the wall’s edge. In moments, he was only two to three meters away from Liu Yuan at the front.

“Stop him, watch the cloud ladder at the back, don’t let the Xia Army continue to climb up!”

Mo Haiwen’s brow twitched sharply seeing Wang Yuan appear, as his peripheral vision caught sight of a second person climbing the cloud ladder. His pupils shrank. In a panic, he forgot to handle Liu Yuan and the others below and directly yelled orders at the soldiers at the city wall’s edge.

“The cloud ladder is too heavy and too long; we can’t push it away!”

“No use, they’re coming up over there too.”

“Block them, don’t let them come up.”

“Brothers, hold them off!”

………

The Beisuo Garrison’s fighting spirit also began to ignite as countless soldiers surged toward the edge, attempting to block those climbing the cloud ladders.
