Endless Winter: My Camp Upgrades Infinitely

Chapter 1638: Chapter 516: Encircle Three, Leave One; Blood Miasma Plain Disturbance and Siege (Part 3)

Xia Hong turned his head and looked at his wife, raising an eyebrow slightly, and said: “No need, just take good care of Yao’er and Sheng’er. I’m back now; there’s no need for you to take action!”

One must say, his wife’s talent is beyond words. She reached the Xianyang Level in the ninth year of Great Xia, and now, in just three years, her basic strength has reached 19 jun.

Xia Hong remembers clearly that when his wife had just reached this level, her strength was at 9 jun, which means she is now at mid-stage Sun Level cultivation.

Of course, she can’t be compared to him, but compared to others at the Xianyang Level in Great Xia, or even those in the Feudal Town at the Xianyang Level, she is already leading by a significant margin.

“I’ve got plenty of nice things prepared for you. Once this battle is over, your strength should see a huge surge upward…”

Xia Hong only spoke half of his words, but it made Li Xuanling’s eyes light up. She had already heard about the battle at Baimu City from Xia Chuan the night before, though she had not seen it with her own eyes, she could roughly sense that Xia Hong’s present strength probably far exceeded her expectations.

Li Xuanling understands her husband’s temperament well; if he says they are good things, they certainly won’t be simple.

“Father, I want some too…”

Hearing his eldest daughter’s interruption, Xia Hong couldn’t help but laugh.

“Hahaha, alright, alright, Ah Yao will get some, Sheng’er will have them too, everyone will have them, father won’t forget you…”

However, after saying this, he paused, then changed his tone, adding more seriousness to his face before continuing: “But, you two need to watch carefully today, and see how the lands of Great Xia came to be…”

At ten years old, if placed in the previous life, one would only be a child, not to mention in such a cruel place like the battlefield, even spending a few minutes in a slaughterhouse might cause psychological problems.

But here is the Ice Abyss!

Not to mention other weaker camps, just taking Great Xia as an example, even in today’s powerful Great Xia, children around ten years old must start learning to hunt Cold Beasts, and going back a few years, it was even more intense. In the early days when Great Xia first moved to the valley, ten-year-old children had to go out into the wilderness every night, whether to chop wood or gather resources; encountering and being killed by Cold Beasts were not unheard of.

The incident of Xia Yusheng’s abduction served as a wake-up call for Xia Hong; he couldn’t protect the two children all the time, even in Xia City he couldn’t ensure they would always be safe from danger.

Rather than using confinement to ensure their safety indirectly, it would be better to boldly let go and allow them to truly adapt to the ruthless survival rules of the Ice Abyss.

Witnessing the brutal battlefield firsthand is the first step in adapting!

Li Xuanling evidently realized her husband’s intention, her face briefly showed hesitation and she instinctively wanted to say something, but was stopped by Xia Hong’s gaze before she spoke.

She remained silent for quite a while, and finally just nodded gently.

The two children, on the other hand, were very excited, completely unaware of the scenes they would soon witness, their eyes eagerly fixed on the soldiers below the main general’s platform, their faces full of excitement.

“It’s dawn…”

Xia Hong looked up at the gradually brightening sky, whispered softly, then turned his gaze to the army formations below, ordering loudly:

“Beat the drums, blow the horns, begin the siege!”

Boom, boom, boom, boom, boom…

With his command, dense drumbeats immediately emanated from the side wings of the main general’s platform, and the drumbeats shook the heavens entirely, making every soldier’s heart start to beat quickly.

Wooo woo woo……

The drumbeats lasted more than ten breaths, then the huge sound of the horns joined in.

Any who were slightly strong could tell, both the drums and the horns sounded from three directions simultaneously.

The east main gate was merely the main attack direction of the Xia Army.

On the south and north sides, there were also two large armies assisting in the attack, and with Xia Chuan’s execution of the strategy of surrounding three and leaving one open, the original ten thousand troops on the west side had already been split into two groups, joining the large armies on the south and north sides respectively.

At this moment, the entire Beishuo City was under assault from three sides.

The main city gate on the east faced twenty thousand elite Xia Army soldiers; the south and north city gates each faced fifteen thousand allied troops.

“Fire the arrows!”

With the command from the masters of the three large armies, an immeasurable rain of arrows simultaneously flew towards the three city gates of Beishuo City.
